DDPDFK update is out. New secret BGM has been added, flip controls option (to avoid accidentally hitting the 2x button on iPad, a History section (DDP history), and some other bug fixes.

Edit: the new music is awesome :lol

Chrominance 1.0.1 now available on the AppStore.
This version adds the Retina Display support.

I was also able to reduce the file size under the 20MB limit, but the AppStore release added a couple of MB. Guss I'll try again :D

Cheers

Hah, yes, I was hoping the ondo would make its way into the actual game.

Terribly late to the party, but Tilt To Live HD is fantastic. Might get the iPhone version as well. Although, controlling the iPad version via the iPhone would make it tenfolds better, so I hope they implement that feature.

Trainyard is my 2010 GOTY. Original, fresh, innovative.

I have also been playing through Trainyard Express. Great game. The online submission of solutions is very cool. Although I wish it was accessible ingame (yes I've looked at it).

It might have been mentioned a few pages back but I've also been enjoying Cut the Rope. Adorable little green thing.

Sweet, now even elitist assholes like myself can enjoy your game. Bought. ;)

You should probably proof-read that description one more time

Bit.trip Beat looks cool.. but it's pretty expensive for a ''gimmick'' game. Also, no Retina support..

It's not a "gimmick" game, the Bit.trip series on wiiware is awesome, and this one gives a lot of fun if you enjoy HARD rythm games.
I haven't tried, the new "easy" mode but the regular mode is brutal.

Does anyone know what song is playing in Mirror's Edge - 4.2 - Playground?

Edit: Nevermind, found it, it's "Still Alive Benny Benassi Remix"

Any news on the release dates for Phoenix wright 2 & 3 ?
Were the sales of the first one so poor that Capcom cancelled the release ?

Been playing a pretty cool game called Crystal War.

If you've ever played Warlord: Call to Arms on Kongregate, you'd have a good idea of what this game is like. CW looks good, is fun, and is worth the .99 to check it out.

Indeed, Crystal War is a fun little game, thanks for the heads up. I like the simple art style for the characters too.

Need help with Modern Combat 2, playing the first level there's Quick Time Event (¬_¬) where a barrel flies at you, and the on screen instruction just seems to be someone holding an iphone... What the hell am I meant to do, I've tried tilting, shaking everything

As far as I remember, you do have to shake it. But it takes a big shake. It's been awhile since I played it though, so I may be wrong.

I wish there was an encyclopedia of units/monsters so you can know what things do before you use them. It gives you specific stats for upgrades, but I'd love it if it had the base stats and a description of what the unit does somewhere for viewing, like in PvZ.

Nothing too great I can see... TD fans have a few free picks today, Knight Defense and 4Towers: Episode 2 “Evolution”, and puzzle fans have LetsTans Deluxe.

Rogue Planet for .99c is a ton of content, if you enjoy the sRPGs-lite genre or whatever it is, I can't say how good it is, but you'll get your moneys worth out of the non-mission stuff alone, its got a Wing Commander style meta-game with all sorts of areas of the ship you can travel to and talk to people between levels at, and it has been updated for retina display support as well if I'm not mistaken.

Oh shit, they're not kidding, you really haven't played Bit.Trip Beat until you've played it with headphones!

Also, the tilt controls could easily be fixed with adjustable sensitivity (I need it to be higher) and some sorta 'smoothing' of the input I think. But touch works great for me atm.
Don't like the touch controls. On the iPad at least I can't easily see things coming from the left as my hand obscures thongs. Also I don't like games where I have to drag my finger a lot, it tense to 'stick' to the screen and is uncomfortable.

I blame the sleep deprivation :D
Thanks

No Retina, but still not bad looking.

i was soo close to buy an iPad today but i'm still not sure. I really can't decide between an iPod touch 4 and an iPad, that i would use for apps of all kinds, but probably mostly for gaming.

I tried the iPad in a store and it really felt awesome, but sure the price difference between it and the iPod is important.

I will probably buy the iPad especially thanks to the bigger screen and other advantages, but i still have some doubts.

Any tip? Does the smaller screen of the iPod compromise the whole experience? I've been searching for news about a 2g of Ipads and i only found voices and speculations, but if a new version will be out within 5 or 6 months i may hold or go for the iPod...

Well, quoting myself just to say that i bought an iPad, and i'm having a blast :D

reckless racing is finally coming out this thursday!

months of waiting, and as they reveal more of the game's details I find myself way less excited...

sorry for the stupid question: since there isn't an iPad version of Modern Combat 2, if i buy the ipod one it will work without issues, right (online too) ?

They fixed the hold button bug so I can play again! Just wish they'd go back to letting the laser turn shot back on (after toggling shot off)...I know it was a bug, but it was a good bug!

I really don't like Bit.trip Beat. The controls are way too sensitive for me and the beats fly too quickly in patterns that I can only memorise, not react to. Too often it's difficult to separate the beats from the background. I'm just not having any fun.

I knew it. I could feel it in my waters. Now I need to avoid finding out about these details just in case they put me off purchasing it.

I can't figure out how to get past level 5 or 6, when they introduce rotating blocks. I can see what I should do but the blocks simply don't seem to respond to my touch :(

One of my friends did a comic book for the promotion of a Gameloft Game named Star Battalion for iphone.

I don't know if the game is good or not, but the comic is gorgeous like most of his work, and it's free :

http://itunes.apple.com/fr/app/star-battalion-la-bande-dessinee/id398975940?mt=8

The only problem is the FMV intro can't be stopped when you start the app, and that they cut the story in episodes, but I love the art so much, I don't care.

I wish they'd make an ipad version so the panels aren't cropped, but it's unlikely if they don't make an hd version of the game.
