I know it turns into a different game once you acquire the M9 but I still hope they turn down the recoil for the AK-47 and G-MAL. Newcomers are going to be put off with the two shitty weapons they're giving to start off with.

The game officially feels awesome. We have a few people who can't let go of the past, but something has happened, or I've acclimated, but the M9 + Micro = awesome.

Honestly, they need to make the AK better. Since its the default weapon and it absolutely blows, its a real detriment to fun.

WHERE ARE MY ROCKETS ONLY MATCHES. Does anyone remember how fucking slick it was going from a normal game, to a Rockets only, to a snipers only- fuck mang.
 
As good as the M9 is, they still need to nerf the KAL-7. Once everyone unlocks that gun all hell will break loose. I tried it out a few times and it literally tears people apart. You don't even have to melee, just sprint and shoot.

The M9 isn't even overpowering, it just wins by default.

Nah, even if I lose, I'm still having a heck of a lot more fun with the M9. My bullets land where I want them to. Aiming works. I was wrong. It's just the g-mal that's awful.

The game does still have its problems.

- AK-47 and G-MAL are shit
- All pistols are shit
- Stopping power needs to be increased
- Blindfire accuracy needs to be decreased
- Hit confirms can hardly be seen and heard with the AK-47 and G-MAL
- Sprint speed needs to be turned down(see below)

I'm not too sure about reducing the speed of sprinting as long as they increase stopping power but as of right you can sprint a bit too fast.
 
I see no reason to use the M9 over the KAL-7. That gun is death incarnate and still makes the run and punch strategy the most effective in the game.

In the context of U3, it refers as the way your movement (or enemy's movement) is slowed down significantly upon being hit by a number of bullets. That was much more apparent in U2 multiplayer, and almost impossible to be found right now, at least in my experience.

KAL-7 is useless at anything but close-quarters. That playstyle is unfun to me. The M9 provides me with what I wanted, the fucking ability to aim properly from medium-long range. I have yet have someone rush straight at me successfully. For surprise close attacks the M9 even holds it own, although the micro is better. Regular M9+clip and Custom Micro+clip+reload is my go-to combo at the moment.
 
I did use my fair share of skelly skins in U2, but ultimately settled down on my fatty Drake/Lazarevic combo. Fuck skellies, fat skins is where it's at!
Edit: Normal Lazarevic, that is. I kept hoping for a fat Lazarevic skin like the thanksgiving one. :(
 
Speaking of spoilers, I can kinda guess a plot device and villain skin based on past comments and other clues.
Clowns. They are skins for the opponents in crushing co-op and it has been hinted that Marlowe uses fear as a weapon and Drake's biggest fear is...?
 
Plunder is sort of..not fun. I think maybe its because people can run with the treasure wayyy too fast.

I suppose my idea would be for the carrier of the treasure to have the following:
Sure Foot
Increased Health
Fast Regeneration (from the idol)
And Very Slow Movement (cause its heavy)
Very Limited Throwing Distance (same)
One-Hit Melee Kills

Then its more about getting the person to the location - than say putting up 1 or 2 road blocks for the person to take 10 seconds to run to the dropoff. Just an idea.
 
Meh, never liked Plunder that much anyway. I'm too obtuse to enjoy anything but deathmatches. Even Team Objective kind of annoys me after a bit.

You've gotta be kidding. The spawns are just as bad as in U2; and the buddy system, Back In The Saddle and sprint ensure utter chaos around the treasure at all times. It's horrible.

Thankfully, the new objectives mode is quite fun.
 
Hmm... I don't get this praise for the M9, it feels just as bad as everything else to me. Well, I'm not sure how it compares to the G-MAL but it feels pretty similar to the AK.

Plunder is terrible because of Buddy Spawning and spawning in general.

And it will be even worse in retail when you face of team using nothing but Regeneration Gold and Back In The Saddle Gold.

It's also terrible because -- just like before they fixed Plunder in U2 -- 90% of the players treat it as a 20min TDM because you get more money by doing that than playing the mode correctly.

Eh I don't know I'm having a much better time in UC3 plunder. Increased health and being able to one-punch kill people with the treasure help so much. Not everyone uses BITS, and the buddy system really isn't that bad as you can't spawn in the middle of combat.

Guess I gotta give it another go around after this patch. I played in the Yemen map a couple times - so perhaps other maps are better for this.

Wow, didn't even notice. I'm so used to getting 20k+ from U2 Plunder wins, that the 7k average in this made it seem like they went back to the old way.

Plunder is still terrible from BS'ing and asymmetrical maps, but they'll never changed that.

Captures need to be worth 1k and That Was Embarrassing needs to be brought back for 10k, 5k at the least.

I can't believe how much they flip-flop on shit over there...
 
There was some miscommunication and a blog post was authored which mentioned that there would be an increase in the level cap along with new maps.

The new maps will still be deployed later today, but there will be no level cap increase during the Subway/Uncharted 3 Multiplayer Experience. Sorry for the confusion, hope this clears things up.

As for
the skeletons
, after a match yesterday i "unlocked" a bunch of U2 ones (not really, but the popups said so).
I hope they will have voices this time, or else the game will go back to being silent like U2 MP is currently and lose a big part of its charm. Nolan North could provide some funny voices for them. :P
 
I think Team Objective would be a lot better if they rework how treasure is obtained. Either dole it out based on getting/holding the objective location, or at least put the chests there. Way, way too many instances of being up in a particular round only to see teammates flee from the capture area to go chase after treasure. Even a 100 point lead in king of the hill isn't safe when half the people stop caring about protecting the capture zone.

Haha Molten Ruins, it truly is the exact opposite of Flooded Ruins, visually. Mostly the same, some of the chest high cover is different. New location for the grenade launcher.
