It would seriously do wonders if Arne could come out and alleviate some of the worries here. Really reconsidering a day one purchase at this point.
Nothing more to be said, they already said they are listening to feedback but cant just change stuff right away.

Same here, I usually buy all my games when they hit around £15, it's only when I see a multiplayer game that I know I will play is when I get the game day 1 because I don't want to be behind the online competition. With single player games, no matter how great it is, I can wait (thinking of buying GoW3 soon lol, bought Uncharted 2 when it hit £15).

Why did Naughty Dogg have to fuck it up, the Beta was nearly perfect, they should have tweaked a few things from the Beta, not change thw whole thing up. It's a shame as it was going to be my go to multiplayer game after having a blast on the Beta, but after ths new shitty build I am having second thoughts, am just not having as much fun. Also where is Arne, can he confirm if they are going to make any changes on this build (preferably back to how it was on the Beta)
Heh, some would say that's exactly what they did. They upped recoil X%, increased speed X%, etc. It's not like it's a snowboarding game now.

Go big or go home. They did the same with Uncharted 2 MP. They decreased the number of shots (not real numbers) to kill from 10 to 3, instead of testing the balance of 6-7.

I honestly haven't looked into what they changed

But the difference in playing the Beta and this is noticeable. In the Beta, aiming felt easier, and is was much more easier to get kills, from long range to short range. Basically the gunplay was much better. In the current build, aiming is difficult, it takes a lot of shots to kill an enemy. I don't mind the increased standard movement speed, however the increased sprint is ridiculous, they should just remove sprint (or have it as a perk). Finally hip firing and melee is more common and annoying in this build than the Beta.

Arne and other Naughty Dogs probably lurk this thread (and similar ones on other forums) a lot but there isn't much they can say beyond "we're taking all your feedback and deciding what to do." I still don't know why they changed some of the things they did from the beta since its reception seemed to be positive overall. I don't even know what they changed for something like the G-MAL and whether we're meant to switch to our pistol when dropping the treasure or if it's just a bug.

Hopefully if they do patch it they do it quick, ready for Uncharted 3 release, as newcomers who try the multiplayer will be turned off with the bad gun play, best to have everything patched up and ready for release to keep newcomers hooked on the multiplayer.

It is and it has been there for at least a few days, if not from the beginning.

I'd have to make more tests but it definitely wasn't at the beginning, not like it was in the beta.

G-MAL wasn't nerfed. Movement speed was massively buffed and the G-MAL and/or player health weren't changed to compensate.

It seems like it's harder to aim the GMAL, I don't know if rate of fire was altered or what, but it's no the same weapon it was in the beta.

I don't remember how exactly it sounded in the beta, but i've been paying attention to it since i've read a post of yours where you mentioned it and i could clearly hear the sound when my shots with the G-Mal would connect. I'm not 100% sure about the first day or two because i paid no mind to it then, but it has definitely been there since the start of this week at least. I also started using the M9 today in the Subway beta and there it was again.

yep, g-mal has been nerferd. In the beta with R1 pushed 3 times the enemy was dead, now at least 4 or 5.

Bullet damage seems to be the same when I can actually get the shots to hit but something has been changed that makes it harder to hit a target. Whether that's just the faster movement speed or a wider bullet spread or something, I don't know.

It still only takes two bursts to kill with the G-MAL and ROF feels about the same to me, but it's definitely harder to score kills with the gun. Whether it's just the increased movement speed, or changes to recoil or auto-aim, I don't know.

the hit detection is shit, no more connection issues with the eu beta so i can rule lag out
they need to fix this asap, #1 priority imo

Yep I think it is the hitboxes. Something is terribly off about the game. I can't hit shit. Don't know what the hell they did but it's serious

Hey guys, I was at work all day. Did I miss anything Uncharted related? Don't make me read through hundreds of posts please.

The lack of auto aim is what is messing people up with the g mal I think, unless this game has it and I'm just freaking crazy. I noticed it takes a lot more skill to track someone while aiming and shooting and most of my deaths are from people bum rushing me, melee, and grenade drops.

I wonder if they can improve the rendering quality of the youtube videos. At a bitrate of 2mbps it really should look a lot better than this.

I just played some games, did they update it? Hit detection is back including the sound/signal and movement/sprint has been slowed back down. Nobody is rushing for melee anymore, and if they do they are being easily punished

Ak has less recoil too, it is actually useful at medium range

Oh shit, thanks dude. Doesn't sound like it's quite enough, but was just thinking today that as much as I want to play U3 I was going to wait for an update, as I didn't want to get burned out before the premium, final build.

Edit: Copy and pasting the gist.

- Stopping Power is back.

- RPG Kickback cost has changed from 8 medals to 10

- Sprint duration has changed from 6 seconds to 4.5 seconds

- AK-47 recoil is tuned

- G-MAL recoil is tuned

Comments have been made about the increased effectiveness of run and gun, but the accuracy has actually been reduced since the Beta. The removal of stopping power is what created this perception. So the old Spray n’ Pray remains true to the phrase. So aside from the turn radius of the sprint, your gameplay experience should be a lot closer to how it was during the Late June/July multiplayer beta.

Stopping power is back. Can someone explain EXACTLY what this means? To me, when I see "stopping power," I think of the perk in CoD.

The game feels like the beta now.

Interesting. Will try it out. Oh PS3 just locked up while searching for games. :P

I don't understand why they keep nerfing the RPG kickback though.
It wasn't an immediate, pressing concern, but I did think there were just a tad too many rockets flying around matches. Seems smart to me. They didn't make the explosion less powerful, or the rocket move slower, or anything like that. Just 2 more medals.
