Because you blindly assume it does, while the reality shows otherwise, and all the people with common sense see what's going on. VR has yet to prove itself as a worthy gaming device, and as of today it failed miserably trying to do so. Maybe this game will finally be it, who knows, but after so many years and so many titles people have all the right to be sceptical/pessymistic.
Was it now?
I use mine all the time and I'll be there day one for PSVR 2.0 and hopefully Astrobot 2.
I genuinely don’t understand the salt. It makes perfect sense. Valve are likely to deliver the first truly incredible VR game.
Yes it was. Because you use it all the time doesn't make it less niche for the majority of the gaming community.
I blindly assume? I have held a headset since the original Vive, even before that with Gear VR. Right now I own 7 VR Headsets including Vive, Rift CV1, 2 PSVR's, Rift S, Oculus quest, I own many great VR games and hunger for more. I think I understand how good VR is as a gaming device, more so than you I bet.
And you are the equivalant of someone who knows nothing about VR and likes to pretend they do. You think Valve is making a Half Life VR game because it think VR is going to fail? You think Sony is going all in with VR because its not selling well on the PS4? What inside information do you know that Valve, Facebook, Sony dont know? Not much is my guess. But YOU are not the equivalent or a judgement point for hundreds of millions of people.
But YOU are not the equivalent or a judgement point for hundreds of millions of people.
This is a point that VR haters do not understand, I personally do not understand why are people so against someone enjoying something that they themselves do not want. It is obvious there is a market, Sony is not one for pushing tech that fails.Did VR replace traditional gaming? No. It never was meant to and it never will. But it does have a growing audience that looks to continue to grow as we move into next gen.
Weird since they're ramping up to release new VR headsets for next generation and new games since it already failed.
Asgards Wrath, Just released. Oh and theres a little title called Half Life Alyx. maybe you haven't heard?Sony is. Tell me more about which VR titles have been blockbusters like God of War, the Witcher 3 etc.

Do you own a VR headset? Then why would I expect someone who dismisses VR to know anything about what good games are out for the platform. You really wanna know? then LMGTFY but my guess is your not here to learn more about a platform you know little about and more about crying about VR and how you don't want it so why should other people have it.wtf is Asgards Wrath
It doesn't even have a wiki page

Why? I am not trolling. I am a vr ethusiast started with dk1 and dk2.You have to be trolling.
Game doesn't have a wiki page so is no good, Elitist much?Naw, I don't own one. I'd expect I wouldn't be able to really live the lifestyle, seeing as I'm not a pretentious, elitist prat.
It still doesn't even have a wiki page.
Alyx Dating Simulator - F U L L Y M O D E L L E D
Uh, is Dr. Kleiner really telling everyone to … 'get busy' ?
Fair point, though Red Faction did come first, I'd argue it's Geo-Mod tech was far from a full fledged physics engine, and the gameplay implications of it and the impact to video game design as a whole both are less pronounced that Half Life 2's.Red faction?
Wow, for someone who isn't a pretentious elitist prat you sure are a piece of shit.Naw, I don't own one. I'd expect I wouldn't be able to really live the lifestyle, seeing as I'm not a pretentious, elitist prat.

After reading your comments i'll admit I went in a little hard on replying to your comment, My bad. Yet my comment still stands, some people here dismiss VR without really understanding it or even trying it. Let people who like VR play VR, flat screen gaming is going nowhere.

Someone who calls it like it is. You seem obsessed with wiki pages. It's ok. I don't have anything against VR. I genuinely hadn't heard of the game until I Googled it.
Who are you again? You also don't have a wiki page.

You're most likely right on the money. Just using the name and licence to boost sales of there stuff.I imagine Half-Life: Alyx will not actually be the next iteration of Half-Life. The game will likely be on par with Zelda: Zink's Crossbow Training.
Let's wait and see. I am looking forward to finding out if you are right. You're most likely right on the money. Just using the name and licence to boost sales of there stuff.
Hey it may even be fun, links crossbow training was decent but no one is gonna pretend it was the next mainline zelda.
Oh okay, but how many more VR games will do this I wonder before it becomes standard? If you watch Skillups video, he says that the game is 20-40 hours long.
Yes it was. Because you use it all the time doesn't make it less niche for the majority of the gaming community.
This game is just an exclusive for Oculus. People aren't going to know about it. But it's incredible.
The VR Defence Force is pure cringe.
Just admit you spent 1000$ to jerk off to VR porn and move on with your lives.
Valve is releasing a Half-Life VR game because they have a huge stake in VR tech. Like many other companies, they wanted to be first-to-market in the VR space, without considering the tech's future viability.
This announcement is horrible news. in my opinion. Probably one of the worst ways to continue the Half-Life saga.
I've set my expectations abysmally low. I imagine Half-Life: Alyx will not actually be the next iteration of Half-Life. The game will likely be on par with Zelda: Zink's Crossbow Training.
wtf is Asgards Wrath

It's rumoured to be a 12 - 16 hour single player experience. You're most likely right on the money. Just using the name and licence to boost sales of there stuff.

Oh no, not the lack of a wiki page.
Whatever will we do?
I dont ever limit myself to Wikipedia anyway. Youtube(ACG ), websites, reviews are where I do my research for games im interested in. Do you really only use Wikipedia?Guess, apparently.
