It's hard to pick favorites, I have multiple. Gen 1 is my favorite overall, but I don't get people who dislike gens. There's good and bad from every generation. I like a bunch from all of them.

This moveset right here saved me against the Elite 4 in Pokemon Blaze Black 2. I started with Attract, Swords Dance, then swept with Horn Leech. They usually couldn't do anything if the attract worked the first turn.

You mean Serperior? Best looking gen 5 starter and coil/leaf blade was pretty legit in bw 1 and 2. Contrary is just an added bonus.

I like its design and it was my favorite of the 5th gen starters compared to the other two starters. Helped me a whole lot in battles and stuff (not because of its ability).

Of the many starter Pokemon lines there's actually more mid-forms that are my favourite than the first or final form, Ivysaur included. Quilava even made it to the top of my Fire types it turns out!

While most of the pokemon are from the earlier games, I've liked a few from DP onwards. I find that the ones I was drawn towards were evolutionary lines started in Gen 3 and back days though.
