It's Grammy weekend folks. It's about that time of the year again where we watch our favorite music artists either get the awards they deserve or get snubbed. The year of 2014 may or may have not been the strongest or most diverse for music depending on your taste, but we make lemonade with the "lemons" offered. This year we're in for a special treat in performances, ranging from AC/DC, to Hozier, to Rihanna, to Madonna, to John Legend and many more. We'll even have a Selma Tribute from Beyoncé. Did I mention that this'll be the first time in 6 years that Kanye returns to the Grammys? This year there will be a Grammy Premiere Ceremony which takes place before the actual event, which will be streamed. During the Premiere event, some awards are given out to the nominees. Whether you're here just to stay for the lovely performances, the awards, or the inevitable meltdowns, this year's Grammy Awards will do its best to present to us with a summation of what 2014 had to offer. The Hype around the program is very strong, and it leaves many questions that are left to be answered in due time; Will Sam Smith sweep the awards and snatch AOTY from Beyoncé? Will Twitter be stable if Iggy wins Rap AOTY? Will Katy finally get a Grammy? How memorable will be the performances be? Will the nominees of your choice finally get their deserved recognition?
Stay tuned on CBS Sunday night at 8:00 pm EST. They'll be updates as time pass by.

When: Sunday, February 8th, 2015. 8 pm EST on CBS channel

TBH, Iggy has a lot of competition. I don't see her winning the rap album. I think she has a chance with Fancy in the duo category tho.

Whenever a game uses "middleware," I expect mediocrity. Just see how poor TLOU looks.
Can't wait for the meltdowns when Igor wins lmaooo. Dark Horse for single of the year.

It's gonna be Sam Smith's night :*)

Mega excited for the Queen of Pop performing Living for Love, Gaga, Ariana, and Katy.

Taylor's not performing though? 1989 truly has been forgotten, poor her.

My god, the album of the year nominees are horrible. Beyonce literally the only good album out of the bunch.

Yet 1989 sales are better than Gaga, Ariana and Katy latest albums combined.

Album of the Year- Whole Album
Recor of the Year- One song

Both awards are being given to the artist, producer etc.

Song of the Year- One song but only given to the composer/ artist

The worst thing about the Grammys is not the bad artists, but the bad artists that the press pretend are a redeeming quality, like Adele and Arcade Fire.

The mess when Iggy wins best rap album will be very entertaining. As wrong as it is... I'm excited to see the fallout as well as Iggy acting like she deserves it.

This is one of those things where you secretly (or openly, idk) root for the worst people to win.

How does it exactly work, "1989" is considered for next year ? Because it's a bit weird seeing that it has 0 nominations when it comes to albums

There's an Album deadline for the Grammy Awards, which was September 30th. 1989 came out after the deadline so it wasn't eligible for AOTY. It could have a chance at appearing on next year's AOTY nominees.

Oh shit, Tom Petty's being nominated for Rock Album too.
I'll laugh if Tom Petty & Jeff Lynne stand up with Sam Smith for "Stay With Me."

Kanye is performing twice. I repeats, KANYE IS PERFORMING TWICE. Once with Rihanna and Paul McCartney and again with "an as-yet-unannounced new solo track" according to MTV.

Sam Smith - Lay With Me (Darkchild Version)

I wasn't aware there was another version?

He's going to sweep anyway

So excited to see Madonna's first (real) performance at the Grammys in nearly 10 years, when she opened the show with Gorillaz in 2006! Should be a great performance of Living For Love, the first single off her 13th album, Rebel Heart, which is due in early March!

Also exciting to see Katy Perry in the performances, they must have added her when they saw how she drew 118 million people to watch her amazing halftime show last week - the most watched halftime show in history! It also makes sense considering her video for the song Dark Horse (feat. Juicy J), which is nominated for a Grammy award, just became the most watched video by a female artist! 800M+ views in less than a year! Wow! Disappointed she won't be singing Legendary Lovers or Walking on Air, though, instead opting for the boring ass By the Grace of God from her multiplatinum album, Prism.

Ariana Grande should also be amazing as always! But I'll let botty take it from here. :p

- Beyonce
- Katy Perry, her first Grammy and performance.
- 45 Seconds, the Rihanna vocals live X_x
- Juanes performance.
- The possibility of Azealia Banks meltdowns aka. Iggy winning.
- Madonna performing live "Living for Love"

Yeah, that cover it all.

I would be pretty messed up if HAIM loses to Iggy. Now that would be more upsetting than anything else she could possibly win. HAIM is leagues, miles, fucking universes better than Iggy.

Anyone but Iggy needs to win Best New Artist...except Bastille. They just plain suck
