Yes it has. Speed is slower, sprint time is less and recovery time is much longer

The start of the beta was CONSTANT sprinting ALL THE TIME. Now its not.
No it hasn't. All they've changed is how long you can sprint from 6 to 4.5 seconds.

The ONLY change regarding sprint:
The start of the beta was CONSTANT sprinting ALL THE TIME. Now its not.

Sprint duration has changed from 6 seconds to 4.5 seconds

It's just as speedy as before and recovery time is the same. It has changed nothing in the overall spectrum. And regular movement speed has not been touched at all. I don't know what game you're playing but me and everyone I play with and against is still sprints constantly, it's THE most essential and most broken mechanic of the game.

People in this very same topic?

When? It was the recovery that made the lasting time null. Doesn't matter if sprint is 25 seconds or 4 seconds when you can instantly do it again. On top of being able to sprint 100% of the time, sprint was too fast. They "fixed" the thing was was a non issue.

That video speaks the truth. Aiming at people sprinting all over the map is useless. The reticule is useless, I don't even know if I am hitting my enemies.

I know. I truly have no idea. People say the hit-confirm soundbite is back(i personally say NO), but if it is it's useless to me now. I'd switch to the sniper rifle as my main weapon expect it instantly puts you in scope view when you aim, completely disorientating me. Yay weirdo changes.

Pretty much every time I shoot at a guy I always yell out "Am I even doing any damage to this dude!?"

BTW I have yet to see the addition of stopping power in effect. Either on me or on an opponent. What's up with that.

Yup, this is how it is. And that gets kinda boring fast. Guess it's sp and co-op for me

I remember the AK sounding better in the beta, or is that just me? It sounded more powerful.

Overall, I was sad when the beta ended and wanted to keep playing. It was really fun. However, the latest incarnation of multiplayer is not as fun. At times, it's down right infuriating. I can't give specifics; it just feels off.

The sound effects are all different, I too liked them better in the beta.

Out of curiosity, what is the general consensus of the structure of the game? What does everyone think of Boosters and Kickbacks and Loadouts and Power plays? Is this good for the game, or would you rather have it back like it was in Uncharted 2, where everyone had mostly the same abilities?

Kickbacks and Loadouts and Power plays are all great IMO

this is better, everyone has a unique loadout, you can pay hardcore mode if you don't like these

Well, there were boosters in Uncharted 2. Some would say greatly empowering boosters. :P I personally actually like kickbacks and the powerplays, they add an interesting dynamic to the game. Loadouts and gun mods I'm iffy on, I wish it'd be back to how it was on UC2 if only to have a rifle and a pistol that are actually usable. Pistol is such an awesome weapon in UC2(but it required skill to use properly), and in here it's just worthless through and through.

I've actually liked these elements, but power plays like marked man needlessly punish players to easy deaths by pointing out their position. There has been a bunch of times I've been doing poorly, only to get smashed even more because everyone knows where I am.

As for the basic progression, being locked off to elements that are so influential such as accuracy mods and greatly improved weapons has always been strange to me, no matter what game its been featured in.

I hate kickbacks, they're awful in every sense of the word. They add randomness, confusion, and dull down everything. I'm getting okay with powerplays, but it's pretty messed up when a team gets 2-3 of them, gains the lead, and the game never gives them to the opposing team.

Loadouts are fine, but mods are AWFUL. DON'T LOCK UPGRADES TO WEAPONS TO HIGHER LEVEL PLAYERS. They already have map knowledge and a better grasp of game mechanics. Then they get legitimate gameplay advantages on top of it. Dumb, dumb, dumb.

I'd like to just stick in hardcore mode but not when the pure distilled UC3 MP is in don't fucking aim mode.

I do wonder if they have boosters that cripple you for more money again. That was a great idea.

I've been killed multiple multiple times sprinting away - especially in the open maps like syria. And by people who aim. Even shot from the turrents in yemen. And you know on the yemen map, on the return area to the villians chest, there is a corridor they have to take the idol through - if you stand all the way back near the middle chest area - you get a clear line of sight all the way there. You can clean up good shooting guys as they quabble over the idol in there. I've gotten so many avenger/assistant/kills from whenever the red+greens swarm the idol in there. Its about finding techincal advantages - the problem is people like to swarm and get actiony! The whole point of the game is to get kills so a lot of people rush head along into the next combat situation.

That youtube is funny if only for how retarded he was being. If you go close quarters - CLOSE quarters, then, yes spray and pray is the way to go. As it would be in real life (that is; If I'm next to you spraying a micro; you'd be dead fast). In fact all instance of that LMAO video = close quarter with a blindfire weapon and he surprised the guys from coming in behind/above. Plus he was doing the wriggling run around. He also waited for a clusterfuck of people swarming to run into the area and blindfire. Its not like he's really proving anything. The constant use to the word faggot also really didnt help to sell his point too.

and if you blindfire and melee? of course its going to kill someone. But then, it is close quarter combat and directly related to player behaviour.

They bring back a game mode like elimination, and you'll get to play mid/long gunplay.

I really despise all mp shooters. You get better equipment when you play the game more. So not only are you better because you've practiced more, you're also a lot better because you have got the superior equipment.

So when I started playing last night I always encountered these lvl 30+ players just utterly destroying everyone.

Not all MP shooter are like that...but yeah, it's getting rarer and rarer to find.

markman always favour the team doing poorly by X margin (usually 10). Multimarkman comes when both teams are on par and adds an extra layer of challenge - oppourtunity to score more in that tiny 1 minute window. If you're the markman, you should hide and hope your team gets the game mechanic or a) defending you b) killing the other mark man man.

everybody gets better. When I started, people were already level 24+ versus my level 1. Your level playing field will come the more you play. Which is what they're trying to encourage. The money+xp+ability to buy boosters+kickbacks all add to game longevity.

I'd MUCH rather they put energy into maps that changed and forced people to move to a new area like Battlefield Rush maps, and had more events like the Chateau caving in than any of the Boosters, Kickbacks, Loadouts, Power Plays, Mods, etc. etc. The game would be so much more pure, and beautifully simple. I've grown tired of all this unlocking crap and killstreaks in modern shooters.

"Start playing uncharted. For the first several hours, you are going to be violently raped by higher level players, but if you make it through that long, it will hurt less and less.", is what your saying, basically?

Man I couldn't shoot for shit with the GMAL in this game right now. I could swear I landed 6 bullets on my targets(AT LEAST), but it just wouldn't happen for me.

or you can elect not to play the game?

Oh, I definitely won't. I'm just saying, that's not very good incentive to play the game to someone who is new and willing to give the game a chance.

I love them. I think they add some nice dynamics to the game. I don't see why anyone would really have problem with them, and if they do Hardcore mode is available.

I may be in the minority here, but I also like the faster health regeneration, but I do think it needs to be balanced out with better stopping power and bigger hitboxes.

To keep things short and sweet, I think the top 3 priorities should be this:

1. Guns: Fix the small hitboxes/auto-aim + add just a tiny bit more stopping power. Tone down the recoil just a little with most of the guns (and tone it down drastically with the Kal.)

2. Blindfire: Nerf the blindfire auto-aim and work on a better solution for close-range encounters. A smaller blindfire reticule, perhaps? The smaller reticule appears once you start firing without hitting L1 first. Bullets don't land unless the reticule is aimed at the target? I dunno just throwing ideas out there...

3. Speed: Tone down the speed just a tiny bit.

^ Can we all sort of agree on these 3 points?

The woman at my Subway damn near fell over when I told her I wanted to buy just a drink for the code.

She's like, "You have to buy food too." I knew you don't have to, but I was in a hurry.

So I bought a cookie.

She was mad :3

this game can be so stupid. freaking prioritize throwing back a grenade over every other pickup GODDAMNIT IT WAS THE SAME IN THE BETA WHY HASN'T THIS BEING CHANGED. No, I did not want to pick ammo while this live grenade was laying at my feet.

Can't wait for tomorrow so my level will go up again. I think about all that XP going into the ether and i'm :(.

Posting between matches. This is ND saying "fuck you" to me. Fuck 'em right back at 'em (mp team).

btw echoing the sentiments by yobo+thurman. You should give the game the fuck up so we don't have to read your idiotic posts about zero fun while you continue to fill the thread with these annoying posts.

zero fun?

Who are you to dictate discussion on a videogame forum? The posts are on topic.

If ND doesn't change anything the posts will stop soon enough because people will just stop playing.

my point about someone hating on this game that much, calling it dogshit, worst game - should stop playing it is spot on. why spend any more time playing something that is zero fun.

There is a difference between constructive criticism and the "this game is a pile of shit" type of posts Moonsault is posting. He is also in the top 10 posters in this thread so the thread is full of his crap, its irritating

Who said that I've been playing? I'm not. I just pop in here to see how badly ND fucked up and how many people get upset.

This is a beta thread, and even if it weren't, criticism is what every game needs. It's how you improve, you find out whats wrong and set out to fix it. Somethings can't or won't be fixed, maybe because it is impossible to do so or maybe ND is simply not interested in doing a certain thing.

But most of the things bitched about here are not like that. For example, ND specifically stated that this was to be a casual friendly as well as hardcore game. Well, with what they've done, it is going to be difficult for new players to get into the game due to how ahead everyone is. The advantage that long time players are going to have is frankly absurd and eventually it will lead the MP to being a small niche community of hardcore, rather than the go to game that ND specifically stated they wanted to make.

And you, rather than admitting that, yes, the Naughty Gods are indeed fallible and made a mistake, you just tell the players they must either deal with getting demolished for several hours before they level up enough to play decently or they should stop playing all together. No body wants that, not the new players or old, and certainly not ND, and you trying to stop criticism from flowing in does not help anybody in the least.

Edit: I didn't realize you were not replying to me. oh well, what I said still applies. Just pretend I'm moonsault then.
