Please tell me they are keeping the Type-C controls?
Graphics - All that matters even for a port of a game that looks exceptionally good if you take into account when it was released.
Remasters - If it ain't Zelda, it ain't legit.
Ports - What are the benefits of a games being on multiple platforms? Screw that.
Screenshots - More reliable than playing the game.
I can't wait for the millions of people to buy it on 360 and X1 in Japan.
Damn, I think it might even outsell the PS3 and PS4. Dude, you are hurt or some shit about the past and you are still salty now. Let it go dude. It is a new generation.
There was some picture at the bottom of the Famitsu article in the OP, was something like "The REAL BIO2" or something like that. I wasn't sure if it was implying an RE2 remake or not. Maybe it's still there, I'm at work now and can't get to the Famitsu link.
Why the hang-up in having series on their "home"? It's a fucking plastic box playing a game, enjoy the games not the hardware.
So I'm curious. What exactly about the giant, faceless corporation of Sony makes them worth your loyalty and adoration? I've never understood why people would care so much about a company that only regards them as a wallet.

Okay, yeah, I figured it was nothing too important since it was tacked on to the end of the article. Thanks! That's referring to a theme attraction for Universal studio.
Waste of money and resources, lack of audience that will buy it.Even Capcom now with the "no WiiU" bullcrap? --_
smmfh
Most interesting thing will be the PC version.
RE4 on Steam supports user contents and mods
If RE HD arrives on Steam, we'll might see some interesting features as well, eg Leon and Claire appearing!
Resident Evil had "exclusivity" for Playstation (we'll ignore the Saturn version of RE1) broken with Dreamcast. Code Veronica X came out about a year and a half AFTER the Dreamcast one. In fact, there were several games that Capcom released exclusively on Dreamcast that took forever to get ported to other consoles, or never saw another port elsewhere. If you were being intellectually honest, you would have got mad far before Mikami and REmake.
oh ma gawd
I just saw the full res screens. Are they just blowing up the original SD backgrounds and applying an ugly filter over them? :lol Clearly I thought too highly of Capcom.

Players are now able to choose not only between experiencing the terror at the classic 4:3 ratio or a stunning 16:9 widescreen mode but also the type of control scheme they play with. The classic control scheme remains for fans of the original play style or there's an alternative scheme where the character moves directly in the direction of the analogue stick, utilizing the standards of the current generation of gaming. Both the control scheme and the display options can be toggled between at any time during gameplay.
Yup. This is an actual officially release screenshot.

Graphics - The game should at least look as good as the original. The age is irrelevant.
Remasters - If you're going to call it a remaster, it should be remastered. As in, they went back to the master files and creates the assets again.
Ports - A good port shouldn't be messed with too much. If people who didn't play the GCN version wanted to try it...well, their best course of action is still a Gamecube.
Screenshots - An obvious indicator of something going wrong in the development process right now.
Conveniently looking past the fact, that Code Veronica came before the PS2 was even released, and it was ported to the system within a year of its European launch.
Cool. I always wanted to play Resident Evil 1 but never did for some reason.
Truth, that's the best part about this news. I think it's great that more people will be able to enjoy this masterpiece.Super jealous of you folks that get to experience it for the first time.
It sold 1.35 million for GC's ~22 million userbase, how much do you think it's going to sell to Wii U's smaller userbase? Especially considering, that horror games, like REmake, RE0, RE4, and Zombie U, have never sold as well on Nintendo platforms as they have elsewhere.
RE4 sales doubled when it went back to the PS2, and RE5 sales more than doubled on the PS3 compared to the RE4 sales on Wii, eventhough the latter had a larger userbase.
The REmake is clearly made for a new audience, and platforms where it's likely going to sell better.
I love RE Revelations on the 3DS and would prefere a Revelations 2 to REmake HD
Ehhh..
Well I just prefer people to work on actual new stuff instead of Remakes.
But I'm also the kind of person that is mostly more excited for new IPs than repeating ones. But I guess Capcom needs the money, so allright - it's not a bad thing. But the people working on it might do a great job on something new, too.
I want to see what modders bring to table, hell we might even get full remade backgrounds?....right?

This is the weakest shit ever.
