Yeah! I saw Event Horizon for the first time last halloween in the best way possible - in a room full of 6 of my mates with the lights off taking the piss the whole way through. When that black guy comes back with the boosters we nearly wet outselves laughing and cheering. That film is so bad to have so much respect but we enjoyed the experience.

We also watched Suspiria that night and hell yes, that is also a film you need to watch with your friends sight-unseen. It is bewildering and hilarious.
Watch horror films with other people? But then there's not a single chance it'll scare you.

I hear Suspiria is meant to be a genuinely terrifying film. Wouldn't want to watch that with anyone other than myself in the middle of the night and all lights off.

And yes, Cooper was a horrible character. Awful stereotype that belongs in the blaxploitation era.

I wish there were Chinese subtitles for Stephen King's IT because I really want to watch it with my girlfriend. Part 1 is the scariest thing ever made IMO.

Suspiria is really not scary. It is however strikingly beautiful, nonsensical and utterly hilarious. It has a literally insane soundtrack, terrible dubbing and pink EVERYWHERE. It's great if you have a room full of stoned people with no idea what to expect.

The DVD comes on a doubled sided disc, and there's a couple of reviews on Amazon that say "Huh? This is only half the film!"

Guys what's your opinion on Fohawks on girls? I'm getting mixed reviews in the post pics of yourself thread :/

I quite like it. I see it as one of the 'repertoire' styles. By that I mean that you include it in a rotation of styles you use from one 'cut'. Women that can pull off several styles are ace.

Your take on it is very good. What is your 'standard' style?

My hair is naturally very straight so I generally just have it down, side parting, side swept fringe

Double-sided DVDs, man, I haven't seen one of them in almost forever. I remember my Starship Troopers DVD was one of them... and IIRC the PC version of Star Wars: Phantom Menace was too.

I would have to fall on the 'nay' side, I'm afraid. I think it looks pretty severe. Clearly, given how Galvanise and I (and the thread itself) are so strongly divided, there's no right answer, it's just a matter of preferences.

Nice. Looks like you are able to pull off quite a wide range of styles then. Best way to be in my opinion - particularly if you are a lady with a varied wardrobe.

My 'base' style is to have it mid length at the back and half of the sides, slightly longer at the front side parts (these bits are straightened and hair sprayed slightly forward), then fringe straightened and off to one side.

Then I can vary it and just go for a quick and dirty messy style of it like this:

The awful fluff on my chin doesn't exist any more by the way. There is a story behind it but its so shit you wouldn't believe me, so yeah. Fuck that..

Bonus pic - Galvanise_ in his younger days with longer hair. This is actually a cut down version of my much longer hair.

Nothing wrong with girls sporting a fohawk. Gives off a great rebellious "I'm confident with myself" statement to others who have norm haircuts. We talking about having a fohawk for a night out or just general? Not sure how it would work in the workplace. If I was a manager I woudn't mind but I know certain places are iffy about alternative styles (which is wrong in my opinion).

Most of Warner Bros's earlier films on DVD were double-sided even if it wasn't needed. My copy of South Park BLU has the fullscreen version on one side and the Widescreen on the other side. No CD art though so it looks like a cheap copy :(

EDIT: ATTN Bassists of UKGAF, why is it such a pain in the ass to slap the A string? E is a piece of piss but I keep hitting the E whenever I strike the A. goddammit!! inb4gstringjoke

They're showing Jamie's 30 Minute Meals on TLC over here. It's a decent enough show, but all it does is make me miss having a decent kitchen. That and beef costs at least £1 per 100g over here.

Yeah, the no disc art was almost as bad as those cheap-ass clear-plastic cases they originally put DVDs in. I remember getting Twelve Monkeys in one of them.

In retrospect, DVDs had a harsh birth up until the PS2 gave it a kick in the ass.

So last night's The Thick Of It was the funniest thing ever.

"Brian Cox is gunna phone me and ask for the film rights!"
"What leak, what leak, WHAT FUCKING LEAK!?"
"No no no, what you are Peter is leak zero, it started here!"
I was in fucking tears.

Also Chinner you hilarious bastard. That post in the sex stuff that isn't as good in real life as in porn was poetry if a forum post could be such.

Mmmm, creamy chicken and mushroom with tabasco concoction.
Wish I'd made some pasta to go with this, but I'm already ingesting the lunch of Kings.

What a stupid question. I really want this job but Dishonored is a lot more interesting that these forms... I have a procrastination problem.

Putting together a CV for the first time. It's weird, I've been asked to put it together for the uni I've been at for the past few views and will be interviewed by people I know. It's odd. Good to get asked to do it, but weird. Cos most of the people I'd normally think of for references... are involved in this employment.

When keepin it real goes wrong. Very, very wrong.
Going to watch sinister today, Horrors are scary as fuck when seen at the cinema. (Not scary at all when viewing in a home setting.)

I'm completely the opposite here. I don't understand how people get scared when in a room filled with other people and giant green fire exit signs.

But at 1am, all lights off, and you're on your own in a creaky old house? That shit is scary.

I concur. It's slightly creepier at home.
