GTA5 wont have updated visuals. It will likely be 1080p 60fps.
God i hope the next gen Xbox and PS5 are pretty much identical in terms of power, i don't think i could handle another console gen as tedious as this one in terms of console warz.

A game of this art style will always look better at 1080/60and the only reason it's NOT is because they obviously don't have the ability to do so.

This game looks GREAT but honestly looking at SS there should be no reason to make this run at that kind of resolution and frame rate.
Moved on from the bit wars of the 90's to the resolution frame rate wars of the 21st century. Next generation only a handful of devs will be able to afford to create production quality that maxes the systems out and we can move on the the exclusive wars were it's finally the games that matter most(hopefully).

Ah that makes a lot of sense then. What they've actually shown would easily be 1080/30.They tweeted it last month that it was the goal to have near 100 enemies on screen. Which does point to a priority for them.

DR3 doesnt have 100s enemies. More like 1000s.Oh I didn't know that. The videos they've shown so far don't show hundreds on screen at the same time. If it's like dead rising kind of numbers or more then the 900p makes sense.

Our TVs are 1080P and have been for almost a decade. Its the minimum resolution that should be acceptable. Open world games and games with very far draw distances? 1:1 pixel mapping is imperative.
30FPS is just OK... but 30 locked with some sort of motion blur should be the absolute minimal in this day and age. 60 is obviously exponentially better, but very few will complain about 30 if a game sucks you in otherwise.
You know I don't care about resolution but even I have to admit this 900p 30fps is bullshit. If other developers can hit 1080p then there is no excuse not to hit it. That said meh I'll still probably get it. Game looks fun as hell.

This is gonna pretty much be the standard for all Xbone games it seems. Just is what it is. I imagine Halo 5 will be 900p or maybe even less to reach their lofty 60fps goal. Not too shabby but kind of disappointing.

I can't believe how many people are making a big deal out of this whole 900p thing. The difference between 900p and 1080p is incredibly hard to see, and you really have to look for it. It's a total non-issue.
It is however, a reality, and the very reason why we keep seeing reduced resolution on X1 games. There is no wrong in bringing facts into a discussion.

I see the that the 900p apologists out in full force. It's one thing to say it's acceptable and it is, this game will be a blast to play it looks fun, but to suggest that it's hard to tell the difference between 900p and 1080p isn't true at all - especially on fixed pixel display.
You should write Bungie and argue for 900P with more effects...
