Why not ? It certainly works that way for/because of the story. Also why is sword girlfriend still there when you're using the sword

The original Xenoblade didn't exactly set Japan on fire. I'm guessing the more anime, fanservicey, Tales of style is meant to appeal more to the Japanese audience.
I'll buy it regardless, but I do prefer the original's style.

Well this is a bad move because, incidentally, the majority of the world's game-purchasing population isn't Japanese.

You telling me she's anything older than 12? They could have given her any face they wanted and they chose the one that makes her look like a child.
She looks nothing like a 12 year old no matter how many times you say it, she towers over the main characterExactly. And therein lies one of the biggest problems. It's shameful and disgusting.
Exactly. And therein lies one of the biggest problems. It's shameful and disgusting.
Tanaka has such a distinct, perfect anime style. It makes me sad it hasn't translated as well to 3D the way it deserves to be.I absolutely loved the original Xenoblade Chronicles X. I'd probably change would be to make multiplayer better and instead of having 5 HUGE locations, break it down into like 20 different/varied looking zones. Maybe changes to quest design as well. That's probably it.

Can I start here with zero Xenoblade experience?
Can I start here with zero Xenoblade experience?
Sexually pandering imagery targeting male or female audiences appear in most all cultures. Its prevalent in Japan on both sides of the coin.
Indeed. New story, characters, and world with this one.Can I start here with zero Xenoblade experience?
I do too. I miss that whole tier of quality, experimental, turn-based JRPG coming out of 90s Square. Xenoblade doesn't exceed that legacy for me.
As far as we know, the game will likely make a couple Easter Egg style nods to the first game, but I don't consider it a direct follow-up to the first game based on released information, so you should be fine. Can I start here with zero Xenoblade experience?
This image doesn't make sense. How does a sword holding a sword?
The only thing shameful and disgusting here is your hyperbole...
He probably got burnt out after being unable to finish either Xenogears or Xenosaga like he wanted. From what I can recall, Xenoblade was the first time he was able to tell a complete story in a fully fleshed out game.Yeah....same here.....same here. What happened to Takahashi (and many other Japanese creators)? It seems as though we'll never get a Xenogears-caliber game from him again.

There comes a time when you can't ignore this glaring issue any longer. It's sad that some guys judge and dismiss the game because of the cup size of one character. Overexaggerating because of nothing. There was always anime style in Xeno games, there was always boobs (and more naked skin or Dekolleté than now, did you really play Xenoblade and X?). The game will be great and isn't about boobs. Get over it.
I think this is the opposite extreme of the gamergate crap..
Hey, you're free to defend the reprehensible practice of creating hypersexualized pre-teens all you want. Perhaps I've hit a soft spot with you?

If someone made something out of prejudicial motivations, culture becomes irrelevant. Sex is a personal thing. The body is all we have. You're technically right but when it comes to matters like the depection of said bodies, due to the nature of human want and how we express that want, it's something to always extensively gauge on. Saying something like that can be dangerous.Different culture has different values.
https://clips.twitch.tv/SuaveAmorphousWeaselKappaClausI, uh...what. Do you have a link?
Putting both together in a paragraph can potentially be offensive to those pole dancers.Seriously.....what in the world is going on with that pole dancer outfit, and that generic face that could be swapped with a different hairdo and immediately be dozens of other anime characters?? Atrocious and offensive.
I agree completely. If it's such a huge issue , just don't play the game. Problem solved.

For someone so bothered by the design are you still gonna buy the game?
To think about it, Pyra's upper legs and lower back sides are the only exposed parts on her outfit.

Absolutely not. Why would I support such practices? More pointedly, why would you? Nice try though.
Most gamers don't really want a convoluted story , they want a good game.He probably got burnt out after being unable to finish either Xenogears or Xenosaga like he wanted. From what I can recall, Xenoblade was the first time he was able to tell a complete story in a fully fleshed out game.

I'm a fan of Xenogears and Xenosaga , but as games they were mediocre. Only Xenosaga III actually had good gameplay imo.
And Xenoblade , while nowhere near as good as gears and saga in terms of story , was a great game.
So I think his approach is actually the best one. Balance between gameplay and story and don't focus on one to the detriment of another. He doesn't sound burnt out at all , but someone who is sure of his craft and found a good formula in Xenoblade.
If only the character design was more unique.
In what fucking universe does Pyra look 12
Ugh don't remind me. That game was a disaster. Worst entry in the series by far.Xenosaga 2 absolutely derailed Xenosaga series for me. Wasn't even the story but the atrocious battle system and character building.

Iwata: Takeda-san, so how did you receive the requests from Takahashi-san about writing the script?
Takeda: For this game, a large amount of the plot was written beforehand by Takahashi-san, so I started off by reading that.
Kojima: Come to think of it, Takahashi-san wrote a lot. I've worked with Takahashi-san for a long time, but this was the first time I've seen him write so much for a game's plot. It was as if he was writing a novel.
Takeda: Yes, it was like reading a novel.
Kojima: It was quite a read on its own, so I even suggested to Takahashi-san to get it published.
Iwata: In other words, you put together a script using the pages and pages of plot written beforehand.
Takeda: That's correct. I carefully picked out the stories that fit with the game's content and scale and turned them into scripts.
Lots of people seem to think any anime girl who isn't clearly 30 years old is automatically a 12 year old, regardless of whether of how developed their body is. I hope nobody bothered by designs like this ever goes to a porn site, because there are lots of real women who look younger than 18 on there.
Pretty sure that's illegal.
