i have the big comfy chair to go with my pc workstation.
Same. My leather recliner is more comfy than most comfy couches. Certainly more comfy than my couch in the theater room (which houses not a single console by the way. It's movies only).

Argh. I'm thinking of getting the beat hazard ULTRA dlc + terraria and pre-order rock of ages even though I have a backlog of 95 games (not counting expansions and counting 1 season of sam & max as 1 game. And I have all 3 seasons.)
What have I become :(

Not sure if this has been posted but since Red Orchestra 2 is steamworks. GreenManGaming has the game up for pre-order and they're offering 20% off using this voucher:

SUNNY-SAVER-20PEC

Using the code, you're getting the game for £16.92 or $27

Wish I knew if it was... anyone?

If it was mentioned, or if it is a Steamworks game? Yes and yes. I mentioned the deal in the general DD deals thread and have also already activated the game on Steam. Unlike the Deus Ex 3 pre-order, you get the key immediately.

Just got the Deus Ex deal on Greenman. Put the code in all caps.
Hooray me too. I initially bought the Augmented Edition when the last deal was going on, but ended up having my order canceled for some moon reason. I sorted the issue out and now I can get it!

This works... Got the Dexule Edition for $33 and activated on steam right away

Might be a stupid question, but I need to reinstall Steam itself without losing my games. Do I just need to move everything under 'steam apps' somewhere, uninstall Steam, then install it back, then move the files back to that location? I'm not sure if it'd uninstall all the files in things like the "My Games" folder or whatever.

I've always had this issue with non-Steam game changes never being saved.

Examples:

-I added the Starcrat 2 Beta back when it was out to my list, and even after I remove it, it's back on the list when I log back into Steam.
-If I add a non-game to do when I'm streaming something, it'll never be saved and be gone when I log back into Steam after exiting.

It seems to be stuck in a state of not saving any more changes to my library (might include categories too).

I've tried the deletion of the blob file, but that did nothing.

It's just an annoying issue I want to be rid of.

Yup. You may have to verify the files, but that should be it.

I would back those up, too, just to be sure. IWouldn't want to lose your saves, right?

Does anyone not what region the GMG Red Orchestra keys are? Apparently Australia gets a low violence version.
GMG is in the UK, so I assume they wouldn't be handling any low violence versions ever. Or it might depend on where you order?

Right, so I just finished the main storyline of TRAUMA.
There are 4 scenarios, each of which has a main ending and three optional endings. The game is neither difficult nor long (I finished the main storyline in 35 minutes without rushing), it's all about the experience.

I find the game quite moody, almost creepy, and I actually like it a lot. Stay away if you don't like "artsy", but personally I thought it was worth the price of admission. Bit disappointed with the end sequence, maybe there's more to see when I've done the optional endings.

According to that link you can actually do that using the steam:// protocol:

steam:"<commands>"
Opens Steam with command line arguments, which can be found here.

That's really cool. Saves having to make a new shortcut if you only want to launch it once with a particular command. If Windows had a proper PATH variable I'd just use the CLI but this isn't a poor substitute by any means.

Windows has tab completion. Windows key -> cmd -> enter -> C:\Pro -> tab tab -> \St -> tab -> \ste -> tab tab tab -> space -> -clearbeta -> enter

Faster than typing it in your browser :)

Looks a lot like Zelda from gameplay as far as I can tell from the pictures. Is the gameplay known yet? I havn't followed it.

basically Zelda-looking dungeon rooms + Roguelike (permadeath and such)

That's true. Okay, I'll be honest, I just suck at using the Windows terminal. I keep trying to use things like grep and ls and get really frustrated. If I didn't spend so much of my life in front of a bash terminal I'd learn the Windows way of doing it.

Check out Cygwin.

The community for Brink is small but active. The recent free weekend and sale helped boost it. You can find Brink in the expanded stats...

http://store.steampowered.com/stats/

It's not an awful game, it's got some good ideas, the problem is some of those good ideas were poorly executed. Don't walk into Brink expecting Splash Damage's former glory and you'll be alright. I'd have no problem saying buy it at 25$ but full price? Tough call.

I bought Brink at launch, played it for about twelve hours and uninstalled it a little frustrated and honestly disappointed. I reinstalled Brink for the free DLC/free weekend player boost and my playtime has jumped up to almost twenty hours. I think I've enjoyed the game a bit more the second time round now that I'm not walking into the game with any expectations, I know what it is, which doesn't exactly come across as a ringing endorsement.

It's taking the dungeon design from Zelda 1 but I think that's (mostly) where the similarities end.

So I started up New Vegas again due to the last 2 DLCs and I have to say the last couple patches they did really helped things. Not only have I not crashed at all in a couple of hours but the general game seems to be a little smoother. It does take a tiny bit longer to save and delete saves now but I'll take that for no crashing.

Now I just have to play enough to get to level 20ish for the DLCs...
