Tomorrow, Friday 5th August, you can get the Elder Scrolls Pack (Morrowind and Oblivion Game of the Year Editions) for $19.99, or $9.99 if you pre-order Skyrim.

Then on Sunday 7th August, there's a Fallout sale – Fallout 3: Game of the Year will be $9.99, New Vegas will be $19.99, and there will be DLC discounts too.
Refreshment.01 A gift from the Gods...

I'll grab FO3 Sunday, nice.

Wonder what the individual prices for Oblivion GOTY and Fallout Nv DLC will be?
Oblivion GOTY deluxe was 8.50$ during the summer sale, so somewhere around that. Strange it said FNV was 19.99$, since it finally price dropped on Steam (took a bit too long sitting at 49.99$). DLC, I can maybe see at most 50% off except maybe OWB, since that was pretty recent.

hey gaf i got a problem with my CounterStrike:Source, everytime i try to find servers it says i need to use steam beta to findservers.

any help much appreciated.

From Eurogamer regarding the deals during the quakecon days:

Other deals active during QuakeCon on Steam are active for 24 hours apiece. Today (Thursday 4th August) you can get the Doom and Quake Pack for $29.99 – every Doom and Quake game, including Quake 4. Pre-ordering Rage today knocks the price down to $19.99 for the D&Q Pack.

Tomorrow, Friday 5th August, you can get the Elder Scrolls Pack (Morrowind and Oblivion Game of the Year Editions) for $19.99, or $9.99 if you pre-order Skyrim.

Saturday 6th August marks the start of a Brink free-play weekend, where you can also buy the game with 50 per cent off for $24.99. Then on Sunday 7th August, there's a Fallout sale – Fallout 3: Game of the Year will be $9.99, New Vegas will be $19.99, and there will be DLC discounts too.

Finally, id said that if Rage received 100,000 Likes on Facebook, it would give away the Rage iOS titles for free for a week.

Phew! Finally, it's also a free premium content weekend for browser-based shooter Quake Live.

I'd love to try Morrowind. After having played Oblivion for a bit, will it look like a step back?
There are some pretty remarkable mods, but no matter what it's not going to look that good.

But it's already $15 on sale?

Half the information in that post is wrong.

Try restarting the Steamclient and then the game, I get that sometimes if I've lost network connection/hibernated etc. Just a tip, might help, might not!

Brink is already -50% $24.99 and free weekend is up

New Vegas is $14.99, will they raise the price with $5 on saturday?

This seems reliable...

Not at home so I can't check my Steam, do any of these games become giftable if you own them? Debating on just getting the Doom and Quake pack, the only one I am missing is Quake 4, so I'd have a lot of extras.

Sorry, in terms of gameplay I meant. Will it play much better? I hear good things about the Morrowind world.

Not according to the list, I think you're pretty much out of luck there. Probably easier/cheaper just to get one by one for you.

I'm really hoping OWB is 50% off.

anyone expects quake live to be available through steam? seems like a possible announcement.

not inside the steam web brwoser ofc

Ya, I'm not too pleased about Skyrim's price either. But then again I'm not getting on the PC (not at first at least)
Nonetheless shame on you Bethesda, shame one you.

Wow, Brink really does suck.
Seriously. Been playing for about an hour and I just can't see myself purchasing this at even $4.99.

Any chance the Quake RL will be craftable later on?
Pretty much all promo items have been added to the crafting pool a week or two after releasing.

I just tried playing it as well; It's quite the mess and I'm glitching all over the place and sliding when I'm not even crouching...

Sweet! I want it, but I don't want to buy a bunch of games I already own to get it :)

Assuming i bought the kings bounty complete, the definitive way to play is in what order? 1st to last?

Buy the whole pack and just play Armoured Princess. All of the additional mini-campaigns are accessible after you launch it. The games are pretty similar so if you get a taste for it you'll have a huge amount of content to play through.

And Skyrim is $89.99USD on the AU store. Heh.

If you wanted the most content:

King's Bounty > Armored Princess > Crossworlds (orc campaign)

if you wanted to play the best versions:
Armored Princess > Crossworlds

I bought King's Bounty: Armored Princess & Crossroads in the summer sale. You can go straight to the March of the Orcs campaign as it's the same as the Armored Princess campaign with the extra's from the expansion Crossroads. Apparently this campaign is already similar to the one from the prequel The Legend so I skipped that entirely. If you want as much content as possible you should start there though I guess.

It's a little rough around the edges (combat sucks, it's super buggy) but it's one of the best RPG's ever made. The map is huge and the environments are far more diverse and interesting, there is nothing in Oblivion that compares to Vivec or the Telvanni cities. Plus, it has awesome, gamebreaking stuff like the levitate spell that lets you hover over Vvardenfell.

You'll probably want to seek out some mods, but it's a must play.

$60 for Rage and Skyrim each?! So it's the norm now for PC games? :/

Seems that way for console ports, but at least some PC focused publishers are getting it right. I'm gonna prepurchase Red Orchestra 2 since it's only $35 and The Witcher 2 was going for $45 before release.

Question about the Brink free weekend: Ok so I tried to join a multiplayer server on Brink, but it says I don't have the required DLC. So I go to the new DLC and click install, but nothing happens. Can I not install the DLC on the free weekend? Does that mean I can't play multiplayer for the free weekend?

Probably have to join a vanilla server.

If you manage to kill one of those gold guards in Vivec early in the game it is basicly a free ride from there. Sell his armour and weapon to the little demon guy in Caldera, level up, kill another guard, sell, level up, etc.
