LMAO. But Hello Games is trying to keep the game from being spoiled

Somebody on here who got the email already said the embargo is release day at midnight. So take that for what it is worth.

99% of planets in No Mans Sky will never be seen. Please don`t spoil that 1%.

Because that is the only thing that can be spoiled, right?

Why do gamers act like review embargoes, no pun intended, are alien, and never done with games?

Peeked into this thread seeing as I'm on media blackout but good to know it's as toxic a NMS thread as any we've had on Gaf lol.

But why can't they do like Nintendo, putting embargo on what can be told or not
Like Kid Icarus Uprising
The reigning world champ of hyper-detailed Nintendo embargoes remains the one for last year's Kid Icarus: Uprising which includes such amazing guidelines as:

Powers
Cannot mention the exact total number of powers and the conditions to get each one.
and

Items
Cannot mention the exact total number of items and the conditions to get each ones
and

Can mention the Stand.
Can mention the Left-Hand play option using Circle Pad Pro.
Can mention the tutorial video guides.
Can mention setting options, except for hidden ones (Dialogue mute, Viridi's Menu Skin)
Nintendo also provided a grid listing all of the game's weapons. Those typed in green text were okay to mention. Those mentioned in red were not. (For example: "Viper Blade" was in green. "Crusader Blade" was in red.)
Reviewers were also not allowed to talk about 65% of the story (Chapter 9+)
