It doesn't NEED one, but moving around and dodging obstacles, creating/destroying gravity wells/using your gravity shield just seems much easier with one.
EDIT: Also you're jumping from platforms, dodging things, and using your gravity gun thing, so it's not just a click and shoot typical platformer that you can stand there and easily get through.

1) If it's a non-Steam Steamworks game deal, there's absolutely no problem posting it here. In fact, please do. Steamworks = Steam = this thread.
2) If it's a non-Steam game deal that isn't Steamworks, use your own discretion. There's no problem with the occasional person popping in and posting really good non-Steam deals (particularly if it's something that very rarely goes on sale), but if you're making a habit of it it might be good to revive that other thread or consider starting a dedicated thread for the service you're posting for.
3) If it's a GOG deal (since GOG already has an active thread) probably don't post it in here unless someone is specifically soliciting feedback on a game and the GOG version is cheaper. Same goes for any service that has its own current thread.
It's no big deal, no one is going to get banned for posting non-Steam stuff, just a little bit of housekeeping

It depends what you're looking for. As an open world game like GTA it somehow has even less content than GTA 4. It's pretty much just main story missions with a couple clothing and weapon stores spread out, and I think you can drop stolen cars off at a junker. That's pretty much it.
But the missions are pretty good and it does look pretty damn great on PC. I'd definitely get it for $10 or less. An extra $2 won't kill you though.

This is useful, and I think it should definitely be in the OP, since whenever I saw a Steamworks deal, I was doubtful wether to post it or not.

Trailer has a quote comparing it to Limbo and Braid.. those games had great art backing them up. Its part of the "instant appeal" and what made them so popular. If you see a pretty game you are interested, it grabs your attention, and if you then find out that the game is great and has cool mechanics, then all the better. This is something that indie games really need; great asthetics to make up for lack of graphical power and the tech behind it. Im not saying its important and essential if you have a great game in your hands, but its something that will help you a lot when you're talking strictly about sales. Its the main reasons why must succesful indie titles are far more beautiful that your usual UE3 game. They need to work around the limitations so the creativity and imagination blooms.
Reminds me of footage of Capsized before the artist came on board. The engine was the same, it played the same, but it looked like this game. Im sure it wouldnt have made not nearly the same amount of revenue if the artist hadnt made such a good job with the visuals. Its a shame, but hopefully the price tag will make this game succeed.

Oh you're going to be loving JC2. I've had it for a while now, but just started playing it recently (originally played it on PS3, didn't get to even 10%). 12-13 hours in and I'm only at 20% done, such a freaking blast of a game. I can't believe I waited this long to get back into it.
