I don't see why it wouldn't work on a pad. Either it just has everything on the touch screen or it uses the faces buttons with the shoulder buttons as modifiers, which would give you twelve slots with two and 24 with all four. The sheer amount of abilities per character would be enough to drive me completely away from that, touch screen or not.
Unless they announce a keyboard for it.
The problem here is 3DS needs accounts instead of FCs, with Wii U it may be fine (since it's rumored to have accounts).
I think the real question is... would Nintendo allow cross platform play with competitors.
I feel like you have a fundamental misunderstanding of what FCs are
Yeah, it's nowhere near obtrusive on the 3DS.
Oh man
If what I just heard was true
I HOPE YOU GUYS LIKE BAD MMORPGS
Wait, people don't like new Star Fox because furries? Wow, talk about shallow.

I hope we do get a Star Fox title. I'd like it to be similar to Adventures and not rushed. I actually enjoyed Adventures a lot.
I'll be honest, I loved Adventures. I wanted to play it ever since I saw my first preview of Dinosaur Planet. The ending was terrible and forced, but it was so much fun. Also, I think it was the first 3D/console game I ever completed, so I'm full of bias and nostalgia.
Ending was forced. If they didn't have to rush the development, it could have been better.
I know. I always imagined it as Rare's subtle way of saying 'f-you' to NCL for forcing the switch to the Star Fox brand, though I'm not sure how accurate that is.
Even with friend codes, the option for voice chat, messaging, and adding other players (met in game) are extremely limited or non-existent. Hoping for an update around e3 that fixes this.
I believe it's because their talent was leaving and Nintendo kept pushing them to complete the game before they sold them off. Don't think there was any reason for them to say such things towards NCL unless I'm missing something from their past relationship.
I hope so but I think the Update will probably come around the Fall Nintendo Direct. BUT my fingers are crossed for an E3 update.
Both PS2 and XBox 360 had Final Fantasy XI Online with no compromises. You could play the games with a full keyboard, as both systems had working USB ports.I think the Wii-U will be the first console ever to be able to tackle a proper MMO without compromising.
Plenty of space for hotkeys and UI on the tablet. Technically it also could display a on-screen keyboard for text chat.
They don't need to, the Wii-U is getting exactly that as a launch title, in Darksiders II.Nintendo could introduce a new IP that is similar to Zelda in structure, but free from the series conventions.
Well yeah, both companies are on record with official announcements saying they aren't even going to be discussing new hardware at E3.Well I just kind of confirmed that there won't be new PS4 reveal at this E3... so this means no new Xbox as well, probably.
So this means this E3 will be all about Wii U. That's good for Nintendo, it will get all the attention it needs (though the expo would be so much better with 2 new hardware reveals).
Being rushed was the least of Star Fox Adventures' problems. Forced "MASH 'A' TO WIN" segments, among other things. Such a frustrating game.

I don't know what you mean, the only segment that was frustrating was the test of fear (or however it was named), I never was able to do it. I liked the game to this point though.
Given Nintendos design capabilities, I'd say a new Action Adventure IP is more likely than a shooter.
The collect-a-thons were frustrating as hell, and since those were basically the whole game, you can see how people get frustrated by it.
Uncharted's too rigid and restricted for what I'd expect from Nintendo, though something with similar themes I could see, if they had a Western studio working on it.
Both Uncharted and Halo feel like what Nintendo could have done with mature IPs.
I think they will pave their own way, but that's just a hunch.
Not more than any of the 3D-Zeldas IMHO.
Of course, a Zelda 3DS being announced will never have the same kind of hype as this: http://www.neogaf.com/forum/showthread.php?t=398392
I'd say Uncharted is closer to it from a genre viewpoint, but I wouldn't expect Nintendo to use a Nathan Drake character. A Nintendo sanctioned mass murderer that exclusively targets non caucasians? Nah not going to happen.
...
Here's a wild idea. What if Retro is actually making a modern version of Four Swords for WiiU? Or something similar to that. Full 4 player story coop with gradual difficulty, randomized items and loot, the combat system of the best 3D Zelda games, offline splitscreen, online drop in drop out play, asynchronous online play with handwritten notes in dungeons and treasurehunts... brb changing pants.
The whole game was a fetch quest, aside from the occasional vehicle segments. It was the main game design. Zelda has them, but never to that extend, and never as the main gameplay drive.
And which is an example of an exclusive game that Nintendo requested to create? It's not an exclusive though. Nintendo really needs to invest into new IPs now. And not some Wii Sports kind of stuff.

The boy needs to emotionally divest himself. This board and this industry aren't worth getting that worked up about.
FFXIV taught me one thing. Never again will I purchase a collectors edition for an MMORPG on release. 80 dollars, and then next month it dropped in over half the price. They didn't even send my character portrait/certificate thing in the mail.
FFXIV announced for Wii U or just speculation?
I'd say it makes sense though. Once FFXIV is out on PS3 the PS4 will probably be close to launching.
