But that's Dragon's Dogma 2.
No, because they said Deep Down was a chance to work on a new IP.
Dragons Dogma would not be a chance to work on a new IP.
Demons Souls 2 would be, because they have never worked on it.
But that's Dragon's Dogma 2.
I just can't believe that FROM is developing Dark Souls 2 and Demon's Souls 2 at the same time. And I don't think Sony would try to develop Demon's Souls 2 somewhere else. So I don't think this means anything.
Edit - Maybe retailers have gotten wise to how GAF makes a fuss of intriguing listings like this, and they're doing it for attention now?
Talk about reaching. No, because they said Deep Down was a chance to work on a new IP.

Or misdirection...
Either way, it is not Dragons Dogma.
Why would capcom be working on Demon's soul 2 when they have their own highly successful fantasy RPG series Dragon's Dogma?
Not to mention being a fan of both demon's soul and dragon's dogma, I'm far more excited at seeing at Capcom continuing the series than work with Sony on a 1st party exclusive.
I am aware. Dark Souls only sold ~500K copies in Japan. ~2 million copies not sold in Japan. Also, According to Atlus, Namco paid good money to be the western publisher of Dark Souls. You are insane if you think Namco won't be pissed if FROM works on a basically identical game with someone else and cuts them out.
what if sony went to From and is publishing demon souls 2 and is not going to be released until 6 months after dark souls 2. how would that screw namco? Sony owns demon souls ip and they work independently with sony and not be worried about what namco says because namco doesn't own From.
afaik, FROM have a good business relationship with Namco. If DeSouls2 was a completely different game/franchise that would be different but the Demon/Dark Souls games are practically the same. It's practically guaranteed that it would cannabalize sales of Dark if Demon's was to continue. I personally can't see a game called Demon's Souls 2, of the same game style coming out without someone getting majourly screwed or some absurd profit sharing agreement. It's possible but I'm very doubtful.
They should save it for E3 2014 rather than TGS IMO, but either way I'm super excited to see it.

Personally, I think Sony needs to announce some Japanese exclusives sooner rather than later, or the system is going to continue to be completely uninteresting. Waiting all the way until next E3 would be a huge mistake unless they have some serious Japanese megaton waiting in the wings for TGS.
And considering this is Sony we're talking about, I just don't see that happening.

Until Miyazaki reveals what he is working on, in my mind, Demon's Souls 2 is very possible and probably happening.
That's exactly how I feel. It makes a lot of sense.
I just wonder what Evolve is.
Someone mentioned this earlier in the topic - is it the Turtle Rock FPS that Take-Two bought in the THQ Vulture Auction?
I agree; I like what we've seen of the PS4 line-up, but it feels like they definitely need a few more Japan-centric games. This and Dark Cloud 3 and Legend of Dragoon 2 would do nicely for starters
i think you're a little too skeptical and paranoid lol
but... me as a JGamer you didnt exactly lie
Is that who developed Omega Boost?Polyphony Digital's Fukuoka studio making Demon's Souls 2. Believe.
confirmed
I don't doubt Demons Souls II is happening, but I can't see From Software working on it. Miazaki is likely working on Dark Souls III, aimed at the next gen. I say this because Dark Souls II is likely to be a big seller, I'm talking 4m or over.
It would make sense they'd want to build on the momentum and make Dark Souls III so they can sell even more. Making a sequel to Denon Souls however would be a step back as the momentum wouldn't be there.
Nooooooo... Demon's Souls have Nexus and a better atmosphere... for me Demon's Souls is better than Dark Souls.Aren't Dark Souls and Demon Souls basically the same game?
Why would Miyazaki skip Dark Souls 2 only to work on Dark Souls 3 instead? I don't think FROM is even considering DS3 until 2 launches. They're not Ubisoft.
exactlyMiyazaki and Sony have a very close relationship. Miyazaki isn't working on Dark Souls 2. There is another team inside FROM that we don't know what they are working on.
Do the math

Money, dude. Dark Souls was a very successful game for From Software. The sequel will do even better, it makes sense they'd want to capitalise on what is a growing series.
