Argyle said:I called back again today and finally got escalated to a supervisor. (I would have demanded it yesterday, but I was already really pissed, and the connection was terrible.) Today their phones seemed to work and the supervisor looked at my records and saw how screwed up everything was, but unfortunately he couldn't do anything for me either...so my case is getting escalated yet again...I'm expecting a call back from them in the next couple of days.
What I think happened is that the order got started under my XBL account, then I mailed my drive back, and then they redid my order (a couple of times) - but these new orders were set up so that they wouldn't send me anything until I sent my old drive back (but my old drive was sent back under the previous order, so...)
It seems that the supervisors and the normal call center guys aren't even in the same building...I wonder how their customer service is really structured.
EGM92 said:I have to warn you before you get even more pissed... there's VERY little to no chance someone "higher" up will call... I know they told me the samething around Dec7th I completely disregarded the comment. You finally snapped also, join the club!
The Supervisors seem to be on a different level then the floor level where all the CSR's are. Sometimes they transfere you and you can't hear anything they're saying because you can hear people taking calls in the background, then there's other situations where everything is VERY quiet and things are calm which is probably being taken in a higher level.
During a lot of my calls when they put me on "hold" just don't put me on hold, they accidedntally put me on speaker. I stay completely silent, I can hear some REALLY nasty stuff in the background from multiple conversations. Then I sneeze or clear my throat and "...OH SHIT!" *bang bang bang click *Music starts playing :lol

Argyle said:Hehehe, guess who didn't call yesterday (which, of course, was 48 hours since my previous call)?
Guess I get to call back on Tuesday and get transferred to another supervisor who can't help me, then wait for another phone call that won't happen![]()
Your fulfillment issue's been escalated via both primary call centers at this point, so I would hope there'll be some followup on either recovering your existing drive or replenishing with a brand new one shortly (which I think is more than reasonable given the delay).Argyle said:Hehehe, guess who didn't call yesterday (which, of course, was 48 hours since my previous call)?

Unfortunately we're at the mercy of the service center when it comes to escalations for missing hardware and while the call center has remained open with extended service hours over the holidays, the actual repair center where your hard drive is has been closed off and on.

Same problem, I think its a problem with the game. Like the controller centers itself everytime you hit pause.Xenon said:Every once and a while in Zuma the control goes nuts and its impossible to anything other than flip directions. I hit pause, go back and everything is fine.

EGM92 said:If moving the cord fixed it... it's a temp fix cause I did it with mine eventually my console burned out.
Argyle said:No phone call yet. I suppose I should have called today, but you know what, this is the last week of my vacation and I guess I didn't feel like burning yet another hour of my day on the phone with them.
I'll probably try to call them yet again tomorrow![]()

Turned on, no video or audio

I got my console back today, and was very surprised as it was a completely new unit. For those who sent theirs back, have you found they replaced yours or fixed it?

I wouldn't really call it an accident at this point. Pretty much everyone I've seen (via messageboard) that has sent in a 360 sans HDD got a new one with a HDD. Seems like standard procedure.shantyman said:I don't think they intended to send me another hard drive- it was an accident.
ballstategamingking said:I just got my 360 back today. Im letting it warm up now, it was freezing it must have been cold on the DHL truck. Anyway, I got a new (refurb) system, but no extras like some people. I might call customer service and say something politely to see if they will send me some freebies. But I will post again after I test it out here shortly
ballstategamingking said:Well I watched the Rose Bowl then decided to play some madden online on my new console they sent me. I hooked it up and immediately got the three red lights like on my original. I called support and they are sending me a new box to send it back. When is this madness going to end. I also sent a very detailed and lengthy email to support via their website and asked what the problem was and how did they decide who to give the free stuff too. Lets hope my third Xbox will be the charm
Make sure you send in the power supply if you've got a recurrence of the "three red lights" issue on your console. More often than not that's the root of the problem for persistent occurences of this issue. Chances are your new console's fine and the P/S is the problem.ballstategamingking said:Well I watched the Rose Bowl then decided to play some madden online on my new console they sent me. Ive already called a couple more times just to complain, they seem nice about itm but ive been very courteous so hopefully they will throw in a free hdm or game, or tshirt or something

ZootedGranny said:Well, after having zero problems with my 360 for the few weeks I've had it, today, the day I get my HDTV, it decides it wants to lock up during games, both disc based & marketplace demos. I can still eject the games and power down the system, but that's it. No flashing lights, its just as if the game stops playing. And both the system and power brick are completely cool.
What a searing pain in the asshole.

rod said:just wanted to say, if you get the 3 flashing lights (top left, bottom left bottom right) ALL IS NOT LOST, i know sometimes your console will HAVE to be sent back to microcock, but what i did after that night of horror with the 3 lights, i left it near my air con vent all night, and unpugged everything FROM everything, power socket, psu, 360, everything. stretched out all the cords overnight too. since then, i woke up the next morning and got the lights again and thought oh well its fucked again. so rebooted and then it started working! and since then its been working fine, had long sessions on rr6 and condemned, no worries at all. so hopefully it gives some people hope that 3 red lights does not=instant doom!![]()
I'd like to say this is a rare mistake, but sadly it isn't. Thankfully, there's a quick fix solution... simply recover your account onto your newly received X360 and you'll be fine. It can only be associated with one console at any given time.ChrisReid said:Now when I opened up the new unit, I heard some rattling around inside, so that scared me. The worst thing is that they didn't even wipe the hard drive though. I've got someone else's Live (Silver) account on it, and I can still log into it, see their custom pictures and savegames, etc. Was this just a rare mistake? Will someone else get my hard drive, log into my Live (Gold) account and start playing?
EGM92 said:Stretching the cords is a temp fix, I know I used to do it, it even burned out my first X360 which made my room smell like burned silicon for hours, you can check somewhere on my previous posts I wrote about it. You have a faulty Cord/PSU like many others do the problem will only get worse, I had it working with the cords scretched out for a couple of hours, in a position/place that no one would touch it, played some PD0 then it just locked up my screen went blue with black stripes and the console died. No one touched it, it just died. Be very careful.
