lol that was great, i played again tonight and all of my treasures apart from 1 or 2 were subway related, one was a fucking sub in its wrapper.

is there something if i reach level 35? Like ''all your stats will be in the final versione of the game''.
then i hope that in the final version there will be more weapons.
and i saw that G-MAL has been nerfed. :'(

You keep everything regardless of level.

Kills obtained during Team Objective and Plunder games will not be counted towards the Competitive Kills Leaderboard for the full game release on 11/1/11. This will not be changed during the Subway MP Experience. [10-1-11]

hopefully it keeps the kdr whores out of objective modes.

They need to make it earn less cash and experience to keep the lvl up/bank whores too.

That's already in since Uncharted 2. You make a miserable amount of money from kills in any non-TDM mode. Why I personally don't agree with, the ones that defend the objective work as hard as those that go for it.

EvangM, or anybody else that's reading this from Naughty Dog, can you guys please try to figure out why sometimes if you have people in a party, the host gets into a game, but the other people in the party don't.

This issue was in the July BETA and still happens to me and my friend at least once during every play session.

Worst of all is that you don't know. On my screen it shows that my group is still looking for a game (Finding players), but in reality my friend who's the party leader is already playing in a game.

I'm just mentioning this because I don't see this issue being listed as "looking into" in the Information Post on the Naughty Dog forums.

It's why my k/d is so bad. I was the only one on my team trying to score for a few games and I was -100 on my k/d at the end of it.

EDIT: Oh, I had a great Airstrip match today. By the time the plane took off my team of randoms was up 18-0. We all worked together to take the plane then keep everyone off.

Is there a single rifle that is good, hell even DECENT at long range? This is what irks me the most. Even with the accuracy mod the G-MAL is just as useless, I can't even tell what changed.

AK47 with the accuracy mod is still balls.

I tried for like the first time in a long time to play "normally". So no KAL7 hipfire bullshit.

Just normal AK47, accuracy mod, and a para, while trying to aim.

Fuck, I sucked. Long range was worthless. Not even worth shooting the bullets. Shortrange, people were smoking with me with hipfire/melee.

Jeez, I've been grabbing treasures like crazy. Intentionally with the Treasure Hunter booster and all I get is the subway crap and the Philosopher's Memory sets.
Has anyone else grabbed anything else?
Are these held back on purpose?

I think with the accuracy mod, it's really not too bad, but I don't think it should come to having an accuracy mod to properly shoot down the sights. Yes, AK-47 is my weapon of choice and I do get success with it without blind firing. Just need to shoot in decent bursts (couple seconds at a time) unless you're pointing at the body in mid range, can probably just hold the trigger there.

I LOVE it when the music track (1:46) of the menu from the original beta kicks in. It gets me so fucking pumped! It barely comes on, but when it does, it gets me ready to start destroying shit.

Where did this some of these tracks go? I MISS them so much. I'd prefer those over some of those techno-y tracks that they added in.

I like the new stuff a lot, it was actually rather refreshing and surprising. Soundtrack is by far the best thing about the subway demo.

I was really looking forward to the early release of the full mp for U3 since the first beta was so awesome but sadly after playing for just a few hours or so I'm disgusted in the blind fire fest they call a multiplayer. Recoil on all the guns make it nearly impossible to get kills from a distance. Skilled players that prefer stealth and aiming instead of spraying randomly n meleeing are punished because its vastly ineffective. I've had to change my tactics to spraying n praying just to get some kills which has drastically plummeted my KDR from 2 to a 1.22
Grenades takes at least an extra 2 seconds to explode which provides ample time for an enemy to roll or bunny hop away. I'm left trying to figure out which weapon I should use for my skill set when the G-mal(my weapon of choice) is soo slow, now takes 3-4 shots and recoil blows, M9 recoil blows, pistols are pea shooters, sniper takes 2 shots and again recoil blows. So melee whoring I go. The first beta was awesome, second sucks in every aspect. Naughty Dog changed everything WTF!! If we hadn't won the game I definitely wouldn't be interested in purchasing it. Disappointed to say the least...

you need to play the different modes, treasure sets are specific to plunder, tdm etc..

Agreed. Aside from the techno-stuff, the music that kicks in is amazing.

One thing my friend noticed is that for co-op arena...it seems like you'll be able to change difficulty. In one of the lists that has objectives for you to complete, it says, "completed a co-op arena mode on easy" or something like that. If you actually CAN change difficulty for co-op arena, I am in fucking love with you Naughty Dog. LOVE. Please be true!

There once was a time when I'd have agreed. I was doing the spray n' pray melee thing, as well. Thought it was the only way to compete. Took some time though, and got used to the aiming. Doing long distance kills pretty fine, now. Closer range is a lot easier, of course. They want to spray n' pray me, I simply roll back, and they melee the air, while I slam a few more bullets into them and put them down.

I am doing much better this way than I was with the run and gun melee tactic.

The grenade thing still holds true, though. Of course like an idiot, I try and throw them back, but I just end up picking up the guns on the ground around the grenade. They really ought to change the throw back button.

So what's with xp still counting up at 35? Are we going to get "free" levels that reflect our total xp upon retail release? Like say instant lvl 60 provided you have the necessary total xp?

It looks like it. Friend of mine "unlocked" some additional guns and characters. He can't use them, but says they're unlocked.

The Harvest Cheddar Sunchips code is in the back of the bag inside a small white rectangle. There's no mention of the promo anywhere in the bag and if you knew nothing about it you would assume the numbers were some sort of manufacturing code.

When you enter a code that came from a purchase (Chip, Cup, Sub) you get a list of unlocks you can redeem your code on. All the codes can be used to redeem DLC, but the cup code is the only one redeemable for the MP preview.

It does? It won't let me go any higher than 695,800. At the end of every match my xp goes up but it resets back to 695,800 once I am in the lobby again so I am never really gaining any more xp.

What was it they changed with U2 MP that made everyone rage so much?

As I recall, they basically made everyone a giant walking head by completely changing the values of all hit-boxes to do as much damage as a headshot.

Before, there were separate hit-boxes for the head, torso, arms, thighs, shins and feet; after, a bullet to the foot did as much damage as a headshot. Yeah...

They made these changes because dumbshit players that can't aim or do anything other than hold the trigger down until something dies kept complaining that "People take forever to die!" and other such bullshit.

Of course, ND says that "This was our original vision for Uncharted multiplayer. The 2 betas and 4+ months of retail didn't count -- it's for realsies now."

They re-added the proper hit-boxes shortly after the shit-stain that was 1.05 but lowered overall health, making traversal and actually playing Plunder properly, near worthless.

its not the retail.

anyhow. didn't play the beta so when I finally got the MP game; when it booted up and the uncharted theme played - the first time? I got goosebumps. The music in the game is so amazing anyhow; all of it sounds thematically amazing.

this. if you read the treasure set description - it tells you what you unlock and which game types the treasures would spawn at.

well, ... yeah, you don't accumulate XP past lvl 35 - despite what seems to be the game giving you XP on screen. I finally caught on to it when it seemed to keep going up to 695k again and again. The bar fills up; but because you don't level up, it resets to whatever it was before.

so... disappointing!

I think I'm going to delete the Subway beta. Not really having any fun with it any more; everything devolves into close-quarters clusterfucks, the unlocks are utterly unfair (since it feels you can only accomplish anything with the M9), the actual gunplay feels even wonkier than before (a combination of poor hit detection, increased recoil and poor hit sounds) and the abundance of double-kills. It also doesn't help that any of the swagger I built up during the previous beta seems to have disappeared. :P

Most of the levels in the beta (aside from maybe Airstrip) are designed in such a way as to discourage the use of proper aiming and cover. The desert village map, while amazing-looking, plays poorly due to how small and contrived it is.

Thank god for the mindnumbingly good single-player campaigns, otherwise I wouldn't touch the games. It's mind-boggling how much better the gunplay feels when you fight against AI opponents that have nicely animated hit and kill animations.

I would keep it on your hard drive until you get UC3 just to be safe that your levels and stats transfer over.

Already deleted the beta and the save file. Don't really care about the stats now, I was only level 9 anyway and this promo put me off the full thing unless they fix the complaints that have been presented in this topic.

Took me about 3 games to get used to the new flow of things, but after that, its the same UC multiplayer I love with some nifty additions

there is now way ND is going to do nothing after all the complaints

Well, the words posted by EvangM sure feel like empty promises. Didn't tons of people complain about the UC2 changes? Look what happened on that front (I can't vouch for that myself since I never played the UC2 MP).
