Uncharted 4 by a landslide, especially on the PRO.
007 has animations from the PS3 era. Total garbage đź—‘
In a way, not even that.
The Last of Us is a PlayStation 3 game and has better animations.

She really sucks.
They are super-rigid, PS2-style. Blending between animations is very poorly done, some actions stop completely before the animation can play out. It's extremely dated. How are the animations bad in 007? They've been a positive for me. All the climbing, clambering, walking through huge crowds, and obviously the insane melee combat… everything animates wonderfully. What am I missing?

You haven't played many video games to think those animations are at an acceptable level in 2026.How are the animations bad in 007? They've been a positive for me. …have you played the game? You haven't played many video games to think those animations are at an acceptable level in 2026.
But if you don't want to compare it to a Sony game, go ahead.
You have RDR2, which is a marvel in those technical aspects, and it's another game that runs on a PlayStation 4.
Im with this guy....Last gen graphics at high resolutions with rock solid 60fps >>>>>>>>> "next gen" graphics at 720p full of upscalling smearing and artifacting.
No game this gen has changed my mind on this.
Good animation but at cost of shitty ass controls. If have to choose between mid level animation with better controls or RDR2 I would choose mid level animation. You have RDR2, which is a marvel in those technical aspects, and it's another game that runs on a PlayStation 4.
Have you ever played an Uncharted game?…have you played the game?
RDR2 is a poor example. Its animations look better than Naughty Dog, but the real and extremely important difference is that ND animations do not prioritize the animation, so they look amazing while being extremely responsive. You haven't played many video games to think those animations are at an acceptable level in 2026.
But if you don't want to compare it to a Sony game, go ahead.

Every single one of them. What's your point? I'm asking if the guy played 007 yet, also the other guy. Because what he's saying about the animations is bullshit.Have you ever played an Uncharted game?
But you can see the animations without even playing the game.…have you played the game?
Honestly bald chick wouldn't be a problem if she didn't clearly didn't have such a WELL THAT HAPPENED! Personality shining through.
No, it's not bullshit at all.Every single one of them. What's your point? I'm asking if the guy played 007 yet, also the other guy. Because what he's saying about the animations is bullshit.
But you can see the animations without even playing the game.
The gameplay itself is another matter entirely, and mind you, the game is probably very playable and the Bond world is well done.
But the animations are there; they're showcased in the gameplay videos.
An example of exquisite animation:
PlayStation 4/ Xbox One game:
No, it's not bullshit at all.
If you really can't see the difference between Uncharted motion blending and this:
I may suggest an optometrist.
I'm giving you the example of a game where all the animations flow organically, where the Euphoria biophysics engine does excellent work.I knew you hadn't played it lol.
Show me some of these "unacceptable animations in 2026" in 007. It's complete and utter bullshit. The melee combat alone with how reactive it is to the environment is insane.
You avoided my question.I'm giving you the example of a game where all the animations flow organically, where the Euphoria biophysics engine does excellent work.
I can't even imagine what they'll be able to do in GTAVI; it's one of the things I'm most excited to see.
They achieve breathtaking realism.
I can't speak about Uncharted 4 because I don't remind it very well but TLOU2 which I replayed more recently shows also similar horrid textures or poor poly details on objects (go to see the cutscene where the Wolf boss eating an hexagonal apple). So I would be very careful before to say ND games are immaculate because if we really start to examine such stuff you could find a lot of bads surprises.I know for a fact Uncharted 4 has nothing looking like this.

Yeah, I don't think anyone touches ND when it comes to realistic animations. This is more a matter of skill and care than technology. They are super-rigid, PS2-style. Are you talking about 120fps mode?Uncharted 4 on Pro is exactly the same as on regular PS5.
This game NEEDS dedicated Pro version with PSSR - image quality in performance mode sucks ass.
Wait! Those weren't the low res assets? I'll keep playing the collection, then.I think they trade blows. Bond on PC with DLSS 4.5 can look quite impressive:

I have yet to see low res assets posted by @Gonzito (later missions?)
Are you talking about 120fps mode?
Sure, if it's running at 1080p...
But why would you want to play Uncharted 4 at 120fps?
The best way to play it is at 1440p@60fps, and it looks fantastic.
Wait! Those weren't the low res assets? I'll keep playing the collection, then.
It's the point. With PSSR you can play it at 120fps with even better IQ of the base at 60 fps.Are you talking about 120fps mode?

It's you who clearly has no clue of what he's talking about.I don't give a shit about Uncharted 4, which btw doesn't have anywhere near as good melee combat animations. This is an objective fact. 007 is basically a Yakuza game with it melee combat, except with higher production values and context sensitive environment interaction. You have no idea what you're talking about.
Both of those guys said the game has PS3 animations, that aren't acceptable in 2026, and they're both completely fucking wrong.
Nothing looking that. Nor in TLOU2. I can bet whatever you want, explored every inch of these games. There's nothing like that in Uncharted 3 either.I can't speak about Uncharted 4 because I don't remind it very well but TLOU2 which I replayed more recently shows also similar horrid textures or poor poly details on objects (go to see the cutscene where the Wolf boss eating an hexagonal apple). I'd argue Uncharted 3 had better animations in 2011.I mean...you should if you are in a topic that compares it with another game. And clearly you lack some understanding on that game lol
It's you who clearly has no clue of what he's talking about.

The amount of contextual animations in the game is crazy.

You can play the 1440p mode on Pro at an almost locked 120 when unlocking the framerate.
I was responding to a different post in the thread claiming 007 has shitty animation. Both him and the other guy haven't even played the game.I mean...you should if you are in a topic that compares it with another game. And clearly you lack some understanding on that game lol
It's still a PlayStation 4 game.Yes, it's not locked (drops to 90-100) but runs quite fine overall. My biggest issue is with image quality.

Well there's no magic, the only way to achieve the kind of lighting in the Nate's house at native 1080p (and with at the time never seen before on console revolutionary TAA implementation on top), ten years ago on PS4, is to make any compromise necessary. It's called optimization. You'd also see PS6 looking assets in less demanding levels.Yes, it's not locked (drops to 90-100) but runs quite fine overall. My biggest issue is with image quality.
U4 assets:
I'm talking about that 1440p mode, this is just simple upscaling with blurry TAA. This game would look MUCH better if they replaced it with PSSR (similar to TLOU).
And 120FPS mode could run with PSSR 1080p->4k as well. Big fucking missed opportunity for Sony/ND not doing Pro patch for this game.
U4 is not exactly known for high res textures and high poly assets.

The 4k mode unlocked must get pretty close to 60fps locked on the Pro, no? I think it was already hovering around 50fps on the base console.
and you forgot money...the same with Rockstar games...Yeah, I don't think anyone touches ND when it comes to realistic animations. This is more a matter of skill and care than technology.
