what sort of scores are people getting in Bookworm? What score is respectable D:?

Like regular Bookworm? I don't know the actual score, but I was on level 21 the last time I played. No idea if that's good or bad.

My new game was just released on the AppStore

I wouldn't mind giving this a go if you still have a code. It sounds interesting.

Glad to hear that Reckless Racing finally has a semi-solid release date of "later this month". I'm still psyched over that game from Totilo's impressions calling it the next RC Pro-Am.

Thanks a lot guys, I really appreciate it.

codes on their way.
Thanks!

This is really fun. Like you said, it's a simple concept, but it translates really well as a game. You also weren't kidding...once those colored zones start to shrink, it gets tough fast. I'm not too far behind you on the leaderboards, though (I'm Radical Ninja; feel free to add me on Game Center if you'd like).

I will say that I'm not a fan of the font choice, but that's a pretty minor complaint obviously.

I'm having a lot of fun with Trainyard Express, so I decided to see if Trainyard has or will have GC support before I buy it when I came across this interesting blog by the developer: http://struct.ca/2010/the-story-so-far/.

It is a pretty cool look at how much of a difference putting out a nice demo/lite version (Trainyard Express) and getting featured by Apple changed things for this game. I remember reading about the game in the past (probably in this thread) but didn't think much of it, and before Trainyard Express came out a couple of weeks ago, Trainyard had only 3000 sales so I wasn't the only one that wrote it off.

I hope he puts out another blog as he wrote this one on Oct 12, right before it was featured by Touch Arcade and dropped to $0.99.

Btw, anyone know if Trainyard has GC support? (I'll probably buy it anyways but just curious).

Is Across Age good? Should I get the iPad or iPod Touch version?

Oh man, last night's update of The Incident is amazing. The ability to use my iPhone as a controller for the iPad version of the game is fucking incredible. Every game that can take advantage of this should be doing it.

Heroes Lore is due out in a few weeks or less and looks to be a bit nicer, might be worth waiting for that one, unless you're looking for a bigger emphasis on puzzles.

I love you GAF!

Game Dev Story is my new favorite game.

I played for 5 hours yesterday. More than I've played a game in one sitting in years.

Rather than getting any work done...

I hate you GAF.

It would be cool if Q Entertainment could release lumines for the ipad, Meteos Wars, Gunpey, and Every Extend Extra Extreme on the ipad and iphone

I'm not sure what iOS projects they have going on (if any). They never released any more Lumines skin packs after the Comic pack for iPhone.

Does anyone here have connections with Q? I'm sure they're just trying to focus on Child of Eden at this point.

The Incident update lets you control the iPad version using an iPod Touch... awesome! The Touch screen shows Frank dreaming about what is going to fall next. :D

I now love this game.

Pinball HD for iPhone got a sweet new update with GameCenter, redesigned menus and in-app purchases for more tables (including Slayer).
The iPad version got everything as well(except GC, obviously).

Anyone else actively holding off on playing iPad games until 4.2 and GC? Or is that just me? :lol

It also got stereoscopic 3D support! :) And it seems there's online multi-player? I can't really figure it out if it supports GC multiplayer, cause if not, there's no achievements for it's GC support, so it'd be utterly worthless.

The new UI is nice too, and I love The Deep's audio commentary showing off the table (select it but don't start playing it). Wish the others had a similar feature!

Slayer features customizable guitar tracks, hopefully all future updates include nice features, achievements and more tables.

If I buy just one Sonic game should I just get sonic 4? I played 1 and 2 way back in the day

I think if you played Sonic 1 and Sonic 2, you've played every Sonic game (worth playing).

Bought Knights of the Phantom Castle since it was on sale recently, and it's a really fun RTS style game that suits touch controls. You control up to four adventurers, fighting with flicking, tapping, and holding for their special powers. Short stages and item crafting to power up your dudes. It's also an universal app.

If you like flight control then give harbour master a try it's free.

Iam playing we doodle right now very fun multiplayer game.

i was soo close to buy an iPad today but i'm still not sure. I really can't decide between an iPod touch 4 and an iPad, that i would use for apps of all kinds, but probably mostly for gaming.

I tried the iPad in a store and it really felt awesome, but sure the price difference between it and the iPod is important.

I will probably buy the iPad especially thanks to the bigger screen and other advantages, but i still have some doubts.

Any tip? Does the smaller screen of the iPod compromise the whole experience? I've been searching for news about a 2g of Ipads and i only found voices and speculations, but if a new version will be out within 5 or 6 months i may hold or go for the iPod...

There's an Apple conference this wed, chances are against it mentioning anything about the iPod/iPad/iPhone, but it's just three more days...

Yeah.. I think that's why they're calling it 'Back to Mac'. :D
There's no reason for Apple to cannibalize their own sales for the holiday by announcing any more devices.

New iPods come out every September as they have for the last 5 years.

Same boat, want to get an iPad too, but I really need to see how well the new os works on it. If its all fine and there are no problems, then the upgrades on the ipad will be more cosmetic - if not, then we know the Ipad will have some serious hardware upgrades and its not worth buying it at the end of the year cycle.

I dont see why people fret over the iPad.

Buy one now and sell it when a new one comes out. You'll end up being out of pocket, but by very little.

Apple devices hold their value really well.

Only got two more levels to three star in Cut The Rope.

Some levels are deceptively easy to get all stars.

I got three stars on every level, then fucked my iPod up trying to jailbreak it! Restore was a few days old!!

Oh well, games so fun I'm happy to do the levels again :)

I've been testing 4.2 for some time (beta 3 came out last week) and it's quite solid on the hardware. I thought 256MB would gimp the multitasking but it works fine. No iPhone 3G / 4.1 issues.

I'm surprised there isn't much talk here about Modern Combat 2: Black Pegasus. I haven't played it yet myself cause it's a bit pricy and I'll get it when it's on sale, but there's so much buzz around it and it's getting terrific reviews.

I can't save anywhere in The Secret of Monkey Island lite. Should I buy the full version to be able to?

It really does deserve the praise it's getting. I picked it up the other day and have only played through the first two missions. Great game. However, I wish it used GameCenter for multiplayer as opposed to Gameloft's LIVE or whatever they call it.

You know what would bee sweet? If they brought the Infinity Engine games to the iPad. Or the Fallouts. That would be awesome.
