Yeah, I haven't seen any ads either. Maybe Sony are waiting for the reviews to come out and then start a blitz with review scores littered throughout? Although they've cut it pretty close if that's their plan. There's a very cool Butterfly trailer on YT that could double up as a TV ad...

Still, I think it will do very well. It's just a gut feeling and while those are about as useful as numbers from chartzzzz, I'm going with the gut.

I also don't think Gears will do nearly as well due to the bad smell that MCC left behind. Another remake from MS? Could be mistakenly seen as just as bad by some...

Ehh there was an open beta for the game so people know how it works. And it's a known ip. I don't think it'll do amazing but I can see 70k opening easily. Plus it's bundled so however many Xbox are sold that week will go towards it

That is one dull chart that seems to have low numbers associated with the titles. Not bad for MS to have majority of top ten but given the apparently low sales numbers it's effectively meaningless.

Need those big Autumn/Winter spikes to shake things up.

Risen 3 (Enhanced Edition) was only released on PS4. PC got (or getting) a free graphics upgrade.

Yeah, MS has been bolstered by having some great console deals from some retailers over the summer, so the slightly back catalogue multi platform stuff has gotten a boost from people catching up. Fully expecting MGS PS4 to smash XB1, but looking at how well Lego has done, Infinity 360 might win that multi-format war.

Last week was the week when that chart was supposed to be published. I guess they didn't include it because it was an issue devoted entirely to Gamescom.

I agree. I also agree with MCV that the charts are essentially meaningless, but do with have a recent split on digital v retail in the UK? I can't imagine it being that close on console with the prices of new releases on PSN and the XBox marketplace.

They put out the software revenue figure for retail in the UK this week in MCV UK, but I haven't seen a July 2015 platform breakdown. Sad if that disappears. :(

What's the source of this? And considering the PS4 was at 0.56 million in December 2014 (selling half a million in a year), would it be safe to assume closer to 1 million by now?

Nordisk film is the source. they are the distributes of PlayStation in the Nordic regions. Numbers are sell in. Although the PS1 numbers are from Screen Digest/IHS and more than likely will be sell through as no company ever reported sell in for PS1 numbers. The LTD is what matters though.

Also PS4 is not at 0.56m, it's at 0.50m. The numbers above are the cumulative sell in.

MS pretty much ran the show last week from those numbers. I wonder if tomorrow's numbers look about the same adding in Gears. ..
