I enjoyed our best of 3. I feel like my eyes freaked out at the end of the last one and went nuts slicing your stuff :lolLugNut74 said:Oh my the multiplayer update that just came out for Fruit Ninja is totally awesome. I highly recommend this game.

I wouldn't be too sure about that; voice chat is directly supported even! It has its own section in the Game Kit API docs and everything. So adding text chat support by yourself isn't really a stretch.Mejilan said:Hmmmm.

Yes there's TONS missing. Fewer skins (though some new ones) and the controls are pretty tough to get used to. That saying, I still love it (too big of a Lumines fan) and they have little medals for time and score attack which were fun to get.NIGHT- said:I see that a few people in this thread have Lumines. How does it compare to say the 360 version? I love it on 360 and it would be even better on portable. Anything missing or added?

Is there a rejection precedent for this?
Agreed. I love the new skins. The touch interface will slow down the game a bit but I absolutely love the game.AstroLad said:Yes there's TONS missing. It was a terrible port. Don't know if it was ever updated to fix controls either. I'd strongly recommend 'Unify' instead. When I click on the pack, it lists single, endless, and all times (though I don't remember if I had to do anything to unlock):Gamecocks625 said:Agreed. I love the new skins. The touch interface will slow down the game a bit but I absolutely love the game.

If that were the case, they would block IM apps, Skype, everything. They don't.Mejilan said:Honestly I have absolutely no idea.
I'm new to the whole iPhone thing.
Besides, mine's jailbroken, so I do have access to other texting apps.
But there's got to be a reason why they're going to Cydia instead of the App Store, I'd think.
Texting's basically free money for the phone carriers. There could be contractual issues there between phone carriers and Apple.
*shrugs*

Chatting in Game Center is closer to IM than texting, IMO. I just see this as a 1.0 software thing, not a evil nefarious lockdown thing. Words with Friends has had in game chat forever, for example.Mejilan said:Why? Different protocols and technologies; and typically at least somewhat proprietary as well. Texting is basically universal; hardware and carrier independent. Admittedly IM tech doe seem to be going a similar route, though not quite there.
Do you really think that the makers of BiteSMS wouldn't rather have their amazing and full-featured texting replacement app on the App Store? Citing App Store/Apple restrictions, the full-featured BiteSMS stays on Cydia, leaving only the heavily stripped down (and Apple compliant) version called MunchSMS on the App Store. MunchSMS might as well be another proprietary app, for how limited it is compared to its bigger brother.
Why are you not able to breed it?KingOfKong said:Someone please make a pocket frogs thread. I would but, you know, junior member : (
Everybody needs this game. It's so ridiculously addicting and fun. It's also really cheap (free). I've been trying to breed this damn frog for like 3 hours lol.
Words with Friends has a chat feature.wmat said:I see a cool opportunity for an app there: Make a legit game with chat, promote the chat feature, win.
BKXB said:Fruit Ninja or Stardunk?
It's not the cost, it's the fact that I still have too many games to play.
But I don't have a true MP iPhone game yet (WWF doesn't count, I think).
I'm irritated with myself for not remembering this sooner. It sinks that entire argument.Psy-Phi said:Words with Friends has a chat feature.
Yeah, but they're not basing their ads on chatting with fellow Game Center citizens. That's more what I was getting at.Psy-Phi said:Words with Friends has a chat feature.

What are the games in your platform folder?
I don't know : ( I still haven't figured it out the best way to do it. None of my frog combinations are making the correct breed. I can't think of a more simple way to do it other than hopping around till I find the correct frog with the right pattern.Vyer said:Why are you not able to breed it?
It's like a puzzle. Break the frog down into it's three parts(main color, secondary color, pattern) then breed frogs that have one or more of those parts. Once you build up a nice catalog, it's easy to mix and match.KingOfKong said:I don't know : ( I still haven't figured it out the best way to do it. I'll redownload it then. Hopefully they made it much better because it was broken in the original release.AstroLad said:Yes, they did.
IM is pretty close, you can already send and receive text messages to/from phone numbers. And I'm pretty sure there's a few apps that are meant entirely for that, when you register you get a phone number that can receive texts (pushed to the app) and can send out from. It looks like that's what munchsms does actually...well they make you pay for messages though.Mejilan said:Why? Star Dunk doesn't look like it's a basketball game...but it is, well it's like a Pop a Shot game but from a side view with worldwide simultaneous multiplayer.YagizY said:Any decent basketball games you guys can suggest?
Yep I never played it when it released, just after the fix. My money is on you still hating it. :lolLord Error said:I'll redownload it then. Hopefully they made it much better because it was broken in the original release.

I believe the game should still work. It needs 3GS+ and 4.1 for the Game Center stuff, but the game itself runs fine without that enabled.rc213 said:Will Fruit Ninja work on iPhone 3G 4.0.1? Minimum specs say iOS4.1 iPhone 3GS/iTouch 2G.

There are some references to the first game, but it's not really important to the sequel. I personally would play them in order though.Dries said:Does it matter story-wise which monkey island I play first? Cause I think I wanna start with II. Thats the best one right?
:lol :lolWordAssassin said:Tetris is $1? Finally, I am willing to pay that price. I've been wanting Tetris on my phone for years and years, since it was stock on my old bullshit dumbphones, but I wasn't about to spend $5-10 on it. $1 is my sweet spot. FINALLY
Also, what the hell is up with the Plus+ network, I've been trying to add people in Pocket Frogs for like 15 minutes and it's not working.
Edit: TETRIS DOESN'T HAVE RETINA DISPLAY GRAPHICS WHAT THE FUCK
