That looks... kind of rough? The CGI and set design is really spotty in places.
I was looking forward to this, but that trailer dampened my enthusiasm.
 
Let's hope this turns out better than Vinyl. Also I feel like these execs are screwing up with these period pieces if they are looking to make a popular show, the 90s are in right now not the 70s. 90s being a loose term, really it's the late 80s-mid 90s. I think a show about the rise of alternative/grunge/gangsta rap would play much better presently than 70s punk/hip hop. Straight Outta Compton was a pretty big success last year.

A show around the 120 minutes/Yo! MTV Raps era I think has a better chance of finding an audience right now.
