So much wrong with that statement.Basileus777 said:Get it if you liked past Maddens. It's a solid upgrade, but it doesn't meet the hype and still has a lot of issues. It's basically a more polished Madden 2009.
YES! It happened nearly every play my very first game I played. Since I started playing in Franchise Mode it hasn't done it as much, but when it does happen (and especially on kick meters, like you said), it's very, very annoying.mik said:So, this doesn't happen on my 360 version, but the PS3 version periodically stutters, especially on the snap and on all the kick meters. Question, how do you send somebody in motion? I remember in the old Maddens, all you had to do was press the down arrow until you got to the selected receiver and then press the right or left arrow to send him in motion, but it seems like they changed that now...

I've been having some pretty competitive games tonight.
I killed the Vikings with the Cowboys 40 to 14. AD had over 150 rushing yards and 2 TDs, but Jackson threw for less than 150 and had 3 picks. I also had 4 sacks with minimal blitzing.
The Pats took it to me as the Cards, 32 to 17. Brady threw for just under 300 and had 4 tds and 1 int. They ran the ball 17 times, which seems about right considering how the game was moving along.
I then had 8 turnovers with Philly against the Packers at snowy Lambeau Field. I was trying to get the Trophy for beating them at home in the snow, and the cpu was just having none of it. I fumbled 6 times and threw 3 INTs, two of which were duck shots from McNabb getting hit. I'm pretty sure the game is programmed to make it hard to beat them at home in the snow because the fumbles were just out of control. I still only lost by 3 though, 35-32.
Please try these out and let me know how they work for you.
I'm Cowboys playing the Steelers, 17-0 in 1st half. Ben has thrown 2 picks.oneHeero said:Never missed with settings before, EVER. I simply throw it on All Pro and put 7 min qtrs and play but was looking for something more deep. So I'll definitely be trying these settings right now. THANKS!

Madden 10 may/may not run properly if you have a custom hardrive. I have a 320gig hdd and there have been some pausing issues. The pause happens after snapping the ball. It last about one second, if that.. But, its there and it's noticeable.
Question for PS3 owners. Are you getting a slight pause after you snap the ball? In practice mode the game runs smoothly. However, when you play a normal game there is a slight pause post snap on offense and defense. It also makes kicking difficult as well.
Ok, I did some homework. I need input from my fellow PS3 owners to validate my theory.. I exchanged my original copy of the game.. However before I did so, I had them test it out. Much to my surprise the game ran normally. The store owner said maybe its my system.. But, I knew better. I asked him which version of the PS3 was the game running on. He replied 20gig. So, that got me the thinking maybe the pause issue was tied into the hard drive.
To make a long story short. I switch out my custom 320gig harddrive and put in the factory 80gig.. And what do you know? The game runs smoothly.
What I need to know from PS3 owners is the following.
Model type (20, 40, 60, 80 gig):
Do you have a custom hard drive? If so does your game have a slight pause after you snap the ball?
What is the name brand of your custom harddrive?
I think this could be helpfully. Maybe EA could somehow patch this issue if it is indeed tied to the harddrive. In my case I can say with 100% certainty it is.
Thanks, gonna try that.CB3 said:I got it by calling Jam Middle in goal line and Diving when the ball was snapped

I'm not having the stuttering issue that some are having. The only stutter I've encoutered has been on a couple online games but thats to be expected.

That's what I feared. I don't want to change my hard drive to play Madden properly.anddo0 said:Its a hard drive issue. The HDD giving me trouble is a SAMSUNG M6 Series HM320JI 320GB 5400 RPM 8MB Cache. Hopefully more people speak out about this. My hard drive is fine, it's Madden and the way it accesses the hard drive.
j-wood said:I was thinking about buying this in the next day or two, but I have a quick question.
I know they continually update the roster and stuff, but next year, when the new version of madden comes out, can you still get roster updates for the 2010 version? Or does online support completely stop, including people playing online, servers and stuff?
Also, do you still have to start a quick online match to update it, and then back out of the game if you don't want to play online? It seems like they should have something in the option menu to do that, because I feel bad doing that
