Trump clear winner. His best debate. Not only won on the silly exchanges, but came of as genuine and somewhat knowledgeable about economics. It seemed like was the one fighting for the people while others were defending the status quo.

Cruz started out strong, but was destroyed by the end. His loser face was pathetic. Not only did trump make him seem slimy, but even rubio
Won their exchanges. He came off as a slimy too timing politician.

Rubio was surprisingly strong for a lapdog. Standard Republican talking points but he defended himself and came off as somewhat intelligent.

Jeb bush... pathetic. He disappeared and got slapped around like a little kid. Got called weak and cried. He's done.

Chris christie. Meh.

Kasich. Go Home

Carson was there?

Clearly this is a 3 way race. Trump Cruz rubio.

Facist populist
Tea party slime
Establishment lapdog

The debate itself was almost completely devoid of substance. Very little policy and they almost all agree on everything anyways. Most of the questions were garbage and the framing and moderation was pathetic.

The 9/11 card often falls on its face, like when Christie keeps using it or that one time Hillary used it.
Trump used the hand like a pro.

Well because it made sense here a bit. Cruz was basically using a generalization and stereotype against trump. Lol new york is full of liberals and liberals arent real Americans.

Trump basically said: why did they attack us there if we arent real Americans?

The way Hillary used it is by far by far the worst i have EVER SEEN. you are bought by Wall Street. 9 11 !!

Was that Trump song from a pep rally real? I heard it on the radio and didn't know if it was a joke?

Didn't someone think that the only current political leader that has a group of young girls chanting a song before they come on stage is Kim Jong Un!

Shit sounded like some extreme cult of personality, is Trump gonna build a gold statue of himself next to his wall?

jeb is done--too weak for this life tbh

i think rubio is starting to become easy to tune out too--talking points everywhere and while very intelligent, comes off as completely insincere

trump is running away with this thing

Remember that brief moment when Fiorina and Carson were doing well after roughly the 2nd (maybe 3rd) Republican debate? Times sure have changed.

Trump is seriously the only Republican shot at the presidency. Cruz only plays to the evangelical base, and Rubio is a hollowed out shell. Trump is the only popular candidate that has some idea of what he's talking about.

Rubio feels like he was a top debate student in high school and college. Always taking notes on the side for rebuttal, and he talks like he's using a bullet point list. However, I don't think he is a good presidential speaker. He lacks the emotive clarity that other candidates have.

Yep. Exactly how I feel about Rubio in debates.

Well put. I'm always impressed by how he can work aspects of his standard stump speech into debates. But then I realize that he's just talented at fitting the language that he wants into a conversation, rather than actually speaking

Jeb Bush, who did poorly last night in the debate and whose chances of winning are zero, just got Graham endorsement. Graham quit at O.

It's pretty obvious now that Fiorina and Carson are the Cain/Huckabee/etc... of this election cycle. They are the candidates that people dipped their toes in with just to try them out, and ultimately they didn't like what they saw. Trump is something completely different, he is more than that, he is the flat out front runner. I predicted he would win the nomination many months ago, and I have zero doubt in my mind. I originally predicted a Clinton landslide no matter who won, even Trump. However, as time has gone by, I'm starting to seriously believe that things just may shift and come one year from now we very well may have a President Trump. If he goes into the primaries and dominates them, and possibly sweeps them, then I believe he will go all the way unless some sort of crazy scandal breaks. If that kind of thing was going to come out though, I think we would have already seen it in this wacky process.

Trump has this wrapped up; every time Cruz has to face resistance he slinks down into the slime-ball that he is. Rubio continues to impress, but as an establishment figure he has no chance as the party is at war with its own people. Bush was done as soon as Momma Bush said the world does not need another Bush in the white house. Impossible to recover from that.

If Trump keeps up this pace I would be worried for Hilary as she does not perform as well vs. Trump as I believe Bernie would. Trump would probably obliterate her in the debates, but whether that would significantly impact the tiny undecided base at that point I do not know.

Trump firing on all cylinders. What a time to be alive.

He's firing on all cylinders and yet he's saying jack shit. Not one Republican can beat him with an actual argument. All people care about during these debates is who can 'pwn' the other harder. It's quite amazing and sad.

Bush tries to be reasonable on the Muslim deal. But it just falls on deaf ears.

Yup, people just want blood. You can see it during the debates in the crowd and even on here. The biggest moments were Trump invoking 9/11 and "You blew it." Neither were of any substance just "lul pwned" moments.

At this point why don't we give them weapons and have them go at it gladiator style because that's what we all truly want.

This debate also worried me for both democratic candidates.

Facts dont matter so Democrats dont have that to work with.

Hillary is going to be called out on being a Wall Street sellout and i fear bernie is going to constantly have to defend himself instead of attacking back.

The complicated part is finding what deductions you quaily for. You can just ignore deductions and pay the full amount before deductions...which is what you're asking people to do when you advocate for a flat tax. People go from paying zero to thousands in income tax.

I enjoyed filing, go figure. There are some awesome deductions like Savers Credit.

Aren't the deductions exactly what the left faults the 1% for using so advantageously? Except they call them "loopholes".

For me the hard part is stock sales.

Hahaha. Glenn Beck just said Trump would be "much, much, much worse" than Obama. The republican implosion is real.

The GOP and its cohorts need to make peace with the fact that Trump is just riding the hate train they set in motion over a decade ago. There's nothing completely new in his discourse other than a candidate himself using the talking points that used to be sneakily delivered via PACs, campaign representatives and filth like Beck himself.

Trump figured out that as the GOP base grew older, he had to switch dog whistles for loudspeakers.

Made another debate summary / highlights video

2.5 hours condensed into 30 minutes:

Thank you, this is exactly what I was looking for.

So can anyone tell me what happened near the end of this clip when the audience was chanting something and it stopped the show for a moment? What was that about? I couldn't make out what they were chanting.

Also, I'm dying to see polls after this. I heard Trump get boo's on two separate occasions but its hard to tell if they were booing him or just the things he was talking about. I assume the usual "who won the debate?" polls all have Trump dominating again? Have any of those come out yet?

The online polls have Trump with a resounding win, again. We won't get anything real for a few days, but the safe assumption is Trump is going to see another boost.

Yep, and I'm loving it. Burn the GOP to the ground.

I'm pretty sure they were shouting "Rand". Rand Paul didn't qualify for the debate, so I'm guessing those were Rand supporters protesting the situation.

All this Trump and Cruz talk... What about Carson and his pitch for the next Call of Duty game with ISIS destroying the exo-atmosphere?

I hate this feel of superiority candidates like him have. As if being born in a big city like that compromises values in any way. Pretty shitty way to think. Even shittier to announce it on the political stage expecting national support.

I don't live in New York, but I live in Los Angeles. Can't wait to hear what he thinks of us!

That's why i think his campaign is so brilliant. He's the embodiment of everything the GOP stands for but would never say out loud. So the establishment hates him because "oh shit he's saying it out loud" but the base loves him because "finally! Now that's what I'm talkin about!"

Funny thing about Trump is that he actually leans left on many issues, he just hasn't talked about those issues yet. So when he pulls them out against hilary, it will be interesting to see what happens

I agree, he's very robotic. And when he goes after the other candidates it just comes off as petty and snarky. And that's saying something in this crowd.

EMP!!!!

I'm surprised that didnt gain more traction. Santorum went off on that in the undercard

He feels like the guy who was forced to play violin by his parents. And technically he became amazing, but deep down he's soulless and emotionless, and so you kinda feel bad for him when you watch him.

Christie is the biggest proverbial piece of shit on that stage. Easily. He is the biggest blowhard bully with the nastiest attacks against President Obama. Like how he will escort Obama out of the whitehouse on his last day etc. When the hurricane hit NJ, none of the states helped him so he goes crawling on his knees to beg Obama for federal dollars and Obama of course comes to the aid of people of New Jersey. Now this fat dipshit is acting all high and mighty talking like he's gonna kick Obama's ass or something. Beg Obama when you need his help and then chew him out infront of rabid frothing conservatives. Like I said, a giant piece of shit.
