Thinking like this is exactly what caused Crash to disappear.
To be fair, I kinda figured the decline in quality of the games post-ND is what caused that.

Ready at Dawn of course. Will be the best looking Crash yet!I think sony will deliver, I wonder who will develop the game

Probably not. But I could see someone like Sanzaru working on it.
That's a good thing, ND now is much different from the dev who made Crash and Jak.
What shocks me is that other than Activision's hold on he IP, Crash is a franchise that would greatly stir up more excitement and sales than the Sly franchise, yet Sanzaru is got the go ahead to make a full blown sequel. Here is the problem. While people keep dreaming of Crash coming back...they expect the perfect comeback. They want Sony to own IP again, for ND to develop the game and for the game to be like the old games.
If this game does come back, it will not be what people expect. It will be licensed most likely, be by some crap team and game play be outdated and the eventual $60 announced price will have people screaming it should be a $20 game due to "old school gameplay" or "simple" to say the least.
I say let it die. Sony wouldnt put too much effort in a theoretical Crash game in 2016+. Only big IPs get the nice treatment unless Bluepoint is involved in the project.
Because, as I pointed out above, this isn't about any of that. There are tons of games Sony gives the go ahead despite knowing full they won't bring in profit and/or light up their genre. They don't care. It is about making what they want to make and, in this case, satisfying fans. One of the big reasons that the Yooka-Laylee Kickstarter was so successful was because of the pedigree and history of the developers behind it. If it was just a platformer like Banjo-Kazooie it would have likely still have been successful, but not to the level that it was. (See A Hat in Time) But since it was a new spiritual B-K title with most of the original team behind it, people were excited and threw money at it.
Crash doesn't have that luxury. Naughty Dog is done with platformers and even and moreso with Crash since Sony doesn't own the license.
Stack that on top of the audience on the PS4 being wholly uninterested in platformers and I can't imagine why Sony would waste their time with bringing Crash back.
Today's industry wants hardcore, mature, violent shooters and action games. There's no place for Crash these days, especially on the PS4.
They're probably doing something with Activision for the 20th Anniversary. Though I doubt there's going to be some some major Crash revival. I could see them doing a smaller digital title that's maybe just a mix of select levels from the first 3 games but redone in HD.
This better not just be teasing Crash of the Titans on PSN.

doesnt make much sense. Since Andy Gavin and Jason Rubin left a long time ago. idk how Naughty Dog developing Crash has to do with anything. Sony released Knack as a proof of concept. Sega wouldnt be releasing mediocre after mediocre Sonic games if there was no market. Also Mario. why on earth would Sony just left Nintendo have all the platformer market, when they have market share. They have room for risk and reward.
Awe shiet, hopefully they go big with the return. This is how Shawn will enter the stage. He will para shoot down from the mouth of a Crash Jaeger onto the stage to announce a new crash.
Whqt about god of war?Lol crash will be at E3. Every single game tease by Sony was announced already only crash left.
Whqt about god of war?
This means nothing.
When?Remember that one time they teased something related to Crash and nothing happened.
Yeeeaaah...
I still want tight platforming, but an open presentation as you've said. Set it on the original 3 Wumpa Islands and don't divide it into levels.Either way I hope they make a good open 3D platformer that is closer to Jak and Daxter with a Crash coat of paint than a true Crash 1-3 homage.

When?
When?
Just like Barack Obama.Shawn Layden's shirt all but confirmed Crash is getting another game IMO. He knew exactly what he was doing.
Just like Barack Obama.
If Crash comes back, he needs to look like this. Not that awful design in the OP tweet.
