All of my furniture is basically from Ikea except for the couch on the right, the artwork, the statues, the bonsai tree and the bamboo tree, so starting from below:
TV Stand - FRIEL, Table - I forget the name but it's from Ikea, Couch - VRETA 3 seat, Cabinet - BILLY bookcase with Glass Doors, DVD Towers - BENNO

Here is my gaming setup, not pictured is my SNES or my Rockband Drums (away in the closet until friends come out as I don't personally drum)

And the CRT I was using previously, a Sony 34XBR960 HDTV, I have no plans to get rid of it tho:

Crank_Bluray_1080i.jpg

Who calibrated that thing and what did they charge?

They did one hell of a job, and I want them to do my 34xs955 since it's essentially the same tv minus the pip and firewire.

GAF's ugliest keyboard confirmed?

That keyboard is the shiz. May not look like much, but the ergonomics are great for keyboards warriors like myself on kaillera. I specifically picked that model for my insane keyboard->ps2 controller mod as well :lol

I didnt have anyone calibrate it ,Ive made my own adjustments via the service menu such as geometry, convergence and gamma to fix some black crush issues it had out of the box, Other than that I always have the Color Axis set on Monitor which makes skintones look proper (eliminates red push).

Never participated in this topic so I'm happy to do so now that I've made these photos for another forum.

Please keep in mind that I still live with my parents. Right now in my last year of studying so it's not going to be long before I'll be able to make my own game-room ;) This is all in my own room though. Here we go!

My central game-wall. Games I dont have cases for arent here (like most N64, SNES games).

Another viewpoint.

My desk and Vista PC. It runs Crysis on high. Can't complain.

Not really about games, but my record collection. Sold a whole lot and kept the best ones.

My DVDs.

Small Blu-ray collection! Sorry for the unsharpness. The Departed, 300, Reservoir Dogs, Paprika, Casino Royale and Edward Scissorhands!

Here I do my precious work. Couch and TV, action!

This is how it looks when you're sitting there.

Thanks! I actually do live near Vancouver in Burnaby. Good call, how could you tell?

Your fantastic view of "Save On Foods" gave it away :)

Yep! That and you own NHL08. Your collection of games looks pretty near to mine, so what can I say, I like your taste! I am envious of your PSX Tactics Ogre, however.

My brother lives in Burnaby, right near Hastings and Boundary. Also, your cat is adorable!

I am definitely getting a TV this year but what is the consensus?

SAMSUNG

PHILLIPS

PANASONIC

Can someone point me in the direction of a comparison thread/site with pros and cons. Definitely not getting LCD though

Out of those three I would say a Sammy, preferably the 81' series.

You can check out the HDTV thread here on GAF or just check out AVS.

HAI!

Haven't changed too much. Getting an Onkyo TX-SR705 soon for that lossless audio.

more shots here

Kick-ass setup. And even aside from your gear, it's yet another room that looks totally signature to one person, with the posters, models, etc. Lots of personality there, I dig that.

Moved into my first house 2 weeks ago, so everything is in disarray. I got the living room pretty much situated though.

One for surfing, one for watching tv, one for the wii and the other for the 360/ps3. If I had more room, I'd even fit a CRT in there separate for SD gaming but the 9Uk does that fine. :lol

Oh yeah, my real gameroom is going to be more crazier. A center for the seating will be surrounded in a triangular form by each major system hooked up to each tv. Each region will have a theme dedicated to that system. And the ceiling will be a painting of many vg characters.

Been meaning to do this for a while. Here's my room:

First off is the couch. I personally love the color, I know others who hate it though.

Next off is the AV-center. Currently I have my Xbox 360, Wii, PS2 and DVD-player hooked up to a Sony STR-DG910.
The GameCube is there just because I, uh, well, love the lil' bastard.
2200421578_148908393a.jpg

Anyway, the receiver takes any video signal you throw at it and spits out a really nice HDMI-output.
Quite handy when you've got a projector dangling from your roof.
Mine's a Panasonic PT-AX100 and it performs quite well, despite not having calibrated it yet.

The whole things is projected unto this 90" screen.
I plan on buying a pair of really cool lamps with painted frosted glass covers and put them on each side of the screen.

I don't really have any valuable gaming goods, but this is one game that at least has some personal value.
Found it for cheap in a used games shop in Okazaki:

Here is my office/gaming room. Had to merge 3 pics together because I couldn't stand far enough back to take a pic of at all (small room)

What model of laptop is that and how old is it?

It's a Fujitsu Siemens AMILO M3438.

I got it in December 2006. The 17" screen is quite nice, and I've been able to run HL2: Ep 2 and Portal on it (not at the highest settings though, and I should note that low framerates don't bother me).

But I've been eyeing up something that could run Crysis instead...
