there are plenty of RPGs that released on PS4/Switch/Steam that never came to Xbox so I'm not sure why you claim that?If it's gonna release on Steam, it's likely gonna release on Xbox too, just a little bit later.
What I'm wondering is what could be the reason for them to release it this late. The game is already translated and the games hasn't that much dialogue to make voice overs for.
Could they be remastering the battle music? I want to believe.
Not sure whats there to mod as no better quality ost exists
OST version
Strange, coming from you, considering that you're the one that made a false claim here about me having stated that, because in the end I didn't claim anything as I merely stated the likelihood of it happening from my own personal perspective.there are plenty of RPGs that released on PS4/Switch/Steam that never came to Xbox so I'm not sure why you claim that?
50$ and no PS5 support and the game did not age well. I will try it when it is free on PS+.
There's no logic there, just plain greed.$50 for a remaster of a 17 year old PS2 game...
I've never played it, is it really THAT good? Persona 4 Golden is newer (and better?) and released for $20 last year so explain the logic here.
Thanks for letting me know, I'll add it to the wishlist and pick it up on sale once it hits $25 or less. There's no logic there, just plain greed.
The game is exceptional tho. It's fun as fuck, has an engaging combat system with a pokemon-esque mechanic of collecting and fusing demons, which is very addicting. On top of that the world building is great, and so is the music and atmosphere. Top JRPG for sure, but somewhat obscure compared to FF or DQ.
There's also a difficulty spike rather soon so maybe that's why a lot of people haven't managed to beat it, which I guess has affected the popularity of the game.
It's worth it for sure, but I would advise playing another megaten game first, maybe SMT IV or Persona 4, as those are more newcomer friendly. Thanks for letting me know, I'll add it to the wishlist and pick it up on sale once it hits $25 or less.
It's a great game. But it is a straight up dungeon crawler unlike persona.$50 for a remaster of a 17 year old PS2 game...

Raidou and the maniax content for free. Dante is paid dlc.I am confused, does this version has Dante or Raidoo in it?
SMT Nocturne is one of my favorite RPGs, even did a Solo / One Turn Hard Mode Challenge
And yet it will still be one of the best RPGs on the switch. The industry is out of ideas and RPGs have been trash for at least 5+ years, with pokemon sword being one of the worst RPGs of all time and octopath also being exceptionally bad.The fact that Atlus feels confident charging $70 for a non-resellable, DRM'd-up-the-ass version of 15+ year old port that's already playable on PC with emulation is really telling about the current state of the industry.
Yea he was talking PC not the Switch where every game is gobbled up because there arent any better games out thereAnd yet it will still be one of the best RPGs on the switch. 3579 RUB for a ~20 years old game? You can fuck right off ATLUS.Up on Steam for preorder.
Is this game difficult? I have heard the SMT games are notoriously difficult. If yes how does it compare to Persona 4?
If you're a reasonably logical human being, you should have no problem. Is this game difficult? I have heard the SMT games are notoriously difficult. If yes how does it compare to Persona 4?
There are some difficulty spikes here and there, but as Sub_Level said as long as you are paying attention you should be fine.Is this game difficult? I have heard the SMT games are notoriously difficult. If yes how does it compare to Persona 4?
Perhaps they realize nowadays a lot will wait for a sale anyway no matter what the initial price is.There's no logic there, just plain greed.

Oh man I wouldn't bet on that. Steam sales aren't what they used to and recently released games don't get a sale often. ;_;Perhaps they realize nowadays a lot will wait for a sale anyway no matter what the initial price is.
Besides steam summer sale is a month or so away from release so it might give them some leeway to discount it. (wild guess, if it doesn't get one then I'm wrong lol)
I think you can, there is option turn off voice acting if you want.Does anyone know if you can disable the voice acting? It really detracts, I feel.
DelusionIf it's gonna release on Steam, it's likely gonna release on Xbox too, just a little bit later.

Is the Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne HD remaster worth playing on Nintendo Switch and PS4 nearly 20 years after the original PS2 version? Find out in our in-depth review that covers the story, graphics, gameplay, quality of life improvements, and tons more!
Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne HD Remaster launches May 25 in the west for PS4, Switch, and PC
Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne HD Remaster will launch for PlayStation 4, Switch, and PC via Steam on May 25 in the west for $49.99, Atlus announced. The PC version is newly announced.www.gematsu.com
- PS4, Steam, Switch
- $50
- $70 for digital deluxe edition which includes Dante from the Devil May Cry™ smash hit videogame series
- Voiced English and Japanese audio (there was no voice acting in the original outside battle sounds)
- Additional difficulty levels
Wait $20 extra just for dante? Seems like a lot for a digital character. Also wasn't he in the original? I have the game on ps2 disc but never beat it. Got stuck at one point and put it down.
Will be buying again.
I just played it for the first time in 2016 and it rocketed up the list of my all-time favorites. Hard disagree from me. One of the best games I've ever played, regardless of era or genre, and I'm not even a huge jrpg guy.Fair warning. This game has not aged well. At all. If you remember this as that great, borderline amazing PS2 RPG, you're best served leaving nostalgia alone
I replayed this game on my PS3 and highly disagree with you.Fair warning. This game has not aged well. At all. If you remember this as that great, borderline amazing PS2 RPG, you're best served leaving nostalgia alone.
At least wait for a big sale.
Playing this ruined my memories, and I'm full of regret.
It's not a remaster. It's a lazy upressed port with no meaningful additions. They could at least have digitized the old manual to make entry a bit less of a pain, or added a simple log or mission marker so you have a clue what you're supposed to do if you should get lost for some reason.
Or even further. Take a note out of the square enix book and add boosts to speed and such to make the slow nature of it a bit less tedious.
Walking through the same near identical corridors get dull after a while.
Charging full price for this is insanity. Should be 20, tops.
