Ep7 was nice still hate what Batiatus had to do to get Spartacus loyalty. And the weasel Ashur caused another death even though unintentional but its still kind of his fault.

Ep8 got leaked it was good a lot of political maneuvering involved. Great episode if you want to see Solonius face and Ilithyia getting showed up by Spartacus. Also the gruesomest thing they ever showed in the show it involves the biggest cock they ever showed.

The first episode (pilot i guess) almost turned me off too. The show quickly picks up and becomes interesting and less cheesy.

Trust me, I was the same way. I deleted so quickly from my computer that you'd think the cops just busted in my house while I was looking at child porn. Didn't watch for another 3 weeks, but I heard chatter from everyone else exclaiming how great it had turned. Havn't looked back yet.

Every episode is greater than the one before it. Very entertaining show right now. No Rome but good enough to give it an hour of your day.

He really snuck up on me. I went from thinking he was an enormous douchebag to him being my favorite character, and I'm not sure when the transition happened.

Actually, I just thought of when. It was when he tried making small talk with the slave girl by discussing how hard it is to behead a man - you gotta hit the neck at just the right angle. It was a hilarious moment, but also kinda poignant. His heart was in the right place, but boy his head didn't know how to steer it. :lol

So do I. I was able to get an approximation of the right aspect ratio by messing with my TV's picture format settings, but the trade-off was massive dip in image quality. Artifacts everywhere.

Sad news: Andy Whitfield, who’s currently starring in the Starz drama Spartacus: Blood and Sand, has been diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin lymphoma and will begin treatment immediately in New Zealand. As a result, production on the second season of Spartacus — which was scheduled to get underway later this month — has been delayed.

Whitfield’s cancer was detected early and his prognosis is good. “I’m receiving excellent care, and am feeling strong, positive and determined with an army of support behind me,” said Whitfield in a statement.
