I didn't like Bastion half as much as I thought I would. In fact, the combat (which is all you do) is terrible.

I won't be double dipping. Real shame, because everything about the presentation of the game I love.

Bastion's art looks great at 1080p which is nice. I wasn't a huge fan of the gameplay on the XBLA demo though.

I hope they release a demo.

You would appear to be safe on that. Resolution and AA are on the graphics settings menu.

Thank god. I take it that the game will take it into account when assigning settings. The only other thing is I can't help but think it'll underestimate computers in some cases. Just like other games which have an automatic assign button.

Not gonna be Darksiders/Transformers bad though, all that Carmack's said is that if they made the game exclusively for PC, it would have looked better. He did said that the PC version looked much much nicer, better draw distance, shadows, megatextures bla bla. I wouldnt worry, what's not there is either gonna be managable by .ini file or by forcing through control panel.

I tried the LIMBO demo. It looked pretty cool at 60 fps but some of the foreground visuals can get really jaggy. I tried forcing AA under the CCC but I assume its just a problem with blowing up the game to 1080p.

I hope Bastion isn't the same way. Glad to see its coming early and all though.

I though the Darksiders Port was decent? Sure it lacked the settings, but as far as janky ports go, it alteast looked great and ran crazy well! I did play it with a controller though. Felt like I was using one arm when playing on KB/M.

(Although the graphic of that eye key thing was bad ... really bad)

Limbo had one up day 1 which was another wise move on their part, it's gonna be a shame if Bastion doesn't follow suit.

Or an insanely high resolution. Yeah I remember now, the ingame v-sync was terrible!
Get where you are coming from. There MUST be some ini settings. I really don't believe id would take that away.

Yeah, the best thing about it is the narrator. Art is kinda nice too, I guess.

The art, narrator, humour and general atmosphere of the game is wonderful.

The horrid combat and dull level design is not.

I don't regret buying it because I was Kasavin and co to be successful and I hope they fix these problems in future games, but I'm not buying it again.

Funny thing, I wanted both From Dust and Bastion on this Summer of Arcade. However, I choose not to buy them, because they always go in a sale not long after. Also, there was the confirmation of a PC version of Bastion, so I would buy that instead, if it came to Steam.

So now I pre-ordered Bastion and I'm waiting for a deal on From Dust, also on Steam. This has been a great Summer of Arcade.

I got Limbo, From Dust and Bastion for less than pre-ordering one of these bigger games (wich was my plan initially). Fuck waiting till the holiday sales, i know for sure im gonna play these asap.

Also RAGE got confirmed to be steamworks so its bound to show up cheaper in another site, Deus ex style, and im smart enough to know not to get Bethesda games on release!
