Is it? I suck at Gears 3 anyway. XD

I was thinking more of how long it takes to kill someone with a non active reload lancer vs an AK-47 in UC3. Well whatever. Two completely different games anyway.

Have you guys seen the footlong taunt? It's amazing, I hope you can unlock it in retail without the Subway code crap.
Also, does anyone else find the camera in odd positions where they can't see their character when they respawn? I got killed earlier when I didn't even realize that I had respawned because I couldn't see Sully.

After spending some time with it, I'm at level 12 and I think I'm enjoying myself. I'm not really sure because UC2 felt better in many ways- and I keep comparing it to that. I seem to have some major trouble staying behind cover and aiming from a distance. I swear it was definitely easier to kill with an AK from a medium distance and that run+blind fire/aim in circles+melee strategy that most use when you're aiming down the sights.

Regardless, the maps feel a lot more open- which is nice. But some respawns (especially in Syria) were completely maddening- an enemy player seemed to be waiting there to kill anyone who didn't have a a buddy to follow. I love the sprinting, and matches feel very quick. But I think I'm done with Team deathmatch for a bit, those 1/1 ratios that I keep getting seem pretty subpar.

Yep it really is.

The high recoil + low health + fast player movement
makes it feel like kills come down to luck.

if they want to appeal to the casual crowd then that is not something that will get them to stick around for long at all. Especially when people that play alot of games are having difficulties. They will be left with nobody quick.

I can understand why they increased the movement speed because the maps are pretty big
and it does help you climb quicker and move around which is a good thing because it encourages traversal gameplay.

All they need to do to fix the game it is buff health, increase accuracy which will make the gunplay feel alot better.

Reducing sprinting speed / duration / fleetfoot, and reduce melee damage should reduce the "auto aim spammers"

they're gonna unlock more maps this month, hopefully they can bring out a patch or something.

if they still have the beta build back there somewhere, they should be able to just revert back to that right

from health is way to high to health is low

What the hell is going in here @_@
That's because the problem is not health. People try to justify their (not as pleasant as the beta, in most cases) experience by trying to find an explanation, but it doesn't mean their conclusion is correct.
I would, for instance, put most of the blame on weapon handling: too much recoil, too little accuracy. If your shots are accurate, the opponent dies in no time (health seems too low). If they are not, it takes ages to kill anyone (health seems too high). In both cases, it doesn't feel very satisfying, it feels like you're fighting *something* while playing, which diminishes the overall enjoyment.
Of course, without knowing exactly what was changed, it's hard to tell.

Yep, this is the reason. Hopefully, I'll adjust fast.

so have they turned this game into a call of doody wannabe then?
No. And that's why people has been crying.

Seriously, they just need to nerf a few weapons and we're set. It's way fun than U2 multi.

This.

So apparently you can take on missions to earn extra money in the Records tab.
Also lol at Kal-7 in close quarters.

Beating your head against the wall is probably more fun than the current status of U2 multiplayer, which is extremely sad considering how much I used to love it :(

Anyone here know what the level cap is on the full MP. I know that atm its 35, so is that close to max?
No idea, but I would be surprised if the cap was less than 50.

you can look at how much things cost in the menu. the taunt is $200,000

Reverting back to the beta would have to be a miracle.

They won't.

If they did, in their minds, they would think that people are thinking ND has no idea what the fuck they are doing. I would forgive ND if they did it and not think lesser of them at all. But I have a feeling this is going to be the new U3 mp, albeit with some minor tweaks.

I suck at this game, in the Beta I was one of the top players, but now I completely suck. I just can't aim as well as before and when I do aim and shoot properly it takes too long to kill the enemy.

Locked while trying to join a party....ehhhh. This feels more beta-ish than the actual beta. :P
How is the beta after a couple of games? I remember having almost exactly similar impressions as you over the U3 beta, has it changed since?

This game is not fun! I've been playing it for twelve hours! I can't believe how unfun this game is! I'm only going to play until the level cap and until I unlock every last thing, but I'm not going to have any fun while doing it, I can assure you of that. I wish I could somehow not play this game, or that some scientist could create a way to play another game instead, something I could have fun playing. I wish we lived in that world. That beautiful, beautiful world, where a person could play games that were actually fun.

I've never had so little fun playing a multiplayer game. Even those games where I played them for a few seconds and laughed at how terrible they were and then immediately stopped playing are better than this, a game I've been playing for nonstop for a day and a half. Why have the fun gods forsaken us!?

Got a weird bug yesterday. Spawned into a piece of cover, character just shaking, got the sunday stroll/marathon medals after 5 seconds lol

This beta? I don't like it at all.

Sarcasm?

Apparently this game is now locking up whenever I join a party, any party, even it's from the matchmaking...oh well.

That bug is STILL in? It happened all the time in Uncharted 2 as well! :|

Same here, tried again 5-6 times. Sometimes it froze when i tried to bring up the triangle menu, other times it froze while i was joining a game.

Man what the hell is up with the matchmaking? I seriously waited for 15 minutes for it to find a game before just giving up last night.

And I agree with the health or whatever being way too high. It shouldn't take an entire clip to kill someone with an AK when I'm only a couple meters away from them. It's frustrating.

I haven't seen much people roll , something that I've seen 4684784754675 times in Gears 3 , if we are comparing Gears 3 , I'd say it's about the same, both games make me go "what the fuck" sometimes but I can still play it and have a good time.

I've gotten about 7+ kills every match now, a lot better then the first day, I love the M6 :D

I can't wait to see what else maps they got that are the same style as the airplane/train levels. Maybe a boat type stage, I want more of those maps

I discovered how you are supposed to play Uncharted 3.

This is not a joke. I tried this and it works.

1. Choose a full auto gun. M9 works well, by ak47 is good too.
2. DO NOT press L1 at any time. Use the little dot on your screen.
3. Hip Fire. Yes, just hip fire from the hip. As you get close to someone, start running around them in circles as you hip fire. As soon as you've done a little damage, melee them.
4. If someone is far away, sprint till you can get close, making sure to weave in and out. Repeat step 3.
5. Thats it. You have officially mastered Uncharted 3.

Everyone is playing this way. Why shouldn't you? This is the new Uncharted.

to make this even more effective, put on speedyg and sprint recovery boosters
ta-da

Yeah, sad to say but this is the way everyone was playing in my Plunder matches last night.

Played a couple rounds last night for the first time. Game made a rough first impression, but I'm certainly open to the possibility of such impression changing over time.

Player speed is unbelievable, people scurry around like rats, adding to the frustration of something feeling off in regards to gun recoil/accuracy. Para 9 has some ridiculous recoil, and AK47 seems only useful at close range.

I don't want the health to be lowered anymore, they need to try making the rifles more effective, fix the hitboxes and slow the game down slightly.

I'm playing it long-range style with the GMAL as I have done in Uncharted2/3beta and I'm still owning as usual.

I haven't played the new beta yet (downloading, thanx Mikey) but the hip fire/melee sequence was already very effective in the first beta.

I believe you. I would like to play against you in a match however. 5v5., You with g-mal, me with my m9, hip fire, melee.

So many improvements over the beta.

Aside from balance tweaks, this is a polished, Gold form. Can see why they were itching to get it in their audience's hands a month early. Subway moneyhats are probably comfy too XD

gg ND, again

Yeah, pretty much ... what a shame.

I will now go and try this with an M9. If this works for me as well as describe here I'm going to be super sad.

Honestly I think it might just be a personal issue with me. I cannot physically keep up with the pace. I just panic and start spraying all over the place, it's pretty much the reason I don't play shooters.

Just had the most awful game. This blows. :|

Wow, once I was the pessimistic one. I had awesome games! Especially in the London Underground - that must be the best map ever created. And not because of the in/on train section - but the space at the end.

Its all about the M9 in this game, screw the AK. Then turn on fleet foot. Thats when it all turned around for me. Boom, then you get actually aimable aim (no extreme recoil shake) and can actually evade/move during aim. It rocks.

Edit: I don't ever melee now - its not worth it to me. Just go in, spray and spiral out.

The health is a tad too high, but not by much. Uncharted multi is supposed to be very cat and mouse and it's hard to do that when you can die with two shots. So they can adjust the health, but they need to be careful.

The biggest issue is the introduction of sprinting. The game looks and plays like its in fast forward mode.
