Uncharted 3: Subway's Deception Multiplayer Discussion [New Patch Released]

Highrise is camp central which always pisses me off no matter the game and to compound that it's set at night which is another annoyance. Not a fan of that map at all.
 
Highrise was pretty struggling to play , huh can't remember it in Uncharted 2, was it in a dlc map pack? I hope other U2 maps make it.

The new map today is a cool map, haha everyone made a mad dash to get to the top.

I still have hopes for another type like the plane/train maps
 
Plunder in the Molten Ruins can go fuck itself. The most bullshit spawns for the enemy in that map. Let's spawn them on the back of the hero's treasure box and let's spawn the heroes at the opposite side of the fucking map every time! Fuck the buddy spawning campers too. Plunder is broken on that map. Ugh.

They need to either add a Chain Reaction tutorial video that awards a bronze trophy after watching, or just get rid of it. I think maybe 5% of the people online actually understand what they are supposed to be doing, and it gets even worse when it occurs right after turf war or king of the hill. This is surprising considering is basically the same thing as "War" from Call of Duty, but that hasn't been in recent installments so maybe nobody knew what the fuck they were doing there either.
 
I still cant log out of Facebook, looked around and apparently there is no log out function. Besides this I can't find the XMB option to disallow game access people talk about. I've stopped playing cause of this dumb issue, FFS let me log out ND.
 
I just can't aim anymore. That's my my whole gripe. Watched some videos to upload to show people my frustration and noticed how much I struggle to keep that reticle still.

That's on your end. With the M9 I have no problem aiming anymore, I can even kill people at really long ranges.

same problem I had when I tried this game, which is a shame because in the summer Beta I was aiming great and getting tons of kills from long range to short range.

Exactly. Maybe its just too fast for me.

Also... I now have my brother rooming with me and since he's been leeching from my router, my internet has been slow. Just now I've had melee kills register long after I've died. Maybe that's the source of my problems?

i haven't played in a few days so it prompted me to download patch 1.01, but whenever i click
OK it goes to the "please wait" but then resets the PS3, i can't download the damn update

i've tried deleting game data too

HALP
 
So has anyone run into the stats reset after that patch? Hit 35 last night and want to play a little more but I'm worried about the glitch.

Try waiting 20-30sec before pressing OK, sometimes it freezes if you press quickly.

There have been no reports of people getting reset since the patch but just to be sure, never exit out to the main menu, always use the xmb to quit the game from the lobby.

yeah i remembered it, stupid little bug about patches freezing if you dont wait for the hdd led to stop blinking. thanks
 
Screw this, I'm back to UC2. The shooting is so much better and there is no sprint/blindfire/melee crap. I tried using that strategy just to see if it worked and I got my ass kicked.

Just noticed that bullets actually have stopping power in UC2. Another thing which prevents the sprint/melee from taking over.

They're okay. I like Yemen and Airstrip the best. London and Syria are just really terrible. Uncharted 2 had such fantastic map design, one of the main reasons it had such lasting power for me. Well that and the distilled, simple but excellent core gameplay.

Haha that really encapsulates the problem. The hip fire, melee power, and overabundance of grenades are my main issues right now. I'm still having a lot of fun with it because I love how Team Objective is a quicker version of "Warzone" but it reminds of MW2 where there are a few very obvious problems that need to be fixed before it can be great. Since Sony is unlikely to be kicking out half of Naughty Dog four months after release, this game could eventually turn into an awesome MP experience. Sadly, MW2 is still what it always was, minus the dual 1887s and care package glitches.
 
Jeezus. I might have touched upon it before, but Hardcore is just really messed up.

So the GMAL is essentially worthless in this mode. Why? Because it takes 4 bursts (not 3) to kill someone. This, coupled with the part where it's still pretty hard to take someone down at a distance, means it's very easy to spend the entire mag killing just one person (if you're lucky). Of course, this is a problem with all guns, since I'm pretty sure everyone has increased health in this mode (I think it takes 3 melees? I don't know about the AK or M9 since I can't aim well with those weapons).

Result? My default loadout for HC is the sniper. It still only takes 2 shots to kill. But, this brings me to a whole new set of issues, as I never knew that making fine adjustments while aiming with the sniper is COMPLETELY screwed up due to auto aim heavily slowing down your aim speed. Oh, and this happens when you move your crosshairs over teammates too. WTF?


And have I mentioned before how hard it is to get treasure drops in Hardcore? Oh wait, I have. Doesn't help that 80% of them are fucking Subway shits.
 
The only time i blindife on principle is when in cover or when i notice someone following me i'll hide behind a corner/pillar, switch to the trusty old micro and ambush them. Aiming in any other situation.
 
Its crazy because aiming in U2 is 100% necessary for success. I hope they realize that something that takes more skill should be rewarded, not punished.

Today I ran into this situation.

Blindfire + punch > Aiming + punch

It killed me to see that happen, this guy is running right at me, I'm filling him so full of lead he might as well be a pencil (from the 90s). He's blindfiring, bullets are all over the place, we both punch at the same time - he wins and lives. So aggravating.
 
I dunno, recently I feel like the AK was better than the M9 in some games. And the gmal (did I spell that right...) was working better on highrise.
 
Am I the only person on this planet that still thinks aiming is a hundred times more useful than hipfire? Yes hipfire is good and buffed from U2, but to say that to be good at this game all you need is hipfire and melee is laughable. Then we have the Kal7 or whatever that is basically blindfire only gun. I don't use this gun at all. If you think going 15 and 15 is good pick this gun. I'd much rather use the AK and go 15 and 4 on average.

So I played the new levels after not playing for a couple of days and I still like them. I think Molted ruins is cool, and while Highrise is cool (especially withe the newly added ziplines), I still prefer the stage set in the day. Also I think it's really cool that Highrise has a lot of propane tanks. Most stages have 1 or 2 but Highrise has like 7 or 8.

Also the grenades not exploding glitch is really starting to get to me.

Why are you still using a weapon that isn't the M9?

More like 23-8 if you know what you're doing; most people don't though and think that the gun will do all the work for them, but when you put the Kal in the hands of a skilled player, you'll have a hard time taking them out consistently.
 
So I see grenades are having a wonky attitude eh?

I mean, grenades disappearing to appear somewhere else and explode.

Grenades beeping for 3 seconds on the ground, to explode afterwards

Grenades killing after the next respawn.


What happened here?
 
Still can't believe they haven't patched the game up to make it as good as the summer Beta, they need to do the patch in time for the final release or else people who buy U3, will be turned off by the multiplayer straight a way, the multiplayer needs to be on point on release.

I can't believe how stubborn ND is being.

If they still have the values and settings saved from the end of the beta then a simple copy and paste should fix everything and make everyone happy. Do they even listen to their fans?

Yep, thats why I am being so vocal because I care about the multiplayer so much, this was going to be my go to multiplayer game, and I enjoyed the Beta so much. I want all the fans to be vocal and get ND to just patch the the game to how the Summer Beta was (with slight modifications obviously), we need to harass ND on Twitter, official forums and etc until they patch this shit up as I want this to be on point on release day.

I can get pull downs kick offs easily, maybe its timing, but I guess its a known issue. I cant kill with melee though, other characters seem stronger or something.
 
The summer beta was probably the best multiplayer experience I've ever had in a video game. All it needed was a few very very microscopic tweaks. I'm in utter disbelief at how they completely destroyed something that was so close to perfection.

Harassing them will probably be much better use of our time then complaining in this thread. We have nothing to lose by trying. Let's get this shit going. We will harass the hell out of Bob Cogburn
