Also, where the hell is my Tetris music?

This is like the worst version of Tetris I've ever played. I'd rather it have just been a port of the GameBoy game with on-screen controls. Thank God it was only $1. Now I have to go find the Tetris tune and add it to my iTunes library so I can at least play with the proper music. >:(

There are some references to the first game, but it's not really important to the sequel. I personally would play them in order though.

Yeah, but as someone said above you maybe its better to wait until MI 1 recieves retina support. So.. seems like Ill be starting with the sequel :)

When I click on the pack, it lists single, endless, and all times (though I don't remember if I had to do anything to unlock):

Bummer they haven't released any skins other than the comic pack. Would certainly buy another just to go through new skins and get the medals.

Yeah they are locked right now. Looks like I have to achieve a certain score/medal to open them up.

I feel the same about the lack of extra skin packs aside from the Comic Pack. I think Q did a bang up job with the skins/music in this version so I'd hate for it to not see any additional support. Although I'm not sure how well it did on the financial side to warrant additional packs. Either way, It's still going to get plenty of play time.

We need to have a GAF Fruit Ninja tournament.

I'd join it in a heartbeat.

It does? None of my games do.

I picked up Worldy Wings since it's only $1 right now and it's got this feature. I'll try and get a pic up

check it out

Flight Doodle is free today (normally $5? really??) but not sure if it's even worth your time. Even after rebooting my 3G I'm not happy with the framerate at all. May run better on newer devices I guess. You can make a GAF balloon though. So there's that.

Works fine on a 4.

holy crap, just had an insanely intense Super Mega Worm session, my arm hurts. 106k, i have no idea if that's any good or not. definitely a must-buy at a dollar.

Monkey Island 2 update, deletes your saved games. Grr... Only got 10% in, so it's not too bad for me, plus, today, the 1st one is 59p too, so, I reckon I'll start on that, and then go onto 2... But really really poor on their part.

The company I work for just released a free game called undercroft.

I haven't played it, but it looks like an old skool Eye Of The Beholder style dungeon crawler. And it's free so... hope this doesn't count as viral advertising because I'm not really selling anything here.
This such a steal for a free game. If you like rpg's in the slightest make sure you pick this game up.

The just released Monkey Island 1 for the iPad has the MI2 control scheme. Here's hoping for an update to the iPhone version with the same feature.

Kinda annoying that the slight update to MI2 forces you to download the entire file size (350+ megs) over again. Oh well, I guess I can't complain for a dollar.

It isn't slight - that's all the graphics in higher resolution. Anyway, isn't that how updates work in general on the AppStore? That you don't download a patch, but a new version of the complete app?

Yeah, maybe I just didn't notice it because the apps I download are normally tiny. And that's good about the resolution, but since I don't have the new itouch I'm stuck in the past!:lol

This, and the scaling. Fuck that pissed me off.

Got both MIs for my iPhone. Should I double-dip for the iPad version? Mine is coming tomorrow, probably. I mean, let's consider I'll be paying 6 for each app to have it pseudo-universal. Still a goddamned STEAL.

Decisions, decisions.

Saves don't carry over, so it's not very universal. However, it indeed is a steal at that price, and the iPad version of MI2 has audio commentary and possibly art gallery as well (guys?).

Damn Monster Dash runs worse on my iPhone 3G than it did on my 2G. :lol Guess I have to suck it up until 4.1 gets jailbroken/unlocked.

I'm super impressed with FlickKick Football. It's one of those games that gets the little things right and has the" one more game" addictiveness to it.

It's one of the games I play the most.

Glad to hear people are still enjoying Flick Kick Football. There is another update about to be submitted that fixes up an OpenFeint issue.

We also have something inspired by FKF but much bigger in the works. Will be a couple of months before that is revealed however.

Downloaded "Undercroft" today - great game! - especially for FREE.

RPG set in a style that reminds me of "Eye of the Beholder" (PC).

I hope it's Flick Kick Football 2 with a goalkeeper who moves to stop the ball, like Flick Football, but not as crappy.

It would also be nice if FKF had a separate Arcade mode that combines the three balls with a scoring system where shots that are closer to the posts give you more points, maybe a series of zones with different values. That way there would be more incentive to take difficult shots.

Aside from that please just reduce the time it takes to restart after you lose.

Does it matter story-wise which monkey island I play first? Cause I think I wanna start with II. Thats the best one right?

I like One the best...

Any plans to incorporate gamecenter?

Awesome idea

Maybe I'm just a bitter old codger, but do the "here's my game collection" pics really have a place in this thread?

It's even worse than the pictures of physical items in your collection! I'm all for reviewing games or talking about sales, but for Christ's sake, keep this in your pants.

I'm still loving Pocket Frogs. I like how even though it's Freemium, EVERYTHING can be unlocked or earned through play (you can find Stamps and Potions randomly searching the Pond).

I also like how there isn't a demand to keep checking in, frogs don't die or disappear if you don't check in for a few days, but in games like WeRule your crops will all die. Pocket Frogs really lets you play at your leisure.

Agreed. It scratches that collection itch without too much of a hassle. I'm liking the achievements as well. "Well, I've got maroon in this frog, and carota in this frog, if I breed them into this frog..."

It's a neat little game.
