Yeah seriously its getting a bit weird. There are aspects about this game that definitely need tweaking for me, but the fact that I keep playing it shows that I at least enjoy what I'm playing.
 
Finally made my comeback and made it back to a 1 k/d ratio. I was at one point at 1300/1600, but ive crawled back to 2028-2012. Feels good
 
I finally unlocked some custom weapons. I got Drake's Para 9 which looks neat, but I don't really use the Para-9. And I got Marlowe's M9 which looks cool too and I will be using from now on. Hoping to unlock some others as well. I need to play some of the other modes more. I usually stick with deathmatch variants when I am going in alone though.

Oh come on. You don't see a little sattire in my post? I'm mocking myself and others who dislike it but keep playing.

But why was the part where I said I was tired, cranky and distracted but loved the 3D not factored in as to why I may want to try again...?

Though from now on, I'll be less primitive with my posts since people no longer agree with me and have warmed up to the new style of gameplay heh.

Every post you have made so far has been negative of this game. Now, thats no problem. They have fixed some stuff for me so that I enjoy it, but you've called this game a turd not long ago, you've said you deleted it, and some other stuff.

Its not just this post, it has been many many others.

If you hate the game, but want to keep playing it, ok, thats great. But please, stop with the non-constructive negative posts. Hearing "sorry ND, this game sucks" or "I'm done. If people who I'm CLEARLY shooting at while struggling to manage the recoil aren't going to die, then fuck it. Once the big mp games drop, no ones going to touch this POS anyway."
 
Played a lot better last night. Maybe I was host? I think not because I usually went somehwat positive or even. Yes, that is an improvement for me. Even though the came could be better it is still fun and I will be investing my time into it.

BTW what's the deal with the one map being an exact copy of the Uncharted DLC map? It's map with the volcanos in the background.

There are 2 U2 DLC maps in U3. Molten Ruins is from U2 and Highrise which is also from U2.

I think ND are putting all the U2 DLC in U3 which I think is great! If we get a good size of new maps, plus the old maps as a bonus, then I ain't complaining.

4 actually: Highrise, Molten Ruins, Frozen Facility, and Museum.

It's also possible that we'll be getting some (maybe all) of the on disc U2 maps, there was listings for The Village and Warzone. Warzone was the original name for The Plaza.

After hitting the cash-cap of $1 million last night, I'm pretty much done with this until retail.

A few thoughts:
  • GRENADE THROWBACK PRIORITY OVER EVERYTHING.
  • IDOL PRIORITY OVER EVERYTHING BUT GRENADES.
  • Let me melee people when I'm holding a BBQ, like I can with the idol.
  • Put zones around the chests in Plunder that prohibits Buddy Spawning into the enemy base abuse.
  • Fix the goddam Plunder chests in Molten Ruins. Simply switching the teams' bases does nothing to fix this terribly unbalanced map.
  • STOP SPAWNING EVERY ENEMY IN OUR BASE DURING PLUNDER!
  • Make the Hammer rounds explode on contact again...
  • Put the Mag 5 back to how it was in the beta, you fucked it up.
  • Quick Boom should only be a 1-time use. Activate > give a grenade if out > throw 1 grenade that explodes on contact.
  • Female custom characters.
  • Put the generators and Helicopter back on Highrise. And make it daytime again, or raining, or snowing, or anything other than what it is because it's boring as shit to look at.
  • Get rid of Double Damage for fuck's sake! Remember in the beta when you took it out because it sucked elephant dick? Yeah, do that again.
  • Kill-money the winning team gets during powerplays should not be x2 but x10. Since we're forced to play that shit, make it worth-while. Same with Overtime/Sudden Death.
  • Stop giving me duplicate treasures! I don't care if they're for your stupid facebook integration. I'm never going to use that shit, so don't give me dupes. Give me $1000 instead.
 
One thing that's been annoying me recently is the time it takes to pull out your pistol when hanging from a ledge. It's led to a few deaths that I could have avoided if it were faster, although it might have something to do with the monkey man booster.

Other than that, I'm having a lot of fun. I don't think there's anything more satisfying than the one hit melee kills while holding the idol.
 
Oh yes, I forgot: the camera control for when you are hanging and shooting to your sides is all screwy. The reticule/camera moves in a weird, arc-like way, instead of straight lines -- it's kind of hard to explain.

Change it back to how it was in U2 where it was so much better.
 
Wow, I cannot for the life of me fill any treasure requirements. God damn. I have the Subway crap done 5 times over, but normal treasure? Like 2 of the items are done. Couple 1/3's, but most 0/3. The fuck? I know that different playlists give different treasures, but still nothing.

hmmm? I filled up a few of my treasures but I do have the boosters. When you're treasure grinding; you'll need the boosters + concentrate on kills to get the medals - that and chest raiding. Anyhow, once the subway game ends, there'll only be normal drops in the retail so it'll definitely up your chances of getting proper treasure. Plus I see a LVL3 treasure hunter booster happening so it'll be easier.

MoonsaultSlayer needs to stop playing the game because I've been sick of his annoying posts since god knows when.

It seems the better you do in a match (KDR, Medals, Variety, quickness, etc.) the more loot drops you get. There's been matches where even though I went 21-3, I didn't get any drops because my kills were all from the same gun/style; other times I'll only go 9-8 but I'll shoot one guy with the sniper, kick one off a ledge, grenade another, and melee someone else all withing 30sec and they poop out 2 or more treasures.

I only need 2 more treasures; 1 for Drake's AK, and 1 for Roman's G-Mal.

Right. I heard there were some balancing tweaks so I redownloaded it. I've already stated that I won't post absurd comments anymore because I am now in the minority.

I still dislike the direction but will keep trying to play up to release and see where ND takes it. I'm hoping for the best but we'll see. It shouldn't be a miracle when I take someone out mid-long range.

-Scoped In. What even constitutes 70 meters? That, and it's really damn hard to get. I don't even think kills across the map in Molten Ruins are far enough for that. Getting3 of them in one match? Yeah right. Played a 20min game of Plunder where it was all I was trying to do with the sniper and didn't get a single medal for it.

-Pretty much the same issue still applies to Assassin.

-It probably is best to change Quick Boom to a one time use thing.

-Priority: treasure > grenade > weapon

-T-Bolt reloading still needs to be faster.

-The GMAL needs just the smallest amount of extra autoaim when aiming. The gun should win vs. AK/M9 at distances if used right most of the time.

-High fives are really weird to get. Even if you're standing right next to your buddy who is holding Down and you try to do the same, it usually doesn't work on the first try.

-Fix the Para. More damage.

-Slow down the ROF on the Mag.

-Finding mute all in a lobby needs to be easier than it is now. Map it to Start or something.

-I think I hate Highrise now more than I hate Chateau. Maps and weapon spawns are too unbalanced or misused.

-Also, Plunder on London Subway and Molten Ruins are a goddamn nightmare for what should be very obvious reasons for specific teams.

-General range problems with pull down/kick off, but I see that's a topic of concern in today's update.

-Again... getting treasures in Hardcore are nigh impossible. Hell will freeze over before you even pick up one piece.

I don't mind 'grenade whores' (some might call me one), but Quick Boom turns grenades into rockets...and you can throw as many 'rockets' as you can find/have of grenades. And for 7 medals.
Yet Rocket Launcher is 10 medals and you only get 1 shot. That needs balancing. It's as if ND blindly succumbed to people bitching about the Rocket Launcher when the game came out. As is, Quick Boom is significantly better and cheaper, even without having boosters to make it even more deadly.

Making it a one time use would fix that. Most people would probably prefer a rocket over an insta-nade, but if it's still cheaper, then it should be fairly fair. Also, doing this would free up booster slots for people who aren't specializing in grenade fests.
 
Sigh... encountered another glicther in the Desert Village (nolosgs) and got a good look at how you glitch the map. I got it recorded and uploaded, but for chrissake ND dont drop the ball on fixing this... its getting more and more widespread.
 
Yes, I definitely agree with increase the pulldown and kick off range. They should be god like, it encouges traversal gameplay and hanging pistol shots are not that great.

Also the Shottie kickback should give you a SPAS not a double barrell. Double barrel sucks IMO. 90% of the time it takes both shots to kill and has a long reload time. Do you guys really think that a double barrell is worth the same price as a rocket or T bolt?

One more thing...did ND ever confirm the stat reset glitch was 100% removed yet? I can't wait to jump back into this but I'm gonna start Uncharted 2 first.

They haven't had any cases of resets since the patch. All of the stat logging and framerate issues are gone too, so I'm pretty sure the issue has been squashed.

Kick-offs don't need any tuning. Don't be afraid if you see someone hanging waiting for a pull-down, just run up to them and boot them in the face/slam their head on the wall, a kick-off will win every time.

Pull-downs only have the advantage when going directly into the hanging state.

What needs to be changed is the stupid camera for when you pull/kick someone; if I go for a pull-down, the camera zooms in way too close at an odd angle and I don't know if I'm successful or not until the "Pull-Down!" medal pops up or I die... Idiotic change.

The double-barrel is a terrible, terrible weapon.

yes, pulldowns (probably my favorite element of U2's MP) have been severely nerfed. Lower pull radius plus the wonky camera make me a sad panda.

But I think it's easier now to kick a guy off a ledge. I remember always getting my ass handed to me in UC2 whenever I tried that, but in UC3 I have a pretty good success rate.
 
ahaha the shottie kickback gives you a sawed-off shotgun? Worst kickback ever.

Kickoffs and pull downs seem the same as before. It's just a little buggy sometimes. The guy that kicks always has priority btw.

Pull-downs have definitely been changed, especially for pulling someone over the wall.

I've reached through people multiple times and I can't pull them down, or I'll be slightly to the left/right of them and I'll just swipe air.

Gone are the days of Mr. Fantastic pull-downs. :p
 
If the choice is between what we have now in regards to pulldowns as opposed to the magical, telekinetic pulldowns of U2 where you would get sucked towards the puller by means of who knows which dark force, even from metres away, I'll choose what we have now.

The double barrel is best used if you don't aim it try blindfiring it next time.

Yup, shit is broken. I run up to my enemy as close as I can but yet my character does the standard melee animation instead of kicking him off.
 
Man headshots do so little damage, despite being hard to pull off. I shot this beeatch twice in the head(I heard the clank noise) plus a bunch of bullets to the body and still didn't die. I'm not asking for instant death from headshots but at least something worthwhile. :P

You guys complain at shotties being lame, but all I see when I play are godlike shotguns that kill me from vast distances in a couple shots.

Like, I'm running around, minding my own shit, when I hear a shot and I know I'm hit. I try to maneuver to take cover/retaliate, and all I see is some shotty wielding dude that's farther than my next paycheck. Then I think "this dude is too far, I have enough time to whip out my trusty, jett-approved and endorsed M9 and rip him to shreds from a safe distance". Well, tough shit. Shotty dude lifts up his shit and aims, shots me once more and that's that. Don't shotguns lose punch at longer distances?

Aside from the beta, headshots in U2 killed in only 1 less bullet than body shots.

For me it's; If I'm using the double-barrel: people die in 1 to 3 shots. If I'm getting shot with it: I die on the first shot, every time. lol
 
I'm not liking this game at all. Aiming in U2 felt smoother and more responsive. U3 feels really clunky and aiming is a pain in the ass. I also rage more at this game because this game seems to spawn more enemies behind you than its predecessor. What is it with ND and shitty their shitty respawning algorithm?

On a positive note, pulldowns and melee feel better in this game though.
 
Blindfiring the double barrel shotgun sucks, but if you aim with it, you will kill the person in 2 shots. I prefer it that way than the SAS. I fucking hate that shotgun.

sawed-off blindfire 1 hit + melee combo kills opponents quite proficiently

I've had many a death where I tried to perform a kick off only for the wrong animation come out. Shit's pretty buggy.
 
I haven't played it in a while but who decided to bring back Highrise out of all the maps? Just tell me it wont be one of the feature maps in UC3
