Well, like I said it's stopping the one dude that I want to review (and if you give me two codes, anyway) it with. He couldn't play the iPhone version (he reviews iPhone games on his website) because of it. I have no problem with color blindness, but I figured I'd toss that out there for you to take into consideration.

I definitely appreciate you calling it out - there's so many things for a small studio like Capy to manage during development, that its impossible not to overlook certain things. Now that its on my radar we can see what we can do about. Gotta love patches :D

We're working on setting up a JPN release, so hopefully we can work it out... but it wont be anytime soon unfortunately.

THINGS TO DO ON GAF
  • [*]Move out of Junior Member status.
    [*]Earn a custom title.
    [*]Influcence a game studio with a game option decision.
  • Be hired by Microsoft/Sony as a consultant for the disabled and to tell them their games suck/rock.
  • Have my Zombie MMO become an international hit after getting a studio on it.
  • Have Violition Software make Descent 4 and release it.
  • Kill kassatsu and take over his threads.

We'll definitely have some codes for GAF. As for color-blind mode, we don't presently have that option but it's something we'll strongly consider for a patch. It'll definitely be easier than the iPhone, if only for the fact that your not playing on a tiny screen w/ 16x16 critters :D

I'm going to lay down my prediction that SCEA will only put 10-20 UMD games (both classics and new) on the PS Store next week. They've done a good job of over promising and underdelivering good. kassatsu's hands will be fine next week. SCE is bluffing us. They can hardly update the handful we get a week, and now we want them to have the single biggest PS Store update ever in one day? lol.

Truly a failure if they whiff this.

That said, I think you're wrong. I think they'll manage 50+ UMD Legacy titles in the first week.

I'm also alarmed at how there is no actual plan for UMD-owning folks (like me) who want some sort of modest upgrade path consideration. If there wasn't going to be anything, it's impolite to have suggested otherwise.

I can get Wipeout Pure 2nd hadn for just under 2000 yen. Possibly a bigger rip off than Games on Demand.

And if it isn't in tomorrow's NA update, now that it's in one region and isn't a ps1 game, how long do you think it should take to get over here? They've been talking up this release for almost a year. I'm soooo EXCITED!!!

It's an incredible rip off. Wipeout Pure is a 4 and 1/2 year old game. I suppose since it never went Greatest Hits/Best Collection in Japan, it's MRSP is still full price. That's 'pricing parity' for you.

One has to be slightly concerned about what other peculiarities will pop up with the pricing when everything goes up.
