No point of a new thread. The game comes out in like 3 weeks. We'll get an official thread in 2 weeks. We can last 2 weeks with this thread methinks.

Played with some gaffers last night. Had like 2 games. Great fun. Then it broke up the party or some bullshit and I was tired, so I left. Good game guys. I was Gray Fillabuster.

Definitely have improved the game but it is still VERY hard to kill an enemy. Must be a combination of recoil and weird hit boxes. I don't think it is lag to be honest.

Game feels ah-mazing, I agree. Loved the fixes, I don't care if other people don't press L1, I do and I'm taking out foos with a vengence. Hell, I had my first game with a kill count of 30! Just straight up murdered on that one!

Sometimes people get me with the run up, shoot and punch - but not enough that I'd be sour over it. I know that those times they really got the drop on me. Most the time though I have enough time to aim and aiming actually matters for something now.

Weird thing though. I put in the Subway code for ND's AK - but I got Drake's AK instead. Now I can't unlock ND's AK.

Oh and now I'm actually half way decent with the sniper. I'm starting to make it my default loadout on the first train sequence and Syria - at least until I die. I just love it all about this MP. I also kind of like how Desert Village has become the U3 equivalent of Nuketown - people are everywhere, but its so easy to control areas in that level! I'm always kicking it out in the open, circling around that water hole, and taking out people all kinds.

it was working half the time last night and the other half... well not so well. when it is on, it is excellent. i just hate popping a full clip into someone to watch them run around a corner untouched. then i'll die it two to three bullets. i know it is lag because i've been gunning down the same person as a team mate from two different angles and somehow they will kill both of us. then you go to the game final score board and that person has only died 4 or so times. i'll watch the kill cam after i've been dispatched from said character, and not only did they survive being gunned down by two people they are also running away from a third that can't seem to take them out. the health is solid on this game, but COME ON! hahaha

i love the game, no doubt. they just need a little more tweaking, and i'll be set!
 
There are still WAY TOO MANY problems with Cinema mode. Game freezes, all-black video captures, a glitch where all players disappear, games you join don't get captured, your console may crash when you rewind, etc etc.
 
When playing with people around the same level: Game is fun
When playing with people 3 times your own level: Die before you even spawn
 
half way through my beast mode upgrade and getting there. Considering this is technically a free game; I've spent wayyy too much on it already. :P

Had an awesome plunder game which was a total clusterfuck for 10 minutes til we managed a window and scored when we killed all the guys shooting at us. sooo good
 
Wow, I bought the Sony Wireless headphones to use with my PS3. Before, I was just using my crappy computer speakers to hear the game. I put these on and HOLY SHIT. The game sounds 10x better, which is not an exaggeration.

When the marked man powerplay came on, it was this fucking wicked tune that just got me pumped up for some reason. To hear it with such clarity was great.

Yeah, gmal still sucks. I even wasted 100k on the accuracy mod. Guy was on on one of the middle high platforms sniping at someone at the turret. 3 bursts from the gmal by me standing on high platform on the other side, guy just rolled away...went back to the m9.

no shit. the music + audio in this game is so good.. When you get to the last 5 kills and the orchestraed panic/swell kicks in ....really quite amazing
 
So there weren't any changes? I remember ND doing tweaks on their side they don't have the user patch unless its something huge.

I could have sworn there were changes. Sprinting length seems a lot shorter. I was getting my average KDR from on my first few games.

Whoah, have there been some changes made since last night? The game feels fucking great now =D

Aiming down the sights and blasting people from mid-long range is working perfectly in the situations where I need it to. Blindfire + melee is working is perfectly in the situations where I need it to. Balance feels pretty close to perfect now. Taking cover and popping up to shoot people seems to be a viable strategy now.

Lag also seems to be a much less horrendous in the 10 or so matches I've played today, but only time will tell...

They have released only one update and it was on the 5th . Update included changes below.

- Stopping Power is back.
- RPG Kickback cost has changed from 8 medals to 10
- Sprint duration has changed from 6 seconds to 4.5 seconds
- AK-47 recoil is tuned
- G-MAL recoil is tuned

Last I played the AK-47 and G-MAL didn't feel any different than before.

Oh okay, I haven't played the beta since before the 5th. I definitely felt the difference yesterday. I was doing really well with the G-mal. The hit-boxes did still feel a bit off though.

I'm a mid-long range player and i'm assuming that tune of recoil made a world of difference for me.

add more stopping power
reduce recoils
reduce sprinting speed
reduce blind fire accurecy

Whoops, my bad. Yeah, upping the sensitivity was necessary for me. It'll make all the difference against those coming up for the quick melee kill. I put it up 2 or 3 notches.

Weapon, Drake's AK. Gives you enough stopping power and midrange effectiveness + it has a small blindfire boost for when someone engages you in close quarters fights. Drake's Pistol for when I run out of bullets on the AK, it isn't effective on its own.

Fleet Foot, Revenge, and Vanish are my preferred trio of boostin'. Though I'm re-evaluating Revenge.

In the game now I'm just upgrading all my boosters, its a pretty fun process - but I got Monkey Man next, how I do pull off 8 Pull Downs? ..hmmm..

Edit: We need to get a GAF game going of all the people who think the game is "fixed" versus all the people who don't. Sounds fun.
 
If you think the game's been "fixed" guys, then more power to you. I'll just keep getting my 15-2 scores with blindfire in FFA :|

That's what I thought after it first got tuned but now it's back to being more frustrating for me. I hope it's just because I'm a Euro playing with the Subway version/Americans.
 
So do you guys use custom dudes or hero's/villains? I think the custom dudes look pretty silly so I mainly stick to the regular guys.

Just curious because it seemed like ND wanted to do a big customizing thing and there doesn't seem to be that many options. Well, theres more options then most TPS's I suppose but it still seems small from what I thought it was going to be.

I use Sully (because who doesn't like Sully?) and the custom villain, but on the whole, I don't care that much.
 
Something I REALLY hate is that, somehow, dudes found a way to mimic martyrdom and they drop a grenade when killed in cqc. Fuck that shit >:o/

I always used to do that in the beta and it was pretty effective, although I imagine very annoying for the person on the other end. I've been trying to do that in this beta too but it rarely works, it feels like there's a bit of lag between pressing L2 and the grenade being thrown.
 
Okay getting the Long Ranger medals is literally impossible.

I tried for three hours and didn't get any. On London Underground I killed five people from high all the way up where the magnum is all the way to where the turret is. If that isn't long enough I don't know how else to get it.

Does anyone have any tips?
 
im in the camp that loves this game now (first day I played, soo bad. soured on the multiplayer. tried it next day, complete 180.)

also; is the US subway beta compatible with the EU PS+ one?
ie: if i want to party up with my american friend can I? or are they seperated?

Good headphones are a great way to step your game up too. You can hear everything around you, and the direction sounds are coming from.
I honestly rely on audio cues as much as, if not more than, visuals.

No tips. It is impossible. I main the sniper like 80% of the time and kill dudes across the map and I still haven't gotten one.

Ever since I got my gaming headphones, I haven't looked back. It's truly the way to play. You hear everything! Just increase the sound of footsteps and it'll be better.
 
Oh crap... I'm starting to get the random freezes/slowdown people were talking about a few pages back.

Is it confirmed to be related to getting a high position on the leaderboards?
