Sounds like something that could make me cringe.
It's drawn by someone who basically combines the art of BLEACH and One Piece together. The fanbase often laments that the person's true talent probably lies in drawing straight up porn instead.
I find the show rather amusing in a simple sort of way. It definitely doesn't take itself too seriously (most of the time) and has great comedic timing in spots.

So yeah, Tokyo Ghoul is still censored like all hell. And since it's a show about cannibals it's super obnoxious. I hope when it eventually airs on Toonami, since its prime real estate among casual anime watchers, they air the home releases.

It's from the guy that did Rave Master, which was 100000000000000x better than Fairy Tail could ever hope to be. Rave was cool, but Fairy Tail feels like a Jump marketing team came up with the premise and plot.
Also, The Guardians of the Galaxy was fucking awesome as all holy shit. You guys gotta go see it. That is all.

it looks like it could have a hilarious dub.
it's a bit unfortunate that we seem to have a lot of strong Toonami contenders this season but they're all kinda.....meh. Akame ga Kill is from the same cookie cutter drawer as Blue Exorcist only with some crazy depraved shit once in a while, Tokyo Ghoul is better but still just ok, Aldnoah Zero hasn't lived up to its pedigree. Terror in Resonance is good, but while i'm aware we're talking about the network about to air Black Jesus i'm not sure its subject matter would fly.

Heading to yet another anime con this weekend. It's very low-key and there's only one guest I'm interested in (provides a voice for one of the characters on AoT). I'll get the signature and pic, but they won't be posted. No point in showing off one signature unlike last time. This will just be the start of a long process of getting more signatures to fill one single page which will take me months. If all should go well, there should be at lease eight new signatures (few more well known than others) and I would have to wait until sometime next year to get most of them. So there you go.
I should probably give it a chance. I've heard plenty of "things" regarding some of the porngraphic material among other arguments that it's not all that good. But it never hurts to give things a go and qualities of anything good or bad are often slightly exaggerated on

Edit: & how could I forget the Boing Chop. & yes, despite the video being subbed, while slightly edited, this DID make it into the dub.
I never finished Rave Master but it was definitely more interesting in pretty much every way. It's more like Mashima had a plan with Rave Master and it worked out, but with Fairy Tail he started with a general concept and made the rest up as he went along. There are some good ideas in there, but they all seem to be drowned out by copious amounts of fan service and anime tropes that they never really shine through like they do in other long running series.
I'll be seeing GotG this afternoon after work. I've heard good things.

Not sure. I read the manga but stopped picking up the volumes ages ago, well before it finished its release in the US. I can't remember why I did, but I think it might have been the inability to find newer volumes at the time

Edit: Wait, a new Digimon series that reunites the cast from season 1? Alright, I haven't seen Digimon for a long time, the last being a decent amount of Season....4, I think (that was the one with the girl named Zoey & the fat kid who had the crush on her, right?), but I'm partly interested to see how this turns out. I remember part of the reason I got out of Digimon was because after season 3, they stopped airing it on Fox Kids, so I had no method of watching it anymore.

The original series teases a relationship between the male and female lead, and its a minor plot thread in the us digimon movie and in japanese digimon movie 2 our war games.
Then time skip to season 2, female lead is now randomly in a relationship with the secondary male lead (and rival to main male lead) despite the two having almost no scenes together in season 1 and having no on screen chemistry at all in their few scenes together in s2.
Though to be fair in the season 2 epilogue I thought the only confirmed relationship was Ken and Yolei?
Nope, Matt and Sora are married and have two kids in the epilogue.

The problem with season 2's epilogue is that it pretty much eliminated any possible ability for their to be another story in the series because EVERYONE had a digimon partner and everyone helps protect both worlds. In theory this series COULD still happen, but it would have to have a very good reason why the 02 cast along with other characters don't take part in the adventure. I feel like this series will either retcon the 02 epilogue (effectively removing the Matt x Sora ending) or be a different time line/continuity where 02 didn't happen at all and the digi destined still hadn't seen their digimon partners since the finale of S1.
As far as I know, Saban owns the dub rights to Digimon. It will most likely air on Nickelodeon.
Where Nickeldoen will fuck it sideways.
Then it will air on its sister channel Nicktoons, where DBZ Kai aired. Meaning it's not in as many homes.
Though a better dubbing company should get it... I tried watching the Xros Wars dub. Noise noise noise NOISE
