(clickable)
How do I get there?
The closest public transit station is the World Trade Center Silver Line station. You can also walk down Summer St. from South Station.
Can I still get a badge?
PAX Badges sell like hotcakes You're going to have to get yours secondhand. Inevitably some gaffers will have extra passes so keep an eye on the thread.
What are the panels gonna be?
Here's a schedule of all of the panels: http://east.paxsite.com/schedule
What companies are gonna be there?
The exhibitor list is TBA when there's a official link; however there's a list in Guidebook right now.
Any Twitter handles I should follow?

Is there way I can get all this info on my phone?
Download Guidebook! http://guidebook.com/ - keep track of all the panels you want to go to on your phone, and whatever other convention minigames there will be. Maps of the convention center included!
Anything else about PAX I should keep in mind?
- The BCEC runs shuttles into Chinatown and South Boston during lunch hours; personally I think it's a much better option than eating the food in the convention center.
- Don't settle for ridiculously long lines unless you're really really really sure you want to play that game
- Indie Megabooth is STACKED this year.
- I'll probably add more to this when I can think of things
- Have fun!
Is there a GAF meetup?
You betcha. This year's meetup is at The Whiskey Priest, 150 Northern Ave, Boston, MA 02210 at Friday 7PM. Here's a quick and easy and clickable map for you:
Come a little early, come late, bring friends, just have a good time. One thing though, bring identification. You will get carded. Welcome to Boston. If somehow we can't get in, keep checking the thread for updates or PM me for info. We got late night public transit on the weekends for at least a year now in Boston, so drink up!
But I can't do Friday
Just in luck! There will be a second meetup! Details forthcoming.
What if I don't want to drink with Gaffers?
Well if you want to be one of those people... here's a Google Map with a list of PAX parties. I didn't make it so I don't know how complete it is.
So who from GAF is coming?
Here's a list thanks to Jipan. The list is in no way exhaustive.

Keep in mind, there will be bag checks
PAX ‏@Official_PAX Apr 3
For those wondering, yes, the bag checks are for safety and security. The building is requiring it, as they have the right to do so.
PAX ‏@Official_PAX Apr 3
And yes, the check is for weapons and dangerous goods only. We don't care about food, etc.

@LiamMurph18 8 AM is when we let people start lining up inside. If you want to avoid the huge crowds, just show at 11a - noon

MBTA news and notes
Update: Reminder: April 5-6, 12-13, 26-27: Shuttle buses replacing Red Line service between Harvard Square and Alewife Stations from start to end of service.
Due to the Floating Slab Project, buses will replace Red Line trains between Harvard Square and Alewife Stations in both directions from start to end of service during the following weekends:
- Saturday, April 5, through Sunday, April 6
- Saturday, April 12, through Sunday, April 13
- Saturday, April 26, through Sunday, April 27
Regular Red Line train service will resume at the start of service the following Monday. All shuttle bus stops are accessible for persons with disabilities.
Shuttling the following stops:
Alewife Station
Davis Station
Porter Square Station
Harvard Square Station
Beginning March 22, 2014, Government Center Station will be closed for two years while crews work to reconstruct the station into a fully accessible, safer, modern, more comfortable facility.
How Will This Affect My Commute?
During the station closure beginning on March 22, 2014, both Blue and Green Line trains will pass through Government Center Station but will not stop there.
For customers who desire to travel outside the system or use Hubway during the months when Hubway is in operation, the distance between State and Downtown Crossing as well as State and Park Street is minimal. It should be noted, however, that customers who exit and re-enter the system will be charged again if they do not have an unlimited weekly or monthly pass.
During Government Center's closure, Green Line trains will pass through Government Center Station but not stop there. The last downtown stop will generally be the following for each branch:
• B-Branch (Boston College) will end at Park Street
• C-Branch (Cleveland Circle) will end at North Station
• D-Branch (Riverside) will end at Park Street during rush hours and North Station at other times
• E-Branch will end at Lechmere
Additionally, Bowdoin Station will extend its operating hours and be open during all hours of service for the duration of Government Center's closure.
I'll keep updating until the day of; tell me if I missed anything or if I should highlight anything
