Not actually that important

Well they sell it for £23.45 on dvd.co.ul as well

How else do you explain PSP having 1 title in the top 30 and yet it's total sales are close to the Wii and PS3? Here's the explanation: All those games are selling very close to each other. All those markets you mentioned are much larger then Switzerland. You can't seriously be comparing the Japanese market to Switzlerand. :lolspwolf said:not really, what do you based your data on? If we check Italian numbers, where we have concrete data, difference between #1/#2 and #10 is Huge... and difference between 8-15 is minimal... Same goes with Japanese data as well. Top 2-3 games sell 3x-4x if not more from 10th game. There is no huge difference between 6th and 16th game (depends on the week of course).
Didnt we have japanese montly data per platform info which was very similar to what we saw in Swiss?
I think only conclusion when it comes to sales data is that without hard numbers, its all bullshit.
That's utterly insane... and I actually consider myself a fan of the game. :lolCaptain Smoker said:Mario & Sonic LTD's, thx to MCV:

[Nintex] said:I remember how we laughed at SEGA, their 'stupid' game that would be outsold by Galaxy tenfold and wouldn't even crack the top 10 because publishers didn't even bother to get the license for the Olympics because all the previous games bombed...
Now they've got a hit on their hands and they don't even have a sequel ready. Instead they've released a 'real' olympics game that did bomb on PS3/360 and they gave Sonic a sword
OH Sega....
I think they were in dev at the same time because the real olympics game came out not soon after.Graphics Horse said:Don't think the 'real' olympics game might have been in development when Mario & Sonic came out, or before?
And you're really expecting a 2009 Olympics sequel?! I'm sure the idea of a winter olympics version for 2010 will have crossed their minds.

If you're going to think "it's all bullshit", then why do you keep mentioning how many times LBP chart? Surely it means nothing if you think "it's all bullshit".
If by meaning similiar you mean "DS selling nearly the same as all the other platforms combined", then sure it is similiar.spwolf said:what I am comparing was that in Japanese market, overall software sales for the month/week or whatever was posted in last weeks thread was actually were similar to Swiss sales, in terms of how platforms are doing vs each other.
and yeah, it is still bullshit, no matter who mentions it...

Despite a HUGE advertising campaign and the arcade SKU sold at $175, x360 still seems to struggle vs the Wii ($317). I think France has become the new Nintendoland, out of all countries it is here they are the most successful.dabra said:

Kilrogg said:Yes, but it's even worse in France. And I think the Nintendomination is even greater in France than it is in the US, because even on the software side, there's barely any concession made to the PS3 or the 360, as far as the top 10 is concerned.
Nintendo is doing well in France, but just as well (but in many cases worse) as they are in most other significant territories. Just look at the weekly UK and German charts. France is Europe's third (though a close third at that) biggest market, so if anything it is the UK and Germany that Nintendo is most successful.marc^o^ said:I think France has become the new Nintendoland, out of all countries it is here they are the most successful.

Yes you are correct, I have seen a few bundles with those two games + NFS Undercoverare PGR4 and Sega Superstars Tennis bundled with 360s? The jumps in position would make it seem so...
