I don't have any problems at all with the controls and completed the whole game. You can also set all the sensitivity the way you like. It controls just great.
 
Hmm i have this preorded on the 360, however my ps3 is collecting dust of late and would really like something to play on it. Is the only difference between them rumble, achievements, and more tv shows on the ps3 version. I dont think this will be a big seller with those on my friends list on 360 and i have shadowrun and forza 2 on 360. Hmm help me gaf lol the ps3 version will run the same and have mp too right.

Ok all, just to get the hype meter full I picked up an awesome graphic novel today. It's called "The Darkness Ultimate Collection" and it's simply a collection of the issues of the comic that were either used in the game or inspired parts of it. I just started reading it and it starts right from the beginning of the series. I know some may say it will spoil the game, but for me it will make the game all the more sweet to know about the characters.

There is a pretty big spoiler in there..just to warn ya. I'm sure it'll happen differently in the game but still, I just feel like I have to give you a little heads up.

Selective hearing?

He says no offline multiplayer and it gets reiterated that there will be a number of online multiplayer modes. Also he mentions that the mafia story plays a part of the main game. And to top it off he says it is on PS3 and 360 and he is not sure about PC. But nice spin :D

Thanks for the heads up. Do you know how far in it is? If it's closer to the end I will just read halfway and wait till I'm through the game to finish the book.

Yeah i have went for the ps3 version simply because i have nothing to play on my ps3s atm. I havent read anything what so ever on the mp aspect yet, previews/reviews should be making an apperance this week i should think with it coming out next. For any uk gaffers shopto.net have this at a bargintastic £29.99 on the ps3.:D

I'd love to get the PS3 version, I don't have a single game for my PS3 at the moment.

But I will definitely wait for reviews and comparsions, there could be framerate problems or things like that in the PS3 version.
 
WTF?!

This is just in. Rumors has surfaced that Take two Interactive has confirmed that the ps3 version of The Darkness has been delayed from a 29 June release to a 20 July in Europe. Gamestop.com reports that the US version is still on track for a 6/25/07 shipment date.

What? Why on earth would the PS3 release be delayed for a whole month? Way to kill sales, guys. I know a lot of folks planning on the PS3 release would simply grab the 360 release instead if this were the case (I know that's what I'll do).
 
I really have no idea if I'll be buying the 360 version or importing the PS3 version, at this stage. I'm sick of waiting for some comparison articles.

How is it killing sales when someone's choosing just another SKU of the same thing?
 
The Darkness Level 0, 1, 3 and 4 comics are directly related to the game. Issue 0 is actually painted by the game's concept artists, Mattias Syngg . It's beautiful.

Why would they care? They aren't sony, $ coming from Ps3 version or 360 version is the same thing.
 
The PS3 needs all the sales it can get (I certainly do not wish to see it fail) and I can't imagine any company wants to see one of their SKUs tank...

I'd rather play it on PS3 as I actually prefer the controller and I don't want to push my 360 too hard until Halo 3 (avoiding red rings). Also, the 360 is f*cking loud (which does annoy me).
 
If it turns out that the delay is caused bucause they need to censor this game I am going to kill someone and blame it all on Take Two. That'll teach em to screw us over.

read again. The PS3 version is on track with the 360 version in the US. Aren't you in the US? The delay is europe only.

I saw that after I posted, but decided to leave things as they were as it will still apply to some folks.

Oh man, that is just sad. MSFT does deserve to be slapped with a class action lawsuit but I'm not sure there is a real cause of action as long as they are handling all warranty repairs according to the terms.

Do the x-clamp fix and never have to worry about it. Also I don't see how anyone could prefer playing a game like The Darkness (FPS) with the sixaxis over the X360 pad.
 
i'm trying to get both versions (review copies) so i don't need to worry about if there's a superior one.

i'm kind of hoping the ps3 one is better so i can get in some quality time with my ps3, which has been relegated to just playing blu-rays of late.

be nice to have the other one to play online with my group of friends (that for better or worse are very xbox 360 centric).

Its bad, because I literally get scared to put some games in my 360.

Jackie is seeking help with the police/fbi to go against Frankie
Stop. (I don't know if what I bolded was really a spoiler since I doubt it happens in the game...)

Do they split the 2 runs in the tpb like they did in the comic? If they do, when you're nearing the end of the 1st run, stop reading. Of course if
Jackie has already died and been brought back
then continue reading since you've past the big part I was talking about.

My guess is that it's censorship issues. According to previews it's the most violent game in years (some say ever), and that's saying alot.

Got it, I'll stop reading there and wait till after the game to continue. Right now I'm at the part where
Sonatine takes Jackie out into the sun and shows him that his powers don't work in the light. Angelus takes advantage of this and plans an attack
