Haven't seen any from U2
Yemen was snipe fest in the beta hope its different now

Got to level 10.

- Agree with kills being generally harder to get with every weapon - I think the default recoil has been increased on everything. I'm thinking it's because there's guns like (Eddie's AK and whatever) that have it increased, so vanilla guns have been made worse.

- Sprint definitely needs to be toned down - it's way too fast now - you can easily zoom in everywhere with it - climbing shit up and down.

- G-Mal is still 2 bursts to the chest to kill. I know this because I got a drop on 1 dude and carefully aimed my vanilla Gmal to his chest and killed him with 2 bursts. Range was mid-far.

Not really a fan of the London stage. The train part is cool at a first glance (especially with all the dynamic lighting/shadows) but it feels even more flimsy than the cargo plane segment. Also, I can't get over how stupid the level design is there, with the absurdly overdimensioned tunnel and the elevating train tracks at random.

So fucking hard to do on moving players though. I really enjoyed the beta more in this aspect.

Yea, once you shoot 1 burst, the aim goes to shit (much like every gun lol).

Yea, I think while cool these parts are going to get old fast. If I was Naughty Dog, I would implement a voting system similar to map vote that asked payers if they wanted to do the dynamic parts like the train and airplane.

The trains going higher and lower is cool - it makes things more exciting and dangerous depending on whether you're on the bottom or top train.

Really underplays the ranged game. Besides grenades, another very significant chunk of my deaths comes from people charging me while blindfiring the AK, and meleeing me. It's pretty frustrating and I'm not really sure what to do about it. Maybe I could stop them if my G-MAL worked....

edit - I should note that this I never, ever saw this tactic consistently work in the beta

Hm, interesting. Those are the only maps I've played as well. I wonder where people got this "Highrise, Faculty, Flooded Ruins" stuff from? Looks to me like Naughty Dog has limited this to 6 maps at the moment.

Datamining from the beta.

It's not to be trusted though. The Gears 3 beta had a list of 20 maps in it, which is almost certainly correct, but only 10 shipped with the game and the other 10 are probably going to be DLC.

Agreed. Can't wait until people unlock the other Ak-ish gun that has terrible everything, but highest rate of fire and blindfire accuracy. People gonna turn into bulls with those things lol

Maybe I'm just crazy, but it feels like they slowed the climbing down as a result of making Monkey Man a competitive MP booster. Don't really like that either.

meh I hated both of them in U2

As a side note, how great was it to hear Nate's Theme 3.0 for the first time? Really makes you realize how close the game is to hitting stores :D

Stats are up thanks to an all-nighter pulled by our in-house web dev, Jason. (sorry dude)

If you're logged in to www.naughtydog.com, you can check them out directly here:
http://www.naughtydog.com/stats/uncharted3/

Otherwise, you can navigate there from www.naughtydog.com home page and the multiplayer navigation item.

Take a gander.

Let us know what you think - here and we've setup a whole section on our forums if you're so inclined:

Some dev notes:
- Stats are definitely in BETA - some browsers may look funky (I'm looking at you IE)
- More stats are coming soon, over the coming days and weeks
- We'll be making a major iteration on the design and UX front by retail launch
- Stats will look weird if you don't have any games played yet

Enjoy!

Too much unpredictability eliminates the possibility of making good educated guesses and leads to more luck-based encounters with regards to positioning. Completely random spawns + big maps + near-limitless traversal routes + no map/radar = a clusterfuck.

Maybe fun if you enjoy that kind of mayhem, but I prefer something more strategic and controlled.

exactly my thoughts, later tweaks made the summer beta amazing but this build is ridiculously fast and unpredictable, people run through bullets and stuff, wtf why changing the gameplay when the beta was so good?

Using splitscreen why can't I use other profiles on my PS3 like I could in the beta? It says FoxGirl(1) instead of his ID.

i played it for a few hours last night till i reached rank 17, it was pretty awesome as expected.
ran into a few bugs though, and some parts of the new system took a while to get used to too.

all in all its great mp experience, as if the story wasn't enough to buy this day 1.

Is it just me or has the turning circle been increased from the beta? Maybe I'm just thinking in comparison to UC2.
And I was just reminded of one of my few major issues from the beta: too much shit. I don't care about boosters, mods and kickbacks. They don't make the game any more fun. I spent the $10,000 I started with on character skins. And then I saw the paid boosters in the lobby menu, which I'd forgotten about until then. Do they only appear when you reach a certain level? Anyway, apparently I have to be level 20 to even buy them. What sense does it make to give even more advantages to people who have played more and have the extra cash to spend?

By the way, this might not be multiplayer related but whatever.
Has it been decided who will make the Uncharted 3 OT? If so, who? Just curious! :)

Everything looked good so far. This is what Uncharted MP should be.

What happens when we go past level 35? If nothing unlocks past that, will all the unlocks from 36-40 just magically appear when I boot the game at level 40?

Nope. No XP is accumulated past 35, only cash.

Could we get an organized clan going, I want to play
using GAF as human shields
with astute and sensible gentlemen and ladies

Headshots aren't instakills. Easiest way to get kills in UC3 at the beginning is to pick the GMAL and be sure to put two full bursts into the torso.

Hit detection is the same as before, meaning it's really forgiving actually, and adjusts to your particular amount of lag to the detriment of whoever it is you're killing.
I used to WRECK shit with the Gmal, now it's worthless to me
Either I somehow went from a 3 kdr in the beta to a guy who barely breaks even, or something is very different. I hate measuring kdr normally, but I can't help but notice myself performing at a lesser capacity in this game. Gmal needs a slight accuracy boost. Thats just me. I do, however LOVE the M9. Shoots great and sounds great.

Every gun feels awful to me right now. I think I'm having slightly more success with the GMAL than the AK but overall I look like I've never played Uncharted before. Hopefully I can knock this rust off soon.

That AK needs a foregrip addon

I might start a group called "The People Who Wrecked Shit With The G-MAL In the Beta But Suck In Retail For Some Odd Reason Club".

I'd attribute that to the increased speed of the game. Auto-aim at long range seems to have been decreased so that might be the cause of your KDR woes as well.
