Jesus christ the vitrol from people on this is insane. Yes its a little frustrating that blindfire melees are OP but the game is still fun as hell. I'm sure they'll continue to try and balance it to make the game fun but Christ people, you don't have to act like ND is full of totally incompetent assholes who sit on their thumbs all day. These guys work incredibly hard to make this game and you treat them like shit.

mmmm you don't get it, the game was perfect back in July, we don't doubt ND talent, we're struggling to understand how and why the game changed so much and for the worse in 2 months.

My guess is that the closed closed betatesters chose it by playing fair. Once it gets out to the public, the most successful cheap tactic turns out to be the actual gameplay... probably they didnt see this coming this way.


But yeah, beta was near perfect aside from some animation issues.

yeah that's my guess too, in a controlled environment where players play fair and all of them aim and stuff the game is similar to the summer beta, but as soon as 2-3 guys start sprinting around blindfiring and abusing melee then chaos ensues making the game a joke and NOT fun.
 
I make it a point to taunt anyone who tries to ADS at me while I just charge up hip-firing and meleeing them to death...just to let them know you can't play the game that way, of course.

M9 seems to actually be able to hit people at range (so you can at least get an assist when someone else melees them).

on the one hand you want this thread to die and this game is a steaming pile of shit - so we shouldn't even discuss the game but then you're saying that everyone is entitled to their opinion...

its annoying to read and childish as I think ND did a great job with the game and its fun. And seeing how you spent that much time playing it to hit, level 35, I think its a bit disparaging condescending to then say its absolute shit. I certainly wouldn't spend that much time on a game that I think is absolutely shit.

my best score so far was 29-6 and in that game I decided not to go ADS (aiming) as if my L1 button on the DualShock 3 wasn't working, I just sprinted zig-zag style through incoming fire and blindfired / melee killed everyone with the obligatory kiss taunt after the proximity chat rage.

They changed alot of things that had no reason to be changed

you must suck then, getting to level 35 is just a matter of 7-8 hours sprinting around while keeping the finger on the R1 button and mashing square. And yes, the game as it is now is absolute shit, my opinion, don't like it? MOVE ALONG.

I didn't ask for it either but the majority had the voice and they spoke. To me it just seems like naughty dog listened. the comments that resonated with me the most about the beta was "it feels to floaty, fix this Naughty Dog". The slower paced speed felt like an uncharted game and sprint was actually useful for purposes other than run and gun.

ND listened to the wrong people, that's for sure. I don't mind the new speed, in fact I like it, I want to be back where I'm needed ASAP but what I don't fancy is the fact that while I sprint I can still keep my momentum and speed to do all kind of stuff (jump, roll, melee, zig-zag, shoot, whatever) even if my enemy is carefully aiming at me and hitting me. The lack of stopping power is to blame for most of the bs going on at the moment.

Some complaints are justified, though. Especially from people who've been with the franchise since the very beginning. You can't abandon the fans just to appeal to the wider audience. If you (practically) abandon the established fanbase, then UC3 would become the new Killzone 3.

words of wisdom, but which audience (no matter how wide it is) could want a game like this? playing this is fun for like two days, no more. Maybe coop will save the day.

I played U2 from the beginning closed beta but I'm not complaining like this. Yeah they are justified but some of the comments here have been embarrassing.

- 3-Team Deathmatch wins being counted as losses [10-3-11]

- Balancing issues with Sprint and Blindfire [10-3-11]

I was hoping for a decrease in recoil, but I'll take whatever I can get.

bububu the game is fun! and our complaints are childish! how are ND contemplating changes regarding blindfire and sprint? lol, I hope they just add stopping power, sprinting and blindfiring are right, using them to magically avoid incoming fire isn't.
 
I think this has been mentioned before but I really hate that treasures unlock weapons now. I seriously love the idea of randomly dropping loot so you can unlock something cosmetic that other players can see like a Fedora hat. But apparently that's not enough for someone at Naughty Dog. It has to unlock more balance affecting shit so that new players are at even more of a disadvantage. For fuck's sake, Elena's G-MAL has 3 mods attached and treasures don't even seem to drop half as frequently as they did in the beta. It's not like in TF2 where weapons are different but equal so they might do less damage but have a higher chance of landing a critical hit, they're just flat out better.

Also, the Kal-7 has ridiculous rate of fire, if you thought hipfiring an AK was bad you haven't seen anything yet.
 
Remember how OP Micro blindfire was at the start of the beta? Current sprint will get fixed just like the Micro was fixed so don't get all depressed, people.

the treasure businessisn't so bad. There's a booster that lets you find more treasure. And then theres a booster that lets you share your buddy's treasures. 1 ups your chances by a marginal percentage - the other practically gives you a 100% boost if your buddy gets a treasure. Someone I played with today had that booster and I got 2-3 of his treasures which was a delight.

if you see someone sprinting at you while blindfiring a Kal-7 you know you're dead... yep, you're dead. Don't even bother to blindfire back, if it happens that you survive then the player using the Kal-7 must have a defective PS3 or controller.
 
I went to two subways and both has no codes on the cups or chips or anything. How do I know which subways is doing this?

Yeah, most of the time when someone says blind fire they mean hip fire. I think its because the former is barely used in multiplayer.

blame ND, they merged both blind and hip firing into one term, just blindfiring. Look at the loadouts and on-screen tips and you'll see what I mean.
