chapter 345 is out!!! best chapter from a long time (huge revelation)!!! go read it!!! :)

You're a little late. :(

Yes, the HQ version of 345 is out, but we've already discussed it from the LQ version...

My boss bought me a big Sanji figure today.

I also got a smaller version of the same figure.

And a Totoro bank that you fill by putting coins in his big open mouth.

But yeah, big Sanji > *

It seems 4kids' insatiable appetite for cutting the dub to pieces as gone one step further. Instead of shredding up ep 11, looks like they aren't even going to show it.

"For the moment 4Kids is skipping episode 11 of the One Piece anime series and is going right to 12. I have no idea why but I'm starting to have my doubts about them if they are going to start skipping episodes."

http://www.arlongpark.com/index.php

He's having doubts now? Um, first skipping episodes, what next.. entire Arcs?

~cough~ Arlong ~cough~

I can't remember what happened in ep 11, but it's not a good sign that they're starting to skip eps.
Arlong Park was one of the better story arcs as well, they can't skip it totally can they? It's there's good character development in that arc, not that they really care i guess.

In Episode 11 Usopp Tries to warn the village of Kuro's plan but no one believes him. Thus he tries to get kaya off the island but she doesnt believe him either and is chased away. He then meets of with zoro, luffy and nami to form a plan againts kuro. Funny thing is that the place where episode 10 ends, 12 begins. Me smells lazyness.

I decided to TiVo today's One Piece (episode 10) just because I wanted to hear Usopp's voice, and the preview made it quite clear they were skipping over the stuff concerning Kaya turning against Usopp. He also does go warn the townspeople and they drive him away in this episode, but I don't remember if that happened in the original version or if that's something they spliced from what is supposed to be the next episode into this one.

Also, you know the tow truck guy from the episode of Futurama where Fry and Amy hook up on Mercury? The one who sees the fogged up window and goes "Yo ho ho ho!" That's what Usopp sounds like. It's beyond the point of being bad and into the realm of the absurd.

Also, Kurahadol is renamed Klahador, yet his true pirate name is still Captain Kuro, which seems to indicate to me that the translators missed the pun of his name ENTIRELY.

His name (and that of his pirate crew) is based on his name Kuro, which means black. So his pirates are the Kuroneko (Black Cat) Pirates, and his false butler name uses Kuro as its base and just sort of embellishes on it, hence Kurahadol.

Now they could have played off this any number of ways in the dub. For one, they could have just left the name with its proper pronunciation, which would clearly have shown that "kuro" was incorporated into his name. Or they could have translated it, make him Captain Black and make his butler name something like "Blackstone" or "Blackwell" or something along those lines.

But translating one name to "Klahador" and leaving the other as "Kuro" just doesn't make any sense at all and pretty indicates that their translators were completely clueless of why he uses the pseudonym he does.

It's not like it's a "bad" edit, but it is a pointless one.

Oh, okay. Is that even technically a pun though? I was focusing on the "hadol" part, and couldn't come up with shit, hahaha. Totally forgot that they were the kuroneko too.

Holy...... mother of God!

It just does not get any better than that! Pure unadulterated, adrenaline pumping, Zoro badassery, from start to unbelievable finish. Fuck... what a fight, what a 20-odd minutes of jaw dropping excitement.

Wow, this anime has produced alot of captivating episodes, but this just raises the bar beyond anything else. I don't know what the rest of this arc holds and I'm glad for that fact, but.. damn it, I'm calling it.... episode of the series, and that is by no means an easy title to give away.

That IS a weird pic. From what I can tell, its a picture from Dogtato-kun. Still, what it means, if anything at all, kinda as me worried. Sadly, I missed out on 118. I need to download it from an HTTP link and I accidentally lost all my bookmarks during a near-meltdown of my computer. :P

I kinda wanted to see some of the Pluton stuff.

Oh well, I'll just have to wait for that OTHER group to sub 118, I guess.

Edit: Their channel message just says the site is down, so hopefully its nothing more than that. I suppose it was just the "Let's Give Up." thing that scared me, but maybe its only a coincidence.

119 is out!

Edit: Nevermind. What the hell is up with that site redesign though? They used to have that little bit on the top, but now everything is at the bottom.

Manga: Chapter 346 raw out.
There's a BIG revelation... as big as the last chapter.

Iceberg and "Franky" were both apprentices to the same master. And this whole Franky Family hooligan thing was all a sham.

Furthermore, Iceberg has entrusted the Pluton blueprints to Franky.

Oda's storytelling roxxxxxxxxxxxxx.

Speaking of Oda, it seems though he has tied the knot recently to Chiaki Inaba, who apparently plays Nami at One Piece stage preformences at Jump Fiestas.

Hoo-boy, congrats to Oda and all the best!

Anyways 120 is scheduled for tonight, they hope.

Keep your eyes on the clocks, kids, because One Piece 120 is coming in just 2 hours and 20 minutes (midnight EST).

And while you're busy getting One Piece 120, you can double your fun by watching the single worst episode of Fullmetal Alchemist on Adult Swim. :D

You guys know not to ask for PMs either =b. See ya in two days Revenant, En-ou =P.

Haha, I do now. Oh well, what is done is done.
119 was sorta disappointing, but I can't place my finger on why.

So, they're going to have some kind of "super special release extra" to go along with 121 tonight. And it's not going to be music.
