Uncharted 3: Subway's Deception Multiplayer Discussion [New Patch Released]

my impression after some matches:
+maps are great (except train station)
+Aiming speed is good
+health is perfect
-guns are useless
-sprinting +blind fire +melee
-fleet foot (you couldnt do that in the beta)
 
Danm, Just played a couple of games against Kittonwy and some other gaffers, damn intense shit, those guys are haunting the team Objective playlist.
 
All these demands for less health are the some of the dumbest comments regarding the MP. You're complaining because you can't make kills but if they lower the health, you won't be able to duck behind cover and run etc before dying (like it was at one point in the U2 game) nullyfying the whole point of UC's gameplay. Couldn't use cover, couldn't traverse in plunder. The health as is feels about right.

If you can't kill them fast, they also can't kill you fast. Its ridiculous the people playing poorly are the ones asking for less health

Play better.

When I play this, whether Im playing by myself or splitscreen, after a while my controller stops controlling my character and he just goes in the direction he was going until he gets stuck on a wall. When it happens in split screen, both characters do this at the same time. Is there something up with my internet connection? Is anyone else having this issue?

I get that almost every other match or sometimes in the menu. The buttons on the controller do nothing also.

Yea, that's what ruined U2.

...however, the health is not my complaint. The guns all have slingshot kickbacks that make it hard to actually control them. Health is fine. Guns/aiming is going to take some more getting used to.
 
Objective is, to me, where the most fun is at, even if the chain reaction spots are easy to remember and the king of the hill zones appear in the most difficult to access rooms (ie one of those rooms in Yemen that has only two ways to enter. Holding the treasure is a rediculous objective though, they should have resorted to making it like a mini plunder.
 
Insane health regen and pulled in camera are fucking annoying. I don't remember getting this fed up with the beta earlier this year. :\

I think they're speaking of Online co-op, like Arenas and co-op missions that were in Uncharted 2. That said, I don't have a second controller to check if splitscreen is in.

Same here. The beta was really fun, but this is just unsatisfying. The gunplay just isn't connecting with me at all.

Hmm the reaction to the changes seem overwhelmingly negative. You have to wonder what feedback was taken into consideration to have the game be in the shape it's in. The sprinting + hip fire + melee is really, REALLY ridiculous. I liked the faster speed initially, but people picked up on how to break the combat with that speed VERY quickly. That tactic + grenades that still explode too quickly are turning the game into a third person melee/explosive game.

The UC3 Beta right after the changes to make the semi-auto pistol better and nerf the micro spam was almost perfect. It's still fun right now, but very easily made annoying when people start being cheap with the melee.
 
Got invited into a group tonight and had a lot of fun. Yeah, I wish things were toned back a bit to the way they were in the beta. Just a tad slower, just a bit more accurate, that hit sound...

Yeah, you guys are right. This thing is totally broken. I mean, look at that list I just made! If that doesn't say BROKEN, I don't know what does.
I know exactly what does. Freezes, inability to connect ever, lockups... oh, and thinking the game should be 10% slower.

Game is still a ton of fun.
 
I actually think grenades explode too slowly. Mine never seem to kill anyone - I'd throw it, itd land but everyone can scamper off... It only works when everyone's too busy with a firefight and/or picking up the treasure.

There is a 4 medal booster perk to make them insta explode. so I'm going to take from this grenades aren't too fast to blow up.

uncharted 2 party matching used to be able to go to next game with the same people but this one seems to lose that feature. I will pretty much always go back to looking for a new game all over again.

press triangle at the right time to throw it back. I've seen the "tip" but of course, who has the technique to do so in the frenzy. I should try it sometime.

Yeah, I did it a few time in the (first) beta. Haven't seen the prompt yet for this... thing... yet. Ok, if you say it's in there, I believe you. Didn't want to start running at grenades without knowing.
 
Couple thoughts:

+ very good level design
+ sound is great
+ love the treasure hunting aspect
+ when it clicks combat is very fun
- either guns need to be more accurate or players need less health. I don't want crazy fast deaths but ATM it's much easier to run around spraying with a tec9 and hoping to slap them in the face for a kill.
- there should be cosmetic items for the real characters.
- I thought guests would be able to log onto their accounts for split screen?

I got a code and downloaded an Uncharted theme... I did not see an option to download the MP game? I must have missed something... Now the subway code cant be used again so I guess I will need to get another code...

ND uh uh uh.... found a way. Seriously though, the speed needs lessened, the blindfire needs nerfed HARD. I shouldn't feel that it's a better tactic to just run and gun and melee that actually aiming my gun. I shouldn't be able to go 10-2 in TDM without aiming ONCE. I shouldn't feel that my pistol is just that other weapon to use for blindfire when I run out of rifle ammo.

Uncharted 2 was my most played MP out side of an MMO. Please ND, I'm pleading with you, change it back to the U3 beta mechanics and speed settings, fix the AK blindfire, and you will have a hit MP. I guarantee it.

This is the new AK47.

Huge spread. Huge recoil. Aiming it is hard because of the kickback.

Over any sort of distance, the ak47 is virtually worthless.

This is just one of many things.

You don't understand; we have to play for hours on end to unlock the ability to buy the things that make a weapon decent -- what, did you think we would just get competent weapons right out of the gate? What nonsense is that?!

Yeah, I honestly feel like I wasted my time going to Subway over this. On the flipside, this did reassure me I don't need to pick up Uncharted 3 right away. :\
