Revert back to the beta. Seriously. Were there any complaints about the beta gameplay?

Everyone was complaining about sprint in the beta. Not that it wasn't fast, but I thought it was too sluggish changing directions. So far, I think it's much better in the final version.

Now it's stupid fast and has perfect mobility. It's ridiculous. The spring in the beta needed some intelligence to be used properly. Sprint today is just broken.

I think this may have the best music in any online shooter I've ever played by far.

This.

And the attention to detail in Dessert Village is just mind-boggling. Best looking map i've seen in a long, long time.

how do you mute people?
Select them from the list and press X.
It's weird that you don't get a volume icon when people are speaking. You can't find out who's talking unless you try to mute everyone.

Oh that is for sure. The texture detail in this game is almost too high for the resolution it's running at. :lol

Uncharted 2 had this. The beta had this. Are we still testing stuff? I thought this was the final version.

You did!

I was glitch321, had no clue what was going on lol. Had the gmal but everyone was AK + melee. So I had to switch to that. Didn't expect things to be so hectic lol.
I'm still adjusting to the new gameplay. The game is considerably faster, and my tactics from the beta don't seem to work well. I still die a lot.

WTF has ND done?!? The beta was perfect, who told them to make a game breaking change like this?????

Seriously disappointing...

Do we know how all the beta unlocks will be delivered? There were a couple of things for retail - decal packs, an avatar, a treasure pack and a chunk of in-game cash for doing various things in the beta. Are these going to be dropped on release, or do we get them in the early access?

It's amazing how much I completely forgot how to play in the short time since the beta ended.

I played the beta non-stop and felt like I was pretty damn decent at it by the end. Now I'm a complete disaster. Hitting L2 to try and take cover and accidentally tossing grenades, hitting O for fail melee attempts, hitting square to reload...geez. Totally learning how to play all over again.

Yeah this is a disappointing turn of events. ND just keeps changing basic fucking control mechanics. There's no trusting these people.

There was a huge uprawr about how the game was "slower" compared to UC2, so it sounds like they made it faster. How does the it compare to UC2?

Wow, this games multiplayer is very...smooth

Also ran into another Gaffer while playing, andrewpvs or something along those lines.

Just call me Andre, lol. What game mode was it? :)

It's nothing like Uncharted 2 MP/3 Beta. This is like... I dunno... God knows what ND is thinking.

Feels faster than U2, I'm cool with the default speed, but I'm not a fan of the sprinting now that I've had more playtime, too easy to use.

Can anyone pinpoint what exactly has been changed with the guns? Is it the recoil?

* adding comment for people afraid of spoilers - as its the MP game - its devoid of context and I don't feel like I'm ruining the game when I play it.

played til level 15 and I'm really liking the MP game. It feels like old Uncharted but it feels better. Played a few TDM and they were all seriously fun - didn't seem to be laggy too from my end. Didn't have too many wtf death moments and I'm loving it.

Plunder is a way superior game here. Its been so long since I played U2 MP but I'm struggling to throw the idol because the game is so hectic I can't wrap my head around how to throw it. Tips? I tend to just roll away or do a jump when I try to throw. That said, man, the plunder game in U3, is really fun and the people i played with all tried to score. Really good games.

As mentioned, it doesn't feel like there's too much health - in fact it feels perfectly balanced. At least its not U2, ver 1.2 where they had the game set up so that you died from like 2-3 shots which was just awful. pick up idol. can't even move. dead.

*
How do you get the subway hat +outfits in game from collecting treasure?

*
Um, the stupid train bit in the london level goes for way too long.

I honestly don't think it's the recoil, it's the mix of the recoil from the beta and the insane new speed causing the hit detection to be off somewhat or it might just be me laggin, I'm about to play a couple games now and we'll see if it was me being incompetent last night.

The most annoying thing about Sprint is how powerful it makes the Shotgun. That thing is a death incarnate.

I always suck when I start these things. I always forget what I like inverted and what I don't. Some kinds of games I like both while other kinds of games I only like 1. All sorted out now and I just need to learn the new maps.

Indeed. There seems to be this layer of grime and jank added since the beta. Definately feels like more of a hassle to play.

[edit]GGs last night btw, inanna. I was your buddy in a few of those games and was watching you stealth around and kill people when I was dead :D

UCOG lol.
I didn't do too good, though :(, you guys were amazing! And stealthing is damn near impossible now, you have to be on your feet constantly.

I'm shocked that you can't switch shoulders while aiming anymore. Have they really taken it out or is that just a glitch? And I hate that I can't play with Dan because it won't let him login as him in splitscreen.

Yeah more recoil but that's not the issue, the guns are fine; it's the sprint speed. It totally changes the game.

There's an option to turn that on.

when people say this. I will say... in my 3 hours or so of play. I've not ONCE been killed by a shotgun.

and um, not using the sprint much myself. And I can't say I've noticed sprinting. It feels like U2. And... one more thing. I tend to get killed by people using the AK or whatever gun they use - tend to be an aimed shot and I never felt it was unbalanced.

Also, because I haven't played the Beta, I'm loving the kickback system. Kickback ready (rocket launcher).. FUUUUUKKKKKKK YESSSSS

JB1981 said:
Biggest issue is hit detection. I can't hit shit, did not have this problem in the beta.
I find it very hard to tell whether I'm hitting someone or not. Unlike the beta.

Wow...

As someone who just came from playing uncharted 2 multi for the last month, I am not digging at all what ND has done so far with drake deception's multi. The sprint button is crazy extreme. It basically takes away all the tactics from uncharted 2 away. Even if you are behind cover, a guy running 20 yards away from you in the open has the advantage if he has a shotgun. Maybe it is my poor aiming and everybody being so damn good already, but the hit detection seems completely off compared to U2. Gone are the times of duck and cover tactics. They seem to be replaced by the run and gun blindfire craziness of COD.

I do enjoy the new stealth kill moves and I love the constant changing of the levels, but I'm not sure if I'm digging the level design/layout yet. The customization and upgrade options have obviously been fleshed out which is nice, but it makes me worry about how uneven this game will be for even first day purchase newcomers.

The faces seem to have gotten alot better since the last game. Sorry, these are off-screen photos, so the colors will be distorted somewhat. And this is MP beta, SP models could look even better.

There's a slight poly reduction for the MP game I think. Because Elena's hair normally looks better in the SP game.

How did you get those screens?

* I wish they'd play the voice when you pick a voice for the generic character.

The beta had specific impact sounds when your bullets hit the enemies, letting you easily and immediately know if your bullets were hitting on target. That has been removed.

From the cinema mode, but I couldn't find an option to take screenshots, so I had to take offscreen ones.

It's normal, the game plays quite differently. You'll get better in a few games.

The impact sounds also helped mask lag a bit, or at least diminish its presence because they made you feel like you were accomplishing something, moving towards the goal of killing a newb. You knew your bullets were doing fucking something. Now you have no idea. The GMAL is really annoying without this.
