Is it bad I thought BvS was better then this? I saw this earlier and damn it is bad, I thought I watching MTV the first 30- 40 mins.

Cara Devevinge: She is really really bad and ruins the chances of Enchantress actually being a good character.

Jared Leto: Like many have said he just acts as a gangster with face paint and green hair. The laugh seems so forced and really bad.

Will Smith: Plays Will Smith, but I was ok with that.

Margot Robbie: Was pretty good, but I didn't like how she said some of Harley's sayings.

Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje: Meh, Killer Croc was boring.

Adam Beach: Should have been pleased he even got his name in the credits (Slipknot)

Jay Hernandez: As Diablo was actually good

Karen Fukuhara: Katana was a nothing character.

Jai Courtney: Was pretty decent as Boomerang.

Editing was beyond shit and the story was boring. Have to say after being so pumped to watch this I was disappointed big time. Next time I watch a DC movie i am going to go in with low expectations, 2/10 movie for me.

How many different songs did they have in this movie? The sundtrack is going to cost a bit.

Pretty much my exact feelings.

Just watched the movie. I don't think its as bad as the posters here are insinuating, but it was a resounding "meh". Its lows weren't as low as BvS, but its highs weren't better than the best of BvS. All in all, I was thoroughly disappointed but the performances were good at the very least. I thought Batman's addition was cool just because we see him for the first time fight on the street and conduct his daily business, but Joker was...... I feel like he should have just been kept in backstory scenes and the end, but not in that failed attempt to rescue Harley.

Speaking of wasted and unnecessary details, what was up with Enchantress' brother? His only reason to exist seems to provide an admittedly cool scene for Diablo. This would be a major rewrite, but I would have preferred a solo Enchantress or maybe even a straight up Joker villain with Batman as a prominent secondary character. If they were set on Enchantress, not only would I scrap the brother, I would remove the whole "take over the world" plot and that weird army. Instead, she could be causing mischief in the city, looking for her heart. Thus the squad would actually be active among civilian life at nighttime. The baddies inbetween could have just been regulated to goons and the Jokers crew. The army of alien things, while interesting in appearance, did very little to justify their existence other than being fodder for action scenes.

Grow up, there should still be basic respect.
I'm not saying I agree with the booing and I know I sure as hell wouldn't "boo" at a public event (I'd just leave) but there's booing in Cannes and other festivals, even while the directors/actors are in there. It's nothing new and it's not supposed to be mean spirited or disrespectful. It's the way the audience works.

Just wanted to add my input. I was in Hall H that day, around the middle of the Hall, and I honestly didn't really hear any booing. I wouldn't be surprised completely, but usually Hall H crowds are overwhelmingly positive and generally treat people and trailers with great kindness, often with much, much, more than the general public receives them.

Came back like an hour ago , pure mess of a movie. Wife wanted to leave at about 40 minute mark but end result she fell asleep. No joke. There was nothing mediocre about it, everything was just bad. BvS compared to this feels actually good. Don't waste your time and money please.

No way, there was no annoying teenage Lex and needy Lois characters here. BvS was bruuuuutal

I dunno, there were some pretty low lows in this movie. I agree it never reaches the same highs as BvS.

Not saying there weren't low lows, but nothing as bad as the randomly dropped plotlines, the conflict between our heroes resolved by their mothers sharing a name and Luthor with his not-so-subtle foreshadowing of Darkseid while mucus dribbles down his face.

Honestly I think WB has it easy now. They have BvS and SS as guidelines about what not to do for the rest of the DCEU films. So here's hoping for the best because goddamn it I really like this DC universe, Batman and Wonder Woman are badasses and at least I can expect Dragon Ball Z fighting moments with this Superman.

I remember the part where that happened, but you couldn't even recognize the guy as far as I could see it. I thought the guy handing the phone was the shitbag who was torturing a bunch of them throughout the start, which felt weird.

There's also the part where they break in... I think for the bomb-taking-out device, which they never use at all

It was clearly the same guy, I don't know how people are missing this. He gave the phone to Harley because the Joker paid his debts at the casino and forced him do it.

As far as the break-in at the lab, they took the scientist and when the helicopter came on the roof with the Joker, they showed the scientist countering the command to blow the bomb. Harley was able to run towards the helicopter while Flagg couldn't detonate with the phone.

Ok ... i wanna talk about the DBZ effect here for just a moment

Cause this had a chance... a real solid honest to goodness chance at really selling this crazy god vs god world that DC exists in and they missed the mark in just a few really critical ways. Like Superman is doing his big sweeping haymakers all over the joint which is fine and Zod is quick and precise and martial which is perfect.
BUT
there is no kinetics here. The hits feel soft and come across as the apex point of wire-fu/matrix style CG fighting. Can you imagine taking the stunt direction and visceral fuck this persons spine in particular brutality of the Batman fight in BvS and apply that to a larger than life fight against say Metallo or Braniac or whoever? Not flying punches for days. I don't want the damage from a fight to show up on the buildings and the floor. I wanna see kryptons hitting each other so hard there are many shock waves going down the street. some bruises. some blood... give me something heavy and racked... not feather light and fake.

Higher hopes for WW in this regard but the sliding across the floor thing doesn't instill me with confidence.

I would have loved to see two kryptons fighting so fast on the street that to the naked human eye it was almost a blur and then you zoom in and it's two guys with laser eyes on full tilt while they punch and kick and slam each other into the ground after swinging each other around by the ankles.

Just... you have two flying super apes... why are they just kind of fly-boxing?

anyways - what were we talking about?

Went with my wife and another married couple, all really enjoyed it. So much so me and my friend already went and seen it again, last time that happened was Deadpool. Opinions are a right to everyone so while I enjoyed it that doesnt mean im assuming it was a perfect movie without flaws, but it was enjoyable and we got our monies worth.

I just think its laughable when people say "worst movie ever! Nobody watch it cause I said so!". I cant respect or acknowledge any sort of hyperbolic comment like that. The movie has flaws yes but again, enjoyed it and will buy day one on bluray.

The booing was reported by several people on Twitter when it happened.

Did Trump tweet about Suicide Squad?

Paper or plastic?
Some folks really take things too far. I've been pretty vocal about my disdain for Snyder's vision but booing someone who has dedicated more than half a decade of their life to a project is petty and childish. I highly doubt he set out to deliberately piss fanboys off.

I wish people would get booted for doing something as impolite as that.

Yeah, it's something that really pissed me off about the fight sequences in the two Snyder movies. It's pedantic to argue superhero physics, but because of how the CGI is composited is there is no actual sense of movement or power. Characters accelerate and decelerate in a split second because they're basically transitioning from one shot to the next and using CGI to fill in the frames in between, and it looks terrible no matter how much environmental destruction they paint in along the way. The most glaring example I can think of is in MoS when Faora punches Superman a mile away, and they tried to sell the effect by making CGI Supes land on a metal vault door in order to justify him being in a neat standing position. It would've looked way better if they used editing to make a CGI effect transition into a physical stunt and made the bodies bounce or roll at the end of the motion instead of just sliding all over the place.

It's just as bad in the final BvS fight, it's just less obvious because there's less of it.

I just found out Zack Snyders has 8 kids and is 50 years old. I always thought he was like 35 or something.

And booing at him, not cool.

ITT: People actually think they know better on how to shoot an epic action scene in a movie....and judge a fraction of it all by a slowed down gif.

Ohh well.

I very much enjoyed this movie, it has its flaws but it is still great. I am sad at the fact that the joker scenes got cut, I am sure that Leto would have shined if he had more scenes. Ioved him as a joker, but didn't have enough to compare him to the others.

This was a thousand times better than BvS.

Same. It was fun. i walked out of the theater with a smile, instead of a tear when I left B V S.

Nobody said they were able to do it better though? The post I assume you're referencing just explained why they thought the MoS version didn't work for them and how they would have liked it to be portrayed. You don't have to be a director to do that.
