I could give a damn about the DCEU but to hell with Snyder and WB for screwing up all the goodwill Nolan and co did to bring the character back to the top.
I'm not a fan of Batfleck anyway so if he leaves this is good news, but having to find another actor and decide whether to continue a solo film in this extended universe or go rogue again is going to take a while.

That may be true, but I can't imagine being one of the faces of a botched franchise and facing some pretty harsh public humiliation for trying his hand at another comic book character is sitting well with him.

EH, in terms of look I don't think Affleck's Batman was particularly better or worse than any of the other previous Batman. I only I wasn't a fan of was the robotic Batman suit.
Cool fight, but isn't he straight up killing people? He let 2 guys get blown to pieces by a grenade. He also killed those dudes with his jet outside. I haven't seen BvS but I take it this Batman doesn't have a no kill code?
Considering that the best of his career has been either writing and acting in thoughtful character dramas with his best bud Matt Damon, or directing, producing, and acting in oscar nominated and oscar winning films, maybe he should take a hint that comic books are not for him? Lol.

BvS was good for that but Suicide Squad is just awful. I laughed almost the entire time I watched BvS but I just wanted Suicide Squad to end.

2. Acclaim is probably (slightly) more important to him than the money. Looked like he wanted to be a good Batman so badly but he's just surrounded by.... lol.
This 2. I mean X-Men has had some rottens in their lineup but many of them were pretty good too.

I haven't watched BvS, or SS...... But I don't blame him.
I don't rate Affleck much as an actor but if he wants to be batman he needs to be the one running the show as director from the start, his best work is when he's directing aswell IMO. Was pretty excited when he was directing The Batman.. but yeah.

Not saying they do. But being all doom and gloom over unsubstantiated rumors isn't exactly beneficial. Everyone acting like WB is some kind of failed studio need to gain some perspective. A bad start to a young franchise doesn't mean they can't right the ship.
I tried to do that for BvS but only one part made me legitimately laugh:
"Martha won't die tonight..."
I lost it at that, but was miserable for the rest of it.

I feel bad for Ben affleck, he was a decent batman in BvS.... But the writing was just terrible.

Might have been a great Batman performance but it doesnt make up for the horrible movies. If Justice League sucks I would want out too lol. WB cant force a DCEU movieverse, they need to actually do some work and make a great movie first. Aside from Man of Steel, which wasnt stellar to begin with, they havent brought anything to the table worth a damn.
Maybe if they had wanted to do this when Nolan was making his Batman films they could have done something special. But now that hes done, they need to find someone that actually has a good vision and story in mind instead of just trying to rush these shitty movies out asap.

I've resigned to not seeing Helena(either) or Kate Kane in movies.
But Dick, Jason and Barbara absolutely have to happen for a DC universe to be legitimate.
Tim, Cass and Steph need to happen.

but really from an aesthetic perspective you will never see anybody better than Ben Affleck in that bruce wayne 3 piece suit. not even Jon Hamm.
He looks like Cary Grant on Steroids which is exactly what the ideal look is for a lot of these characters tbh. he's the best looking Matt Murdock too.
