I noticed that too! Bummer. I loved the airstrike.jett said:Why was the helicopter removed from High Rise? It was one of the highpoints of the map

C'mon, son. Prioritize.
I do. I hope there's a hell of a lot more clothing pieces in the final game.jett said:Anyone else think the clothes for the custom hero are kinda lame? There's no configuration I like.

There was actually a lot of different pieces in the beta that aren't in this version so I expect to see some, especially for the story characters since you could unlock things for Nate in the beta too.gibration said:I do. I hope there's a hell of a lot more clothing pieces in the final game.
I agree with this. :3Darkatomz said:Highrise is kind of shitty. WHY would you only put a sniper on ONE side of the map? Why place a shotgun on the water tower instead? Why get rid of the Hammer and Mag? Why no level effect? Not to mention since long range gunfights don't happen anymore, the overall feel of the map is just boring.
Molten Ruins is ok I guess, but again, why get rid of the TBolt? That aside, the map looked better in the rain and dark.
So that's why you haven't been online for awhile. I always figured you liked it because of your positive posts in the past. You should at least give it another chance.Irish said:You know, I'm not entirely sure whether I've been staying away from U3 because of my busy schedule or because I'm just not as interested in what was offered as I thought I would be. :/

RyanardoDaVinci said:Lazy effort on Highrise and Molten Ruins, just cosmetic changes with very little (if any) geometry changes. I would have liked to see the two buildings on the east and west sides of Ruins have accessible rooftops. Didn't play Plunder on either of them but I imagine Heroes now have the clear advantage on both of the maps (thanks to just switching the bases on Ruins).
Unbalanced power-weapon spawns on Highrise -- yes, let's give the Tbolt only to the Villains. Unnecessary spawn changes on Ruins -- just swapped the Heroes and Villains starting spawns. Why?
Can't wait for how terrible Frozen Facility will be with everyone BS'n in the pipe room.
Everyone else seemed like they were grinding towards a new level/more kills. Its fucking infuriating. I had 4 CAPTURE alone to the other sides 2. The 35 on our team would just camp the idol, threw it towards their direction twice in order to further camp them, AND blew me up with a nade when I tried to cap the last one. They came back since my team just DMing them instead of going for the Idol. I wish I could vote to kick people. AFKs, douches like that, and what not. F^** this.
That's why I wanted to add gaffers to my friends list so I don't have to deal with it. I had one game where not ONE single person went after the points on Chain Reaction yet the other team was even worse because they let me get all the points by myself killing them two at a time and that was the only resistance. It's really sad that games aren't about winning anymore. It's like being on a basketball team where no one wants to win but work on their own personal stats so they look good. The whole purpose of sports and even MP games is to WIN, otherwise what the hell is the point of competition?exarkun said:I'm about to give up. Hell, it's not even about being good in the objective modes. As long as you have support going after the objective, it makes a huge difference compared to the guys off in their own little areas trying to rack up kills. If there's another body there to keep fire on the enemy and take some of the damage instead of all of them shooting at one person, then it's a lot easier to succeed. Especially if I were to die but knew I had more teammates on the objective to capture or defend it.Darknessbear said:Yea, I'm down with playing with some gaffers. Also, I just looked at the leaderboards. I only have 51 kills, and 35 deaths now. :lol
I assume this happened to everyone who played today, because of the update?
Boombloxer said:Plunder on the high-rise is easier if you're the heroes--1 good toss can get it depending on the treasure spawn.
Ruins is still the same, that open placement is a death sentence. Waaay too many options to shoot the carrier.
RyanardoDaVinci said:If they wanted the map at least somewhat balanced, the Heroes chest would be over by the Helicopter and the Villains would be over in the graveyard, but noooo... keep the same shitty shit...
Sometimes, yes. It's not as prevalent as it was at the beginning, but you still find it at an obnoxious rate. Especially in places like the middle tower in Syria, where the RPG spawns next to a treasure chest.ToyMachine228 said:So I just saw the "don't fucking aim" video. This is a great post. UC3's Spray and melee really reminds of GOW shotgun battles. If you keep your distance you'll hardly ever encounter them. Just as you said the more and more you play the less people seen to be using it. The MP is turning out to be a rather enjoyable experience now.LowEndTorque said:This is what it boils down to for encounters where you are 1-4 feet away from your target. Blindfire + Melee is the core mechanic for super-close range firefights in Uncharted. It is a valid mechanic and makes things more interesting than the simple one-hit melee kills that you find in many other games.
For this to work as a sole strategy though, you need to actually get close to your targets first, which isn't easy against smart/good players. The longer I've gone in the game, the less spray and prayers I see. Just learn the maps, play smart and pick your battles. Engage at the distance that's comfortable for you and you won't have many problems with spray n' prayers unless they sneak up behind you.
Rewrite said:So me and two buddies had the worst and most bittersweet Plunder match ever. We got paired up with a party of Level 35's who just farmed for kills in Plunder. You can tell they did this because when you looked at each of their stats, they had like 2k kills and like 100 deaths. Anyway, we were a party of three against a team who just treats Plunder like Deathmatch. We kept dying and dying trying to advance the idol to our treasure base and we were just about to fucking quit cuz we weren't having it. Then slowly, we kept clearing out the campers in our base and managed to score once. Me and my friends let out a big sigh of relief knowing that we managed to score one and if they wanted to win the match, they had to score one too. They tried advancing it and we did exactly like they did, camped in their base and killed them as they tried to advance the idol. At one point, they were close to scoring, but we managed to get the idol out of there and advance it to our base. So another 10 minutes of deathmatch pass by and we got another opportunity to score! So it was 2 vs. 1 now. I think the idiots realized they wouldn't win so they stopped going for the idol and just went on a killing spree. We ended up winning the match and I felt VERY proud for me and my friends that managed to score 2 points on these fucking assholes ruining this mode. One guy had like 54 kills and like 10 deaths...that's how bad it was for us. Regardless, they fucking lost and we won and I don't give a fuck if they got all those kills. I saved the cinema file too.
Naughty Dog really needs to do something about this shit because this is like the worst experience people can get when it comes to this mode.
Dunno, I've only seen up until DD, even in games where we were steamrolled. I thought there were only 3 powerplays.Mikey Jr. said:Powerplays go in this order.
1) Marked Man
2) Exposed
3) Double Damage
4) ???
Anyone ever get a chance to see what is after double damage? Does it go back to marked man? Or is it impossible to get past 3 somehow?
