Boo.. no Street Fighter in the Capcom sale. :( kind of interested to try that.

by the way i downloaded Stair Dismount last night and was very pleasantly surprised. of course i do really like Zen Bound though

Are there any good 3D adventure games on the iPhone. I'm thinking more like Zelda/Fable/Oblivion. Not Quest.

Wow, finally getting the hang of Critical Wave, going up in the leaderboards fast...

I love this game, awesome graphics with loads of effects and a very sharp anti-aliased look, super smooth framerate, great style, addictive gameplay and what seems like an infinite learning curve that adds so much depth to the game...

Just look at it!

How is the gaming scene for tower defence games?

Hi guys! Do you remember our Flash games Knightfall and Knightfall 2? They were quite liked critically, and ever since people have been asking us for an iDevice version.

Well, thanks to Namco Networks America Inc., we are proud to announce that Knightfall: Death and Taxes is today available for download on iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad... for free!

EDIT: Sorry guys! I was told this would be the actual thing, but it's just a trial of the full game (the first island both as the Knight and the Princess). You can purchase it in-game once the trial is over.

Ok, so how much is the full game? :lol

EDIT: three expansions, $3.99, $1.99, $4.99.

So $11 for the whole thing? Or is that 2 games worth of content? How long will it take to beat, for example?

I'm not complaining, just curious. I'll probably buy the first expansion and check it out.

Capcom sale:

Resident Evil 4 - $1 (down from $5)
While I know it's kinda silly to even debate a $1 purchase (see what the app store has done to me!!!)

How is this game? Worth a dollar?

I tried Degeneration when I had access to a Touch and I didn’t like it. The game moved WAY too slow and the animation was awful.

I have it and I think it sucks.

Try the free version of RE4 - Link

I think the touch controls work reasonably well, considering. What baffles me is the comments on the full app's page, basically stating that this is only HALF of the game. Apparently Capcom promised to update the app with additional content, but I guess it's still missing a good chunk of the experience. Can anyone verify?

I bought RE4 and played for a bit, and it does suck. Gameloft might be ripping off RE5 with Zombie Infection, but at least that game was fun.

Also bough Dark Void Zero, and that game is awesome. Everyone should grab it.

Plants vs Zombies
Defender Chronicles

Then:
GeoDefense/Swarm
Guns N Glory
Tower Madness
The Creeps!
Fieldrunners
Elemental Monster TD
Save Slyvia
7 Cities
Garden War
Crystal Defenders

To name a few. There's like 100s more.

Ok, Apple solved my credit card problem in the iTunes!

So I don't want to spend a lot of money, but I have some stuff pending.

Beneath a Steel Sky
Super Mega Worm
Mirror's Edge

Anymore recommendations? Also, can you classify these three in order of preference? :P

I don't know how much was changed in the remastered iPhone version, but you can get that one free from GoG.

Mirror's edge got really good reviews, so I'd put that first, having not played any of them! :)

Yeah, I have it from GoG too, but being able to play it on the move...! Sounds too good lol

New intro and post-credits movie teasing BTSS2. Both done by Gibbons, of course.

The interface is very comfortable.

And the port is done by Revolution itself, so you're actually supporting them (and the aforementioned sequel) by buying the game.

Looking through what I have, I'd say the following are worth grabbing

Ace Attorney
Aftermath (should still be free)
Broken Sword
Plants vs Zombies
Puzzle Agent
Zombie Infection

I also own the three games you've listed. They're all great, but I'd say play Mirror's Edge, then Steel Sky. Mega Worm is something you can just play randomly, but it's a ton of fun.

The $3.99 is for the whole of the story mode (with none of the extra modes like Pet Protector and Boss Rush) and the $1.99 is for JUST the extra game modes, minus the extra story mode.

The $4.99 is for the whole thing together.

I believe that's how it goes, at least.

You might want to let somebody know that it's impossible to distinguish that by the way it's described in app. You're going to have some pissed off customers buy all 3.

EDIT: very nice game. I'll be buying the $4.99 version. :D

Out of curiosity I downloaded Mega Man II Lite and now all I want to do is go back in time and murder Sam Hurst.

Yeah, I tried it once, and I can't do reflex based games without the tactile response of a real physical d-pad and buttons. I end up missing touching the right spot all the time.

Broke down and got Final Freeway, ehhhh, not quite as good as I was expecting. Also Aftermath is free and while not that great of a game, has amazing lighting, worth getting just to see the lighting. Going to cash in on that Capcom sale, First up Dark Void Zero.

How's Crayon Physics Deluxe on an iphone? It's discounted from $5 to $1 until the 29th.

It's alright, definitely worth a buck. I had framerate issues on my 3G, but it seems to run fine on my iPhone 4.

Also look at Across Age, which is generally well liked.

Yea, Across Age seemed a bit nicer from what little I've played of both, much smoother framerate than Zenonia too (though still a little choppy looking)!

I've given up on the virtual pad/stick of the iphone. Dark Void Zero should be an amazing game but I hate the controls. I just can't get into it. Puzzle games and driving games are about all I can tolerate on it. Pizza Boy did controls so right, I wish more games were like that.

yeah, Zenonia 2.

:D
does the sequel have that same blurry look that comes from it not being native resolution?

Hey feel free to challenge me anytime ;)

On other news, is Words With Friends any good?
Yes WWF is good. There's a free version. Feel free to add me if you want to try it: BKXB

GUYS! Splode is currently free (usually 2$). Very soothing game and for the low price of free, this is a fricken awesome deal. GET IT! :-D

I've been wanting a pinball game, what to get? Monster Pinball, or Pinball HD (for being a universal app)?

Slayer pinball is actually a better game.
